Born To Become King

Cole Desmond is a 29-year-old orphan, and having lost his parents in front of him 10 years ago, he had been plagued with guilt and trauma since. Dedicating the rest of his life to video games, he grinds out the game, "World of Venir" - an immersive role-playable world, where the player could decide the ending. After playing for so long, it was only time until he had tried out every single ending with every single character possible. While playing, he pitifully dies a lonely death and gets reincarnated into a world based on his favourite game. Only one problem, he has reincarnated into the one player he has never played before! Tasked with the mission of attaining world domination, how will, now Vincent Dracyian, survive a world full of magic, demons, and Gods? _____ I do not own this cover, if you would like me to take it down, please let me know. The Dracyian Family

Vincent Dracyian was known as the 3rd son of the Dracyian family. A powerful, rich and awakened family at that.

Recalling moments from my memories, I could roughly guess the familial state of my siblings.

I had an older sister and an older brother, 'twins' might I add, and we were once a decently content family.

Caleb and Cynthia had both awoken at age 12, growing up to become monstrous talents and setting role models for my previous body owner.

Even in the game, they played a certain part in fighting off the demon invasion.

It should also be noted that I wasn't able to play as them in my previous life, since they were only meant to be mere side characters helping the 'original protagonists'.

Actual skill issue.

In the game, the Dracyian family was just known as a rich noble family, but now that I was someone who actually belonged there; it just didn't feel right with me yet.

Anyways, before I was 15 I had lived a wholesome, and well-cared-for life, but after a year of no awakening, my family had given up on me and left me to fight for myself.

My siblings no longer felt the need to include me, talk to me, or even see me, and so my older self had lost all affection for them.

This led to my body becoming extremely introverted, rarely going outside, and everyone started to know me as the failure of the Dracyians.

Hang on, this was uncannily similar to what I did for the past 10 years... Meh, must be a coincidence.

Anyways, they were most likely influenced by my parents' apathy towards me, in which case, I don't think an upcoming visit back to the Dracyian house would be welcomed.

[What is the point of going back to a family that abandoned you?]

The system had a point.

Ever since I had possessed the body of Vincent Dracyian, I had inherited all of his memories, from the time he was born, to the time of his 'death'.

I could remember every time he had cried, every time he had laughed, and every time he was happy.

However, with whatever emotion he had experienced, I could only remember the memories regarding the experience and not exactly the feeling.

Think of it as watching an intense, really well-made movie. Where there are no plotholes, more than enough backstory, and developed characters.

You, yourself is able to understand the reason why a character was crying. However, you do not know or understand, what exactly the actor was feeling when they were acting.

In this situation, I was the audience, and the old Vincent was the actor.

One could even think of it like the interpretation of colours. Where someone might be seeing one thing, and naming it 'blue'.

However, the other could be seeing that colour differently, but is just taught to accept it as the colour 'blue'.

You do not know exactly how the other is thinking, but you can expect and interpret what he should have been thinking.

Alright, how did this turn into a psychology lesson?

The point was, I understood why the old Vincent felt no affection for the family. And as I retained his memories, I too didn't like my family.

However, I am willing to try and make a change in my interpretation of them, be it for the better or for the worse.

And, I also expect it would become a bit hard if I entered the Academy with no support from my own backing.

'System, how fricking long do I have to walk to get there? This feels like I have been walking for even longer than the time I had to cross the forest.'

[Firstly, Host's {STAMINA} stat has been sealed to 'G' rank, so your endurance capability is significantly weaker.]

[And second, the Host just had some noodles for the whole day yesterday, so you are likely to collapse soon enough. What an indolent human.]

'There was no need for that last remark there.'

GGGGGRRRRBBB

That was the roar of a ferocious beast who lived within me, depraved from its rightful nutrients.

Yes, that also happened to be my stomach.

Even in my previous life, when I got concentrated on something, I would not stop until I got it, and it was also how I was able to tank my hunger for all of this time.

[I advise you to eat soon.]

'AND HOW THE HELL AM I MEANT TO DO THAT IF YOU ROBBED ME OF MY MONEY THIS MORNING!'

[I advise you to eat soon.]

And it just fucking refused to elaborate.

Currently, I only had 1AX under my name... no, technically, I had 0AX since I was currently using my dimensionally transferred cash.

"Haaaa..."

I could only trudge forwards following the system map, motivating myself by saying that I could eat as much as I wanted there.

As I was walking, I met eyes with a fair young lady, with bright blue eyes, and flowing black hair. She had a noticeably petite face and was handing out some flyers to awakeners.

"Hi! Would you like a leaflet that tells you about our guild?"

Oh, so that is what this was.

The girl was probably trying to attract customers to her guild, recruiting anyone for work.

I started at the girl and the leaflet for some time out of curiosity but regretted that decision as I saw her approaching me with a smile.

"Hello. This is a recruitment flyer for anyone willing to join the 'Ivory Guild' run by my father. If you are an awakened, we will be able to offer you personal equipment for you to train."

The girl handed me one of the flyers with a smile, before running off to see some new potential customers.

However, just before she left, she turned back her head, took something wrapped in tissue inside her pocket, and placed a cookie in the palm of my hand.

"You look extremely tired and hungry, so, you can have this if you want."

She smiled again, and then properly left to hand more flyers.

'Do I really look that bad for her to pity me?'

[You did poison yourself for the whole night. Starve your body since yesterday. And did not get proper rest after you woke up from being unconscious.]

'Hmmm. I see. I can still sleep later...'

Right now, I was starving.

'Heh, food.'

A/N: Guys, I have decided that I will be finally contracting this novel. Thanks for all your support. ~(˘▾˘~)

Please, please, please leave a review. It would help the book to grow a lot.

Thank you all so much for the power stones, and the unexpected growth that this book got from the last chapter.

Right now, if you want to help this book grow, an honest review is much needed, as my book cover page seems extremely blank. ( ˘︹˘ ) [I might need to resort to threats next chapter...]

I did find it hard to publish for the past few days, as I had a severe case of writer's block... that, or I just didn't want to hurt my brain thinking of a way to make sure the lore added up this chapter...
