THE THIRD WISH

(5 Years later),

It had been an extremely eventful time period. I finally met my sister, Alice. My mother was insistent on the name and faced no opposition from anyone. She was two years younger than me and is the prettiest baby that I had ever seen. But due to this all males present i.e. my dad, granddads and I shared a look amongst each other. She is to be protected and she was going to be our little princess.

That matter aside I chose to practice Japanese archery, (Kyudo) from the age of three. It really is a good way, a very good way of developing and maintaining good posture and general physical good health but it is most beneficial in terms of developing self-awareness and mental wellbeing, concentration and determination. Due to my young age developing my physical parameters would be foolish so rather I started working on mastering my abilities and increasing my mental fortitude. I would have to face a lot of pressure and obstacles and it is extremely important to have a calm and collected mind.

On the academic side of things, I could say without a hint of falsehood that I was among the smartest of my generation. With the help of my mom I slowly finished learning and mastering sciences, literature and arithmetic to high school level, which was quite an achievement. I also have learnt various instruments as I love music.

But the most important thing to happen was that I finally received my third wish from god, though it was not an experience I could ever anticipate.

(FLASHBACK 1 YEAR AGO)

I was meditating in our yard when all of sudden I could feel the surroundings change. I was back in the place/house of the divine entity that sent me here. I bowed respectfully to the entity in front of me and awaited his instructions. It merely smiled and began,

'You have surpassed my expectations from you, truth be told I expected you to have lazed around a bit before actually starting to put in work. But you were diligent since birth and kept your kind caring and helpful nature in your next life. Even after being given a golden spoon you never took anything for granted and always worked your hardest. It was my test for you and you have passed.'

"I was unaware that I was being tested but thankfully it seemed to go well. Can I assume this is about the last boon?" Masahiko asked.

'It indeed is. Earlier I would have just used this time to remind you of your responsibilities had you failed and helped correct you back on the right path but as it is not needed I will enhance your already received gifts though you would have to work hard on mastering them. So your 'Emperors Eye' will become as potent as 'Observation Haki' with a few limitations which you would have to discover by yourself. You'll also gain Godspeed impulse. And I'll keep it so that none of your family face any natural difficulties be it diseases or disasters.'

Before I could fully digest this information I was back in my yard and saw a cat with an arrow stuck in her. Due to the tragic scene in front of me as well as the feeling from my previous life, I lost control and screamed at the top of my voice. I was immediately surrounded with many bodyguards, but they couldn't help in this matter. Soon my grandmothers entered the compound and upon seeing the entire situation could make some sense of it. The cat was taken to a vet as it was still breathing and I went along with my grandmothers. They sat me down beside them and asked what happened.

I didn't answer kept muttering sorry. They figured that I shot the cat by accident and thought that it was killed by me. They consoled me and told me that cat was going to be fine. But I should take responsibility and take care of it. All lives were important except certain ones and that those in power should look after those without it.

After spending some time with me, they tucked me in bed and left. I had killed before in my previous life but never had a killed an innocent. The feeling of killing someone who is after your life and a helpless cat are two different things. I had a very troublesome night, till a calming aura swept over me. I slept soon after.
