A week passed by. The recent events were quite a headache to handle but did it nonetheless.

Sumire hasn't shown up in class after the incident, whether she's dead or alive is not known yet, I still haven't asked Mitsuki about the aftermath.

Though, It'll be interesting if she decides to show up, afterall her hatred toward me isn't something that can swept away that easily.

I was currently on top of the Hokage faces, sitting at the edge and looking over the horizon. The cold breeze gave me a peace of mind.

The sun was about to set soon. Yesterday's battle was not easy by any means, though that Jutsu of mine is something that I'm proud of.

But... My power is still not enough. I'm getting a feeling that there is something above us... Something... More powerful than anything I've seen.

With a series of hand signs, I held out my right hand.

*Chirp*

A blue sparkle of lightning emerged from my palm, the sparkle continued until it was constant, forming an unstable arrow-like shape.

*Chirp* x1000

The sound of a thousand birds chirping was rather pleasant to hear, my right hand started shaking, threatening to lose control of the Jutsu.

I gripped my right hand with my left, gaining stability. I added more chakra, the more I added the more unstable it became.

I slowly let my left hands grip loose, concentrating with every ounce of my mental strength, I was able to hold the Jutsu with a single hand.

Slowly opening my eyes, I saw that my Chidori's had transformed from blue to green, more unstable and powerful. One wrong move and I'll probably injure myself.

The Jutsu created by the Sixth Hokage, Kakashi Hatake, and the one who made it one of the most powerful Jutsu in the world, Sasuke Uchiha... In my hands, at this very moment.

The purple-lightning will be a task to complete, adding the Yang element is really hard if you didn't know.

I slowly discharged the Chidori, undoing the Jutsu in a couple of minutes, by the time it had completely vanished, I'd been fully exhausted.

Not because of chakra consumption but mental energy. Resting for almost 20 minutes, My rigid breathing had already become normal and my energy soon refilled.

"Tch"

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. I lack in every department in terms of strength, skill, and stamina.

Sigh.

I need to up my game. Let's focus on physical prowess first. With that thought, I started training on my body, lifting boulders and doing exercises even after reaching my limits.

Time was flying and I didn't even pay attention to it.

"We'll be holding a practical exam tomorrow, so form teams of 3 and be prepared"

Shino said. Naturally, Mitsuki came running over and stood beside me. Shikadai already formed a team with Inojin and Cho-Cho for their iconic Ino-Shika-Cho trio combo.

Denki and Iwabe also formed a team. When did he start coming and how did they get along? I have no idea.

"Looks like nobody wants to team up with us, why is that, Boruto?"

"Not a clue"

"What about Metal?"

Looking to my right, I saw Metal anxiously looking around, possibly trying to find a team... He's not bad, but that nervousness of his is quite the pickle to pluck out.

"Personally, I wanted to ask the class rep. Since she's strong"

"Hmm? So you didn't finish her off?"

I asked him, a bit skeptical.

"I was unable to, the Anbu commander, Sai intervened"

Oh, so that's how it turned out, huh... A person whose job is to eliminate any threat to the village saves that said threat. How ironic.

We spoke in whispers, not wanting the others to hear it. Now, who will be our third member?

.

.

.

.

Today was the day of the exam and we failed to find a third a member. But Shino said it was ok, since this was just a competition to gauge our individual strengths.

"Let's win this, Boruto"

I nodded at Mitsuki's words, he was a fine ally. The goal was to reach the flag that was on top of a semi-building,

*Whistle*

"Everyone. Line up!"

Everyone lined up and heard the rules of the practical exam. Apparently, we can use Jutsu's and ninja tools, which I didn't have any problems with.

He gave a motivational speech before ordering us to get ready.

I looked around, observing my "opponents"... Yeah, this'll be over in an instant.

"Ready... Set... Go!"

*Swoosh*

Body-Flickering multiple times, I got ahold of the flag within no time whatsoever. I got down and stood beside Mitsuki.

"Sigh... I knew this would happen"

Shikadai said with a helpless smile. Even though I won, I felt no satisfaction at all... I mean why would I?

It's like slaying a level 10 Boss when you're level 100, it's just overkill. Looking around I noticed that nobody was present... They were in front of the gate, gathered around in a circle.

Shikadai rushed over along with Mitsuki. I walked forward and got a view... It was Sumire... Smiling... Happily? She's happy?

Why does she look so happy around them? Does she really... Think of them as friends. Well what do you know, you learn something new every day.

She glanced at me for a second and turned her head, locking her eyes with mine, and... Her eyes held no malice? What kind of witchcraft is this? Who the fuck was able to do that?

There's no fucking way someone convinced her like that... I can understand if she truly considered "them" as friends... But me?

Someone who even gravely injured her? I was truly surprised... I never thought people could change that much… or can they?

This girl is really unpredictable and stupid. Well, atleast she prevented her death by herself, I guess that's something to be praiseworthy of.

But seriously. Did she really change? or did her acting skills just improve? Urgh... What a headache.

[A/N: Sorry for the late update, we had a test so I had to prepare for it. It's over now, I can finally write in peace]
