19 Chapter 19 Meeting

Konoha

The sun rose high in the sky, and the peaceful blue sky gave tranquility to everyone's hearts.

The searing sun of July was too much for civilians to bear on the spacious streets, as they wiped the sweat from their brows.

The temperature was high but the atmosphere in the Hokage Office was even hotter.

Inside the Hokage Office, three men and one woman stood before the sixth Hokage, Kakashi Hatake, all staring at the man with a goatee.

"Is it really your son, Shikamaru?"

Naruto inquired, his gaze fixed on Shikamaru, still unable to believe that a slacker like him could have a son who was the reincarnation of the God Killer.

"Sigh..."

Shikamaru stroked his temples, as the realization that his son was a reincarnation was too much for him to bear.

Said Kakashi, staring at Shikamaru, as Satoshi's safety is their primary priority right now.

What if a powerful guy from Kara sneaks into the village the next time and tries to kill Satoshi? They had no choice but to protect him.

"Concerning this... I believe we should leave it alone... the last time someone got inside the village, we were unable to discover him"

"We don't know whether the enemy employed transportation, Jutsu, or something else to invade the village. We have no idea what's going on"

"But we do know one thing: they don't know who the reincarnation is, else they would have gone right to Satoshi instead of meandering in the Death Forest."

"Overcautiousness can be costly, and we don't know how they knew the God Killer's reincarnation was in Konoha"

Shikamaru, whose mind is always thinking ahead of others, voiced his opinion.

When Kakashi heard his suggestion, he looked around the room at the other three people: a woman with blonde hair, a handsome man with a black cape and black hair covering his left eye, and the war hero, Naruto Uzumaki.

"Then let us follow Shikamaru's advice."

Tsunade and Naruto spoke up right away, agreeing with Shikamaru, however, the black cape man just nodded.

"That's all right!"

After hearing their thoughts, Kakashi agreed and decided to leave Satoshi alone as before.

As Shikamaru stated, they have no idea where Kara's information came from or how they were able to determine Satoshi's position.

In such cases, when they are unaware of their opponents' capabilities, it is best to restrict this topic to a small circle.

"By the way, did your son say anything about this Isshiki Otsutsuki or Kara?"

Suddenly recalling something, Kakashi inquired, since Sasuke had been investigating this organization "Kara" for some time but had yet to unearth any evidence of its existence.

Soon, the emergency meeting came to an end, as Shikamaru, rubbing his sore neck and complaining, strode towards his home.

"Dad, where were you? Hurry, dinner is almost ready!!"

Shikamaru unlocked the front door and entered the home, but was met by Shikadai, his cheeks puffed up.

"Welcome back, Honey"

"Dad, welcome back."

Shikamaru was astonished to see Shikadai before him, but the voices that followed surprised him even more, as Temari, wearing an apron, and Satoshi, holding the newly-obtained sword, arrived to greet him with smiles on their faces.

"Ha..."

"I'm home!!"

Seeing his family before him, Shikamaru had some emotion in his eyes for a moment before shaking his head. He chuckled and moved forward, rubbing Shikadai and Satoshi's heads as he went.

Satoshi and Shikadai followed him, and the cheerful, warm family dinner was soon started.
