Exterminated!

Set's Cursed flame had already reached level 99 only one step away from a hundred. His flames were hot enough to melt through the bones of a power-type Saint hunter. Although it was much harder to melt through Saint Beasts than their hunter counterparts, it was sure to do the trick when faced with Demon beasts.

The Ants faced with the cursed flames could only let out cries before their crispy end! Set heard kill announcements one by one accompanied by a blood point, his face creeping into a grin as he charred all the ants in his path. As he charred his enemies, the scent of burnt corpses permitted through the air. After ten minutes Set finally killed the last Ant. He had already earned nearly 123 blood points as well as the same amount of beast cores.

Set seeing his blood point reserves rise was on the verge of tears. He then humbly absorbed the essence of the beast cores to reinforce the Cursed flame. But he couldn't get to level 100 no matter how much he absorbed. It was as if there was a barrier prohibiting him from reaching that level. Although he didn't understand the root of this cause, he was deeply troubled. And so he asked the system,

"Hey, why hasn't my Cursed flames reached level 100, yet?"

And like always the system came to the rescue with the answer.

[It is because you haven't unleashed its maximum potential. Once you do, the Cursed flame would undergo a qualitative transformation. Becoming obscenely more powerful than before.]

Although Set was glad to have gotten a justification for his bottleneck, it still didn't benefit him. As he still didn't know how to unleash the maximum potential of his flame. And just as he was about to ask the question of how? The system continued on by saying,

[You've already reached 56/10,000. You will achieve level 100 as soon as you reach the final mark. You can also use blood points to proceed further with the completion process.]

Hearing this, Set was shocked! Wasn't the number 56 the same amount of beast cores he had just absorbed? If that were real, by using both beast cores and blood points, he could increase his completion tally! This was just too much. Though, at first, he only wanted to annihilate the Ants due to his craving for blood points. But now he was being told that due to him not unleashing his full potential, he could not level up his Cursed flames to level 100. But then, instead of stopping there, he was informed he could unleash its maximum potential by killing a few Ants here and there, and sacrificing his precious blood point and beast cores.

With a smile on his face and corpses in his surroundings, Set sat down on the warm, charred ground and started absorbing the beast core essence like a mad man.

As he was absorbing essence from the beast cores, he heard light footsteps. As he turned to look at who was there, he saw the boy that had run away slowly walk towards him. After seeing the burnt corpses of over a hundred Ants, the boy was shocked. Such devastating power? How much time did it take? Ten? Fifteen minutes?!

With admiring eyes, the boy looked at Set and excitedly said,

"Big brother sure is strong, it didn't even take you fifteen minutes to kill all those Ants."

Hearing such words, Set puffed out his chest, said "This Ants, I can kill ten thousand of them!". While that was mere boasting, his words did have some truth to them. If half of the total Ant nest population is Demon class, then he was sure that he could destroy all of them without a hitch. Although the Saint Ants would be much harder to deal with, if he added in a little effort and used his head, only death and annihilation awaited them.

"Big brother, our meet today was defiantly the work of fate. Would you be able to help me?"

Hearing this, Set was impressed. When did little kids become so mature and intelligent? While, in his early days, he was a hundred times better, he was still impressed. He couldn't help but think, 'This kid sure has a sly tongue.'

"Then spit it out, kid."

"There is a special herb I need to acquire from the abode of the Ant King!" said the kid as though it was the simplest task. Simpler than taking a shit. Simpler than wiping your arse! It's better than washing your arms! Of course, for Set it was, but for any other Demon or even Saint hunter, it would be an impossible task. If not for the Unholy Armor and the king Raven brass knuckle, Set wasn't all too confident he would make it out alive, even if he had over two-thousand blood points.

And so, with a stern face, he said, "keep dreaming kid. I'm not going to put my life on one for a mere plant!" But even though he said those words, he was more drawn to what kind of herb was within the Ant King's layer.

"Big brother, don't be quick to decline. If you help me you will receive a handsome reward from my clan." Hearing about a beneficial pension, Set couldn't help but let out a chuckle. 'Rewards? How shallow of a person, do you think I am?'

Then with the most serious face he could make, he said, "What type of rewards are we talking about?"

. . .

Finally, after a while of talking, the two came to an understanding and began to go deeper into the labyrinth. And only after an hour of wandering, Demon Ants numbering in the fifties came crawling towards Set. But even before he could attack, an arrow was sent flying towards the Demon Ants. The arrow, though frail and flimsy, lodged deep into the eye of the Demon Ant. The Ant cried out in pain and glared towards the origin of the arrow.

Looking at the boy, the Ant raced toward him with the intent to kill. But just as it took its first step, its vision was filled with endless darkness and fear crept into its heart.

It unconsciously started shiver. But just as it was about to turn tails and run, its body exploded into nothing but a bloody mist, making the air feel as if it was death itself. After the blood mist dissipated, a red form was revealed. A Crimson Knight was seen with a mark of a black sun in the middle of the chest plate. Accompanied by a red brass knuckle that emanated death and red crimson armor that emanated absolute power.

If you still haven't caught on, you're either new or a DENSE motherfucker! The crimson knight was, of course, Set. looking at the remaining Ants smiled mischievously and with a light tap of his feet, he rushed towards the stunned masses with only one thing on his mind.

KILL!

Under the suppression of the ability [warlord], the Demon Ants were all frozen. Making harvesting blood points a simple task. But even if he didn't have the [warlord] ability, with the presence of the King Raven brass knuckle, Demon Ants... not even World-class Ants can resist the fear of their inevitable death. And just like that, the masses were blown up to bits, contributing blood points and beast cores to yours truly.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
