Chapter 7

Akira was the first one to get to the meeting place.

Walking around the town, he quickly got bored. Landscape-wise, there was nothing special to see, and it was even less interesting at night.

The meeting spot where he and Shira would receive training from his uncle was on the outskirts of town. In a small forest with tall pine trees that weren't clustered too closely together.

It was possible to catch glimpses of the lights of the village in the distance.

Lounging on a patch of grass, Akira had completely processed his food and all the new intel given to him by his system that had leveled up from a plugin.

There weren't any more differences than what he had already seen. There was the cultivation and rest aspect, the babies' aspect…

But there was also a brand-new feature that let Akira find out his future moves, skills, and types of Pokemon ahead of time. This was likely the major difference between the system being a plugin and now evolving into a system. Nothing was random anymore, and it didn't leave any more room for guesses and gambles.

Akira was happy about it because he wasn't sure which path to choose when it came to the early development of his skills. He was trying to brush up on his puppetry skills, but now he didn't feel the need to… He was glad that the system was now in place and could help him make predictions, because without it, he would have wasted time and made a mistake.

The reason Akira was thinking that was plain and simple. It was because his future sixth Pokemon type was going to be the bug type.

His next four future types were going to be:

[Dark, Bug, Poison, and Grass.]

However, Akira already possessed the dark type from birth, so it wasn't taken into account and was substituted with the fighting type. This would happen every time the dark type appeared and reappeared on the new lines.

For some reason that the system was too lazy to explain, Akira couldn't learn Dark type moves from the Pokemon world.

He had to learn moves that corresponded to the "dark" side of things in the Naruto universe. There were many of them, and some of them resembled both ghosts and normal types. Actually, any skill, especially one involving forbidden objects, could be considered dark. So, what the hell.

Akira didn't mind because he'd been told and retold how talented he was in the dark type. It had to be true, so he didn't worry.

[Fighting, bug, poison, and grass]...

With the dark type switched for another, those were Akira's actual four next types.

His next moves were to be:

[Mach Punch, String Shot, Poison Sting, and Asborb.]

He would also gain two new "Odd Skills" as a result of the bug and poison types, and a third as a result of the grass type.

String Shot alone was compelling Akira to abandon his plans to remain a Shinobi specializing in puppet manipulation. But it was the bug type and the odd skill that came with it, known as Bug Speech, that clinched the deal for him.

He didn't want to be a simple puppeteer any longer.

Even though Akira hadn't yet unlocked the skill, he could read the locked description. He couldn't have done this if the system was still a plug-in:

[Bug Speech (locked): A skill that allows the user to communicate and bond with bugs and other insects, similar to but superior to the Aburame. As you get stronger, it gets stronger.]

The other two strange abilities he would gain as a result of the poison and grass types were going to be just as useful, if not more ridiculous, if they were to fall in the hands of people like Orochimaru...

Akira had no regrets about not attempting to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Kankuro after seeing what he was about to receive. He and Kankuro were only going to be similar in that they would both use poisons.

Akira, having changed his focus for his future training goals, was only sitting on the grass at this gathering spot, eager to delve deeper into honing his chakra control, taijutsu, and kunai skills.

Shira and Yashamaru soon arrived, and he was no longer alone.

Yashamaru was the first to speak when he saw him sitting alone, not doing anything lazily.

He asked, "Why do you have such a long face? How long have you been here?"

Yashamaru had a bloated stomach, likely from overeating. He was much funnier than what was shown with Gaara.

Despite this natural talent he had, he was still happily single at his age, just like Kakashi.

"Just a few minutes…" Akira replied and stood up.

He didn't explain why his face looked thoughtful.

He said, "No matter how I might look to you right now, I think I'm looking like this because I'm pretty tired. The trip there and back has been a long one."

"Do you want to do this tomorrow?" Yashamaru was curious.

"Shira let me know that you and him have really connected and become real friends," he added. "You stupid kids… it was about time."

"While this makes me happy, I hope you can maintain your competitive edge. Can you? Shira intends to train all night."

Akira said, "We did end up becoming real and true friends with a new and unbreakable bond." When he said this, he looked at Shira, who was nodding but immediately felt awkward.

Shira was thinking about something. A war strategy.

When Shira's head began to spin with the thought of carrying out that plan, Akira continued, "However, about our training session, let's not reschedule."

"I simply meant that I was exhausted. I wasn't saying I wasn't going to push through the fatigue. If it's possible, I'd like to broaden my taijutsu experience and knowledge. I believe I have some glaring flaws..."

Akira continued, this time looking at Shira,

"When you were wasted and knocked out, Shira, I heard from uncle about that new skill you were working on, can you show me?"

"I haven't quite mastered that skill yet," Shira replied. "It's extremely hazardous. I intended to work on the final details this month."

"Since it's most likely taijutsu, you can use me as a guinea pig if you need one." Akira said this as he thought about Shira's ability, which he remembered from Naruto.

He couldn't remember the name of the skill, but he knew it was something like the eight gates. To be more specific, some breathing technique.

Yashamaru immediately said to his daring nephew, attempting to stop him while he could,

"... Are you sure about that?" I've personally witnessed Shira's use of that skill against me. Don't underestimate it; if you don't pay attention for a second because you're tired, you could lose a few ribs."

Akira, on the other hand, was a steel type who was fearless and unafraid of fighting types. He ignored the advice because none of his types had flaws.

He and Shira were both elite chunins with similar skills, so he wasn't going to back down.

He quickly took a standing and fighting position in the center of the small forest, inviting his previous rival and now friend to join him, eager to break a sweat and possibly help Shira gain some insight while fighting.

He liked to help people, especially friends, and he wanted Shira to become strong because the world was dangerous. Training with him on a regular basis was a good idea for that.

Akira already had strong people around him who would continue to grow strong with him, such as Gaara, but this world didn't rely solely on talent to achieve greatness. Training anyone was not a waste of time because anything was possible.

People like Shira and Lee, who had no hope of conquering the world with taijutsu alone without risking their lives, could still become as powerful as they desired using conventional methods in this world.

As long as Shira had a solid, not unsafe grasp of a certain level of that breathing technique of his, Akira would have another valuable presence with him during the chunin exams.

Akira didn't know when he'd be able to fuck his sister and dual cultivate with her. He wasn't even certain he wanted to do it. Even if he suddenly became a pervert, he had no idea how to seduce women. He had even less knowledge of how to seduce his own sister. So he had to rely on more conventional means to surround himself with strong allies.

After Gaara, he could only think of Shira when it came to such allies.

In this world, Gaara was also a jinchuriki, but the One Tail had been sealed inside him after he was born, which was why Karura didn't die.
