One thing left to do, he thought, and he sent Mickey a short e-mail message: “Here’s the dollar amount on my grandparents’ house. Need that shortlist.”
That done, he opened his manuscript file and did a final and careful edit of the first five s of his book. George had given him an e-mail address for his author friend and, more importantly, had learned that Philip, the author, used WordPerfect, so Chris sent a cover e-mail to the author and attached his manuscript along with his outline.
One more thing taken care of, he thought. I think I’ve earned a nap before lunch
