3 Hiashi's Words

"Here"

Hanabi placed a plate full of dangers on the ground, she picked one and handed it to Boruto.

He grabbed the stick containing Dango and stuffed it inside his mouth.

"Mm~"

The sweet flavor of Dango melted in his mouth, it was incredibly delicious.

"Do you like it"

Hanabi asked as she ate one herself, Boruto nodded in reply, and in the blink of an eye, the plate was emptied by them.

"Ha~"

Boruto had a look of satisfaction on his face, Hanabi too enjoyed the small meal with Boruto.

"Hey, big sis... Can I you teach me how to do that"

"Teach you what?"

Hanabi was puzzled, what was he talking about?

"You disappeared and reappeared beside me when we were at the dining hall... How did you do that?"

"Oh, that! It was Jutsu"

"Can you teach me that?"

Hanabi smiled, she supported her chin with her palm as she pondered, meanwhile, Boruto kept quiet eager to hear her response.

'It's just a D-Rank... There's no harm in teaching him that... Right?'

"....Ok, I'll teach you but there's a condition"

Boruto's mood brightened.

"Whatever you say"

"You mustn't tell your mom that I taught you this"

Boruto hastily nodded, Hanabi backed away and stood a few meters apart from him.

"The name of this Jutsu is 'The body flicker Jutsu', you need only one hand sign to perform it. You need to vitalize your whole body by circulating Chakra through your body at an accelerated pace and then release it through your feet"

The young Uzumaki carefully listened to every word she spoke, Hanabi nodded before taking a deep breath.

"Now watch"

She said so before her body completely disappeared from Boruto's vision, his instincts screamed to move his body, but he suppressed them and sat there without making a single move.

Hanabi appeared behind him almost instantaneously, Boruto shifted his head and gazed at her.

"Now, your turn"

Boruto nodded at her word, he went ahead and took position on the grassy ground.

'It's not that hard from what I saw'

Boruto cleaned his mind of any unecceassry thoughts, his mind was swept clean as he started to vitalize his body using Chakra.

Flush...

Boruto held out a tiger hand sign, he closed his eyes and pushed the circulating Chakra under his feet like a piston.

His vision blurred, in an instant, Boruto was flying past Hanabi... She caught him mid-air before he crashed onto a tree.

"Phew~ that was close"

Hanabi sighed as she dropped him to the ground.

"I didn't expect you to learn it on your first try, but you're my nephew, I wouldn't expect anything less"

She said proudly, rubbing the bridge of her nose. Boruto smiled awkwardly at that.

"Well, Let's go inside, it's time for breakfast"

They bith entered the dining hall, Naruto was chatting with Hiashi while carrying Hima in his arms, meanwhile, Hinata was knitting a scarf.

"Ah Boruto, come here... Try on this scarf"

Hinata gestured for him to come closer, Boruto obeyed and neared her. She wrapped a black scarf around his neck before pulling out a portable mirror.

"It looks good"

Boruto expressed his thoughts, he smelled the scarf, It smelled like lanolin. Hinata smiled and pulled him closer, she planted a kiss on his forehead.

"Why didn't you tell me you liked scarfs Boruto, I would've also knitted one for you"

Hanabi pouted, Hinata looked at Boruto only to see an awkward smile present on his face.

"Sorry"

"I'm just kidding, no need to apologize"

Hanabi waved her hands as she closed her eyes, Hinata patted his shoulder whilst shaking her head left to right.

The day quickly went by as per usual, Currently, it was night-time.

Boruto was sitting near the small pond, the moonlight shining all over him, he gazed at the reflection of the moon on the pond.

Boruto channeled Chaka through his eyes, he slowly opened them only to be disappointed.

'Nothing, just like always'

Unknown to Boruto, a pair of two White-eyes were watching him through the wall.

"Sigh... Poor kid, I think he was trying to awaken his Byakugan"

"That kid"

Both Naruto and Hiashi chuckled.

"I told him about the Byakugan when he questioned about Hinata's eyes... I never thought he would straight up try it"

"He's still a kid Naruto, he doesn't know what it takes to achieve it"

Naruto nodded at his words, he sipped his tea before they continued their previous conversation.

***

"Big sis Hinata, you know, I think Boruto might be the best Shinobi in this generation"

"Oh... Why do you think so?"

Hanabi flinched at her question but quickly recovered.

" *Cough* Just my guts... Yeah guts"

Hanabi nodded at her own words before she hastily covered herself in her blanket.

Sigh

"This girl"

Hinata shook her head with a sigh before she also went to sleep.

***

"Mm~"

The sunlight awoke Boruto from his slumber, he slowly opened his eyes as he stretched his arms.

'... Did I fall asleep while meditating? Am I outside?'

He touched the ground only to feel the short grass in between his fingers.

"Sigh... Young man, you need to pay attention to your sense of time"

Boruto gazed at the source of the sound, he saw Hiashi sitting near him looking over at the small pond.

"... Yeah"

Boruto lazily replied as he positioned his body to sit, he gazed at the pond along with Hiashi.

Silence enveloped the atmosphere, none of the two uttered a word, they seem to enjoy it.

"In all my life I've seen multiple kids more mature at their age than they're supposed to be... There was a particular kid who could think quite like a Hokage when he was only 5 years old"

"What do you mean, grandpa?"

"I'm saying that you don't need to act in front of me young man, there isn't anything wrong with maturing faster in this bloody-filled world"

Silence again filled the atmosphere, Hiashi patted Boruto's shoulder before he walked away.

'Then... He could help me get stronger'

Boruto's stomach growled against his will, he mumbled in annoyance before heading inside to fill his tummy.
