Bigger Fish.

Upon waking, I found myself floating inside a sonething filled with fluid, unable to move my limbs or even open my eyes.

I couldn't help but wonder if Amado had made modifications to me. The thought crossed my mind: could he shut me down at his whim? That would indeed pose a significant problem.

'I need to get out of this damn thing!' I thought urgently, attempting to move my limbs, only to discover that I couldn't even wiggle a finger.

Suddenly, I experienced a wave of pain coursing through my entire body, and my eyes twitched open.

Moving my eyes downward, I could see that I had grown taller, and my once-short white hair now extended down to my stomach, floating and swaying within the liquid surrounding me.

If my memory serves me right, Code and I were both delivered to Amado together. Is he here now? If so, then where is he?

Straining my eyes, I could make out another container resembling mine, but instead of Code, there was a girl with blue hair adorned with pink highlights.

She was butt naked, and I could sense an extremely potent power emanating from her. Something attempted to manipulate my mind, but I resisted with all my power, successfully warding off the intrusion.

Judging by her figure, she appeared to be around ten or eleven years old. When I was brought to this place, I was seven, and now I resembled a ten-year-old. Does this imply that I have been inside this container for three years?

'So, she's Eida?' I thought to myself. Her eyes twitched slowly, and as she opened them, I could see the fabled moon symbol with a dot on her eyes, the same one that Hagoromo and Hamura used to seal their mother.

As her eyes met mine, I could sense her embarrassment at being seen naked by someone else, especially a boy.

Before we could scrutinize each other too much, the room slid open, and Amado entered with clothes and some food. He operated the computer, causing the liquid inside the containers to drain away. Now, I could clearly see Eida, and she could see me; we were both naked, so there was no hiding.

I didn't feel any different than before, though my body might have been a bit weaker, possibly due to the limiters Amado had placed on me. "Fucker." I couldn't help but mutter.

Eida took one last look at me before the container's door opened, allowing both of us to step outside.

I felt relieved that I wasn't a pedo, even though I found myself strangely attracted to her. It was probably the influence of her omnipotence charm, and I reminded myself that I wasn't fully Otsutsuki yet.

The moment I removed the inhaler, my first question to Amado was, "Where is Code?"

Simultaneously, Eida asked him, "Where is Daemon?" after she removed her inhaler.

I glanced at her and found her looking at me with the same determined look in her eyes, as if to convey, "Only after he gives me my answer."

I shrugged my shoulders and proceeded to put on my clothes. After all, I wasn't his lover or anything, so it didn't really matter to me. My main concern was to beat him the fuck up.

Kawaki, initially a poor, honest, and kind boy subjected to mistreatment, would later transform into a bastard who would take away the happiness of another person's life.

Eida continued to watch me closely, prompting me to ask, "What?" as I dressed. Despite my unfamiliarity with her, I had the decency to grab the clothes Amado had provided and toss them to her.

Amado, that stubborn bastard, remained as silent as ever. Frustration mounting, I demanded, "Oi! Are you going to answer us or not?" while fixing my piercing blue eyes on him.

"Code is with the others. Daemon is still undergoing the procedure," Amado replied with his usual emotionless expression, further fueling my desire to pummel him.

Then, I asked, "How long was I in this container?" He provided the answer, revealing that I had spent three years and six months inside, making me ten years old now, with eleven just half a year away.

"Eida, you were asleep for the same duration in the container, but you're one year older than Shiro," he stated in his robotic manner. It was perplexing how someone could remain so devoid of emotion.

"Huh? What did you even do to my body anyway?" Eida inquired, echoing a question that had been on my mind as well. We both wanted to know exactly what Amado had done to our bodies.

"You guys will find out soon enough. I've made quite a few alterations to your DNA, so don't be alarmed if you notice physical changes," Amado stated matter-of-factly. He then motioned for us to follow him.

I followed Amado, I wanted to learn about the progress of my karma. I hoped it had advanced slowly; otherwise, Jigen might consider letting the Ten Tails consume me, and that was something I wanted to avoid at all costs.

Eida eventually joined us, and as we walked down the hallway, it was clear that many people were blushing around her, affected by her presence.

Eida took a moment to process the fact that those around her were blushing, but I noticed that Amado appeared unaffected. This only deepened my suspicion that Amado was concealing something significant.

However, I remained unaffected, not because I was immune, but because I had never submitted to the feelings that were being forced upon me.

Eida remained silent, following Amado without uttering a word. We soon arrived at the hall where Jigen sat in a chair with his food on the table.

Amado gestured for us to sit down, and Jigen remained silent, focused on his meal. It was becoming apparent why Kawaki had been scared of Jigen; even his eating habits seemed ominous.

"Lord Jigen, the process was completed this morning, and I've also installed limiters in his body," Amado reported, gesturing toward me. As always, he had a cigarette in his mouth, and he brought out a lighter to ignite it, taking a puff as he spoke.

Amado spoke up again, saying, "She's a little bit stronger than you." Jigen appeared uninterested, but Eida and I were aware that he had been paying attention to every word.

Giving her a single glance, Jigen ordered Amado in a plain voice, "Have Boro dispose of her."

Jigen was unaware that Eida couldn't be killed by a normal person; only Otsutsuki and blood relatives were unaffected by her charm. Amado had kept this crucial information from him.

It seemed my suspicions were correct; Amado was the bigger fish, dwarfing the danger that was Jigen.
