Emperor ... that was an Emperor!

The four filler characters hearing the voice turned around with panic written all over their faces. As they looked up, they saw a young man standing on a sword suspended in midair. The boss observing the young man, chuckled as he said, "Listen to me, move along if you don't want any trouble." By the looked of it, the young man looked about sixteen to seventeen. With such little time in the celestial plane, there was no way he would be stronger than them. Set hearing their reply, was pleased. I mean, if people like this didn't exist then where was he going to get blood points from? Excluding the celestial beasts of course.

"What if I want trouble?", asked Set with a slight grin. As to where the confidence came from, it came from the fact that the strongest of them all was just a high-level Demon hunter. "Boss let me kill this brat. If he goes and tells on us, our cover is blown," said one of the three men. The boss, hearing this, grinned darkly as he nodded his head, turning his focus back to the defenseless Mio.

Death bone grinned, pulling out a sword. He looked at Set with greed as he saw the Titan Blade. Set observing the man grinned under his mask as he slowly descended on his sword. Death bone seeing this quickly raced towards Set and slashed with all his might. Set smiled and flew towards the man. As they were only a meter apart, Set jumped as high as he could. He leaped over Death Bone and went straight to the boss. Before Set reached the boss, he held out his hand, which was soon met by the Titan Sword. Set stabbed towards the boss while executing his sword skills.

The blade went straight to the heart of the boss. The boss seeing this took out a sword and sent it to block the blade. But just as the blades were about to touch each other, Set's sword disappeared. The man was stunned, his senses were consumed by an overwhelming sense of danger. He immediately summoned his battle armor. Golden armor suddenly appeared around his body, protecting him from Set's strike. But Just before the sword and armor made contact, the Titan Blade disappeared. Shortly after appearing a couple of inches above aimed at his throat!

Although the man instinctively tried to dodge, the sword had managed to stab through most of his neck. Leaving him aghast as blood flowed through his mouth.

But Set wasn't finished! He quickly activated his hell flame and GOD'S WILL innate ability, burning and forcefully slicing through the rest of his neck!

Set heard the notifications as he eyed the airborne head drop onto the sand. The three who had come with the boss were in panic mode. Their leader was killed, and he didn't even have the opportunity to fight back! Knowing the strength of their leader the others were terrified. But since they couldn't run away, they drew their weapons and quickly stood on the defensive.

Seeing their boss had died in a single exchange, their morale had been dampened! They were in the middle of nowhere, so even though they wanted to escape or scream for help, their chances of actually escaping or receiving help were close to zero.

Death bone immediately summoned his battle armor. White bony armor appeared around his body, making him look like a skeletal warrior. He and the other two quickly got into formation, making him the main attack force of the formation, and the other two support. Feeling a little confident in their formation, the three attacked. Death bone being the main attacker, swung his sword aiming at Set's vitals. Set tilted his body to the right, successfully dodging the strike. But just as he was about to attack, bone spikes shot out of Death Bone's body.

Set jumped backward as he managed to block two of the spikes with his sword, but he was still injured. Death Bone wasn't ideal. He twisted his body as he jumped at Set with his sword aimed directly at Set's heart! Unfortunately for Set, he hadn't been wearing his recently restored armor and since he was in the middle of his jump he couldn't dodge.

STAB!!!

Set coughed up a mouth full of blood as he staggered back. Death Bone pushed his sword until only the hilt was visible. But he wasn't finished! He spread his arms downward as two bone daggers formed in his hands. He smiled evilly as he swung them from opposite sides towards Set's neck!

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Mio cried as she saw her savior, on the verge of death. But before she could mourn his death, she was given a shock! Before the attack could land, Set cross reached his arms firmly gripping onto the wrists of Death Bone. Then suddenly Death Bone's eyes grew wide, and almost instantly, his hands whilst still gripping on the bone daggers, dropped to the sand below!

"AAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" Death Bone screamed as he stared at his missing hands. Blood gushed out of his severed wrists as he let out continuous screams!

"You're too noisy, just DIE!"

Set suddenly held out his arm grabbing at Death Bone's head. Death Bone wanted to dodge, but he suddenly felt a force pulling him towards the hand! Finally grabbing onto his head, Set's eyes looked cold as a small muffled shockwave was released between Sets palm and Death Bone's head.

Death Bone's eyes opened wide as blood came out of all seven orifices. And at that exact moment a gaping hole was blown open at the back of his head. Followed by brain matter and a red hellish fire.

Mio was shocked beyond measure. She was ready to put an end to her life, but before She could, Set arrived. He killed two members of the party with apparent ease, and he did all that in only two exchanges! Set turned around and killed the remaining two. One of them had a battle weapon, and the other had battle armor. Due to them not having any leadership abilities, they were easily dealt with.

Set slowly turned around to take a look at the girl. Slowly, he walked up to her and knelt. Mio saw the man get so close, and was afraid he might do something to her. But what she thought didn't come to pass. Set purchased a bathrobe from the system and gave it to her. He had a different variety of clothes to select from in the shop but the bathrobe was the cheapest, costing a mere blood point.

"Your clothes seem to be tattered, take this." Set gave her the bathrobe and turned around waiting for her to finish changing. After a while, Set heard the girl say, "Thank you for saving me, may I know your name?", asked Mio with curiously. Set stared at her and kept quiet. When Mio didn't get the answer, she figured Set wanted to hide his identity. She was right, Set didn't tell her to his identity and because he hadn't come up with a cool alias yet. And, of course, he couldn't go fucking people over and spread his real name around.

Set turned around and asked Mio, "I'm returning to the shelter would you like to come with me?"

Mio shyly nodded her head. Set summoned their ride, and Mio was frightened to look at King Raven. She had learned that King Ravens are almost impossible to tame, but this man had his own. What was more shocking was that Set had summoned this King Raven from a small fist-sized sculpture of the same creature.

Set helped her onto the King Raven and pulled out the safety harness. Slowly, he placed it around Mio's waist and tied it around his own. Mio couldn't help but blush being so close to a man. Set turned his head to his side and slowly said, "You may want to hold on..." Mio wrapped her hands around Set's waist gently.

Set ordered King Raven to go turbo, and turbo was what it did. It flapped its wings, and the next second it flew through the air. Mio was terrified by the maximum speed of the King Raven, tightening her grip around Set's waist.

Set was smiling cheekily, enjoying the warmth coming from his back. This was all part of his scheme, after all. All of Set's actions were leading up to this moment. As he basked in the warmth, a horrid roar sounded. He turned in the direction of and roar and squinted his eyes, but all he could see was a sandstorm. It was like a hungry wolf, devouring everything that came close.

After a moment, the roar echoed again, but this time, it was much, much louder and mixed in with a lot of other roars.

Set was starting to get worried, the sand storm was quickly approaching. The King Raven flew as fast as it could, barely managing to avoid the storm. But as Set was about to depart, he caught a glimpse of what was going on in the sandstorm. Even though it was just for a second, and Set saw only one being, it was the most terrifying moment of life.

Set saw only one creature. His body was that of a man wearing a majestic golden armor carrying a golden spear decorated with various cavings, but his head was that of a jackal. His fur was pitch black and had eyes that had crimson pupils, but the rest of the eye was pitch black instead of white. In that short time, the two of them met each other's eyes. Set was absolutely terrified, and at that moment there was nothing in the world other than the red eyes. And unbearable suppression fell on Set, making chest compress. And the feeling of suffocation came over him! But before any harm was done, the Dragon Emperor ring appeared. It let out a chilling glow, and the sensation of suffocation vanished.

Set immediately left the area realizing if he stayed any longer than he needed to, he would die. The Jackal man seeing Set fly away was amused, "That weakling withstood my gaze.... Interesting."

Set was shaken, 'Emperor... That was an Emperor!' Set didn't complain. After all, he was fortunate to be alive right now. Luckily, the remainder of the journey was uneventful, as they arrived at the shelter in less than three days. "Thank you, mister," said Mio, before jumping down from King Raven. Set looked at her and said, "You can call me King." Mio hearing him, smiled and bid him farewell.

Set was quite shocked by the power of that Emperor, but his shock was overgrown by a pure desire to acquire that power.

"It looks like I have to start taking things seriously." Set summoned his damaged armor and flew towards sword mountain. Even though his armor didn't reach Sky-class, it did have World-class defense. Set within a matter of minutes reached the sword mountain.
