CHAPTER 3

Elleiana's

Miguel. That's the name of the guy in the middle.

He's familiar, it's like i saw him before, I just can't remember when and where..

Adams. I remember Miguel's last name..It's really familiar...

I stopped thinking when I heard the bell. It's Break Time.

"Let's go, I'm hungry." Hail said. Elodie and I just nodded.

When we arrived, we immediately looked for a seat.

Elodie presented that she'll order food for us, her treat she said. So Hail and I were left alone.

"Hey, are you okay? You've been quiet since the transferees arrived. Is there a problem?" She asked worriedly.

I just looked at her and leaned.

His last name is really familiar to me..

"Do you like one of them?" She asked which surprised me.

I looked at her and she laughed a little.

"You do?!" I was surprised when Elodie suddenly entered our conversation.

"No, okay?! Miguel's last name was just so familiar.." I answered and looked straight at them.

"I don't know why, but it's really familiar.." I said. When I look at them, they were both surprised.

"Let's eat." Hail said and started eating.

After eating, we went straight to the classroom for our next classes.

When our teacher came in, we immediately stood up to greet him.

"Good Morning, Sir!" We greeted him warmly and happily, he just smiled at us and motioned us to sit down.

"Good Morning too. We don't have much to do today because it's your first day, your regular class will start tomorrow so I will dismiss you early today. Don't introduce yourself, I don't need that anymore." He said and laughed a little.

He continued to speak. "By the way, I am your Science Teacher, I don't want anyone late in my class, when you are late, I will not let you in. Is that clear?!" He asked us and we all nodded.

I was still silent until the end of class. Because I keep thinking about why the surname Adams is so familiar to me..

While we are fixing our things, Elodie suddenly spoke.

"Come on, let's go to the mall!" She suddenly said and I frowned at her.

"What?! Let's go!" She said so I just nodded.

When we arrived at the parking lot I talked to them first.

"I'll just call you when I'm on my way, I'll change my clothes first." I said.

"Okay! We'll also change our clothes. Bye. See you!" Elodie said and waved at me. Same as Hail.

When I got home, I caught up with my older brother in the living room, watching TV.

It looks like he didn't notice me, because he didn't even looked at me.

"Hey." I called him. But he just looked at me for a while and faced the TV again.

"Hey!!" I shouted at him. I looked at him while frowning.

"What?!!" He asked me, annoyed.

We were silent for a moment..

"Do you know anyone whose last name is Adams?" He looked at me, frowning again.

But it suddenly disappeared, he look so confused now..

"W-what? D-did I said something wrong?" I asked, starting to panic.

"Why?!" It was obvious on his face that he was nervous.

"Because we have a transferee classmate with the surname Adams, that's so familiar to me..it seems like i know someone with the same surname..." I said, still confused.

I thought for a moment, trying to remember the person I knew before whose last name is Adams..

When I looked at him again, I noticed that he was quiet.

"Why are you suddenly silent? Are you alright?" I asked worriedly.

"A-ah..yes, i'm o-okay." He said and forced a smile.

I just nodded and went upstairs. I'll get ready because we will go to the mall.

I just took a shower and applied a little bit of make-up.

I was just wearing a mini skirt and a loose long-sleeved crop top. I was also wearing the sandals my brother gave me.

When I went downstairs, I caught up with my brother again, he's having a snack. I just said goodbye and left.

When I got in the car, I called Hail first.

"Hey, where are you?" I asked when she answered the call.

"On the way, why?"

"Nothing. See you." I said and ended the call.

I started the car and left. While I was driving, Elodie suddenly called.

"Why?" I said when I answered the call.

"Where are you? Hail and I are here already."

"I'm on my way."

"Oh..okay. Drive safely. See you later!" She said and ended the call.

I just looked for a parking spot and went inside. I called Elodie to know where they are.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"At the coffee shop."

"Okay. I'll go there." I said and ended the call.

When I arrived there, I caught up with them talking.

"Hi!" I greet them when I arrive.

"Hello!" Elodie greeted me.

"Why are you late?" Hail asked.

"Traffic." I said and smiled. She smiled back.

I ordered first.

"Good day, Ma'am! What's your order?" The cashier greeted me and smiled. I smiled at her too.

"One Triple Mocha please." I said while smiling.

"What size ma'am?"

"Venti." I said briefly.

"Okay. Anything else?"

"One original glazed donut." I said.

I just waited for a while for my order and went back to the table.

We are talking while eating. About life and school.

"What course will you take?" Hail suddenly asked.

"Me? Hmm...I have two choices.." I said.

"And what are those?" Elodie asked.

"Either Law or Med.." I said and smiled.

"Oh, wow." I can see the admiration on their faces.

"How about you guys? What course will you take?" I asked and smiled at them.

"I'm not yet sure.." Elodie answered.

"Me too." said Hail as well.

I just nodded and continued eating.

"Come on, let's go shopping!" Hail said with a big smile on her face.

Elodie and I laughed at her.

We just went to the Department Store, because mommy already texted me.

They're already home. So we hurried.

"Thank you for coming with me! See you tomorrow!" Elodie said while smiling.

"No problem." I said, smiling.

Hail smiled. She was obviously happy.

and I drove home, It took me a while because it's so traffic.

When I got home, I ate my dinner first, and rested for a while in the living room.

"How's school?" My mom said while smiling.

"It was fine.." I said and smiled.

"Are you okay? You look so stressed." Dad asked worriedly.

"Of course, I'm okay. I'll take a rest now. I'm tired. Goodnight!" I said to them and smiled.

"Okay. Goodnight! Love you!" Mom said and kissed me on the cheek.

"Goodnight." Dad said and smiled.

When I went up to the room, I quickly fixed my things and took a shower.

I did my skincare after.

I fell asleep quickly, probably because I was too tired.
