1 Chapter 1 - Her Name is Daisy

The sound of the door was opening. Zen with his three servants went inside at the same time. They stopped in front of the second door. At first, Zen let out a breath, then he entered followed by his servants.

Five girls with various expressions on their faces were now in front of Zen with his servants. Zen looked at the five girls one by one.

"These are documents about them, Boss. We would like to recommend you to girl number two. Her name is Daisy," said Tino, one of his trusted servants.

He received the five documents, and he glanced at each one of them. Then he gave it back to his servant.

Zen's eyes looked at the girl Tino recommended. The two pairs of girl's eyes had an innocent yet fragile expression. He liked that. He liked Daisy the moment he looked into her eyes.

"Bring her to me, I'll be waiting at the apartment," Zen ordered.

"Anything else, Boss?"

"Free them," Zen replied curtly, then turned to leave. Before that, he looked at Daisy one more time. The girl just lowered her head, and Zen smiled meaningfully.

Dinner has been arranged. Zen was ready with his appearance. He looked around and tried to find whether he needed something or not. But nothing, he knew his servants had prepared everything more than enough.

"Should we go, Sir?" asked Sari, his maid, representing the other maids.

"Yes, you can go back to my Mom's house." They lowered their heads and left Zen's apartment.

Zen's apartment bell is twinkled. He opened it and showed Daisy there with two of Zen's servants. He ordered Daisy in with a hesitant motion. Then, with a signal to tell his two servants to leave, Zen closed the door.

"Daisy … " Zen called.

"I don't know you, why do I have to be here?" Daisy asked suddenly.

"I know you have many questions for me. Let's discuss it at the dinner table."

"I want that answer now!" Daisy forced.

"Don't fight or I'll be rude to you, Daisy." A warning to Daisy was enough to slap her. She also followed Zen's command to be at the dining table.

Zen treats Daisy like a Queen. It was just with the motto 'limited.' Because, after all, the girl must obey him.

After dinner, Zen poured red wine into Daisy's glass. As a friend to talk to, to make it seem comfortable.

"I don't drink alcohol," said Daisy.

"What do you want me to change?"

"Water is more than enough."

A glass of water as Daisy's request was in front of her. So they started talking. "Please ask, Daisy."

"Who are you?" Daisy asked.

"Your future husband," Zen answered confidently. It was so stunning to say those two words without feeling embarrassed. Even he could see Daisy's surprise when she heard it.

Daisy blinked a few times. "W-what do you mean?"

Not enough with the answer from Zen, he also drew himself in front of Daisy. Unfortunately, only the table is a barrier between them.

"Your future husband, Daisy. Don't be surprised, from now on, you will get used to it and there are documents that you need to read as my wife in the future," he explained.

Daisy shook her head. She thought of it all and digested it. "No. I'm still in college. And you can't just ask me to be your wife!" Daisy stood up and got out of her chair, making a creaking sound from the chair.

"Sit down, Daisy," Zen ordered.

"Don't just order me around! I still have goals I have yet to achieve!"

"And you will achieve it with me."

"I even have a boyfriend!" Daisy shouted.

Zen's patience ran out. In the end, he stood up and looked at Daisy breathlessly. Emotions peaked. This girl in front of him had angered him.

Boyfriend. How could Zen not know that Daisy has a boyfriend? The document he got from his servants didn't even mention that.

Then Zen's mind fell on something. Maybe Daisy was dating another man secretly.

"Backstreet, huh?" said Zen. Daisy widened her eyes. She didn't know what to say when Zen had cornered her by asking her that.

Zen smiled. Feeling victorious. He walked over to Daisy. Daisy backed away as Zen stepped closer to her. "Don't come close!" Daisy whispered, feeling useless.

"Why? Because you have a boyfriend? Backstreet doesn't include dating, Daisy."

Daisy feels cornered. The wall behind her was a dead end. Her breath hitched when she felt Zen's breath in front of her. Somehow, she couldn't fight Zen.

Zen smiled. He blocked all exits for Daisy. Moreover, the smell of Daisy is very intoxicating for him. Made him feel weak for a while, but he fought hard. Zen can't be weak just because of the scent of girls' fragrances.

"Come on, sit down. We'll have a good talk," Zen said, turning around. He had his back to Daisy. The turmoil inside him desperately wanted Daisy, but he could wait until Daisy obeyed the rules he made.

Sitting on the sofa with the table as an intermediary is stiff for Zen. He also gave the document in the brown envelope to Daisy. Zen had to give it now before Daisy chose to leave him.

"Read," he ordered.

Daisy was reading the document, while Zen reached for his red wine. He drank it while noticing Daisy's charm.

"Paid? You mean I'll be your paid wife?" Daisy asked in disbelief at the document she had just read.

"Well, but you get the right as a wife. You should read through and ask what you don't know. All of that is printed, Daisy. I'm not a random person or broken promise," explained Zen.

"I want to go home," Daisy pleaded.

"You can't go home without agreeing to it. I've confirmed your parents first."

***

It was hard for Zen to sleep at night while across the room was another room occupied by Daisy. He wanted to know what Daisy was thinking. What is the answer?

But indeed, on a typical night, Zen has trouble sleeping. Hard worker and billionaire as his title was the thing that entangled his mind. Even though he was tough on something and powerful, he couldn't let his reputation fall.

There was a knock on Zen's bedroom door. It made him flinch and get out of bed. He opened it and found Daisy there. Haven't changed her clothes with the clothes that Zen has provided.

"You gave me the document to read," Daisy said.

"Right."

"Then you can't let me go until I agree."

Zen's eyebrows rose, not understanding Daisy's point. "Say what you mean, Daisy."

"Whether I go or not, in the end, you still want to marry me, don't you? So, my approval won't mean anything to you."

Zen crossed his arms. He stared intently at Daisy. Not touch her or tease her. But Daisy's gaze seemed to beg him to touch her.

"I'll give you time to trust me. Even to get to know me more deeply. And … maybe you'll even fall in love with me," Zen said confidently.

"Why the hell are you so confident?"

"Because that's going to be the case someday. Change your clothes and get some sleep, tomorrow's a long day for us." Then Zen closed his bedroom door slowly, leaving Daisy still petrified in front of his bedroom door.
