1 Chapter 1. New Year Night

A young man in his early 20s was seen running on streets in heavy rain.

" Oh man , why the hell did i forget to bring an umbrella "

" What's going on. It's been raining for the past 7 days now. This never happened before "

" Oh god please let me reach home soon."

"I just hope the rain stops before the new year because i have promised them for a meal outside"

This young man's name is Arthur. He's 21 years old going home from his part-time job. He works 3 part-time jobs and helps his father relieve his financial burden and his younger siblings can attend good school. He has 2 younger siblings one 14 year old brother and a 8 year old sister and both his siblings go to the top school in his city in Helix City. It is a city under SilverBlade Kingdom.

Arthur lives in the Central Continent. one of the 5 continents on his planet. The Central Continent has 3 empires and 8 Kingdom's Suncrest Empire, Sapphire Empire, Obsidian Empire and the 3 Strongest Kingdom that is slightly weaker than the empire are SilverBlade Kingdom , Greenwood Kingdom , Frostwood Kingdom (for more check comments)

It took Arthur 15 minutes to reach home. The moment he enters his house someone hugs his leg from behind.

' big brother, what did you get for me from outside?'

A cute and childish voice asked Michael. While looking at his with expectations and a shining star in her eyes. That was Arthur Sister

' of course, i brought something for you. How can i forget my little princess. Look i brought cake for you.'

' what about me big brother '. Another voice asked him from behind and it was his younger brother also looking at him with expectations.

' of course i also brought cake for you '

' Princess here take the cake and go eat with your brother ' said Arthur

' yes big brother ' said his younger sister in her cute voice.

Arthur Look towards the door and show his mother coming from her room towards kitchen to cook dinner. His mother name is Emily Coover.

' where is dad, mom? ' Arthur asked his mother

' Didn't he get back home before 6 pm. Now it's 6.30 pm. did he tell you that he's going to be late tonight, mom? '

'Yes, he told me he's going to be late because of the new year that will be after 5 days

'Ok mom I'm going to take the shower and have some rest. wake me up at 8.30. '

Arthur goes to his room. Arthur has 3 rooms in his house. 1 for his parents, 1 for his younger siblings, 1 for him that is in the corner.

After taking a shower Arthur goes to sleep and wakes up after 1.30 hours and helps his younger siblings do their homework.

Now it's past 9.30 pm at that time. his Father reaches home after a long day. His father's name is Steve Hasting. His father works at the gate as a guard that's why he was late today because of the new people entering the city because of the new year celebration. In the new year season tourists come from all over the Kingdom to the one of the 3 cities in the SilverBlade Kingdom. Some came for the event that King Julius Silver host who's the king of SilverBlade Kingdom. All the 3 cities and capital city host this event under King Julius'order.

People don't come only to watch the event.

This event is also a sport for poor people. The event is like a marathon where u have to run for 50 km. which people participate to get the reward for getting top 10. The first place will be given 5000 gold , 2nd and 3rd will get 3 thousand and 4 to 10 will get 1000 gold each.

And this event is also entertainment for rich and noble people who just come to enjoy the event and also make more connections in the noble circle.

'So how's your day dad ' asked Arthur to his dad

' Nothing special son, just same old. like Every year a lot of people entering the city. They come from the town's that are near us. You tell me how was your day '

' Nothing much dad. Everything is same in the bakery just some new customer's ' said Arthur

' So where do u wanna go on new year, princess?' Asked Arthur to his younger sister

' umm.... I want go to your Bakery and Brother Eddy restaurant to eat Fried chicken with pasta ' Said his younger sister Millie Hasting.

And his brother name is Michael Hasting

' Ok princess we will go to Brother Eddy's Restaurant '

' Now enough talking and eat your food '

After having dinner Arthur going to his room and sleep because he need to wake up early for his jobs.

Time flies and 5 day's passed.

Arthur wakes up 6 Am for jogging and Working out

Because of his working daily for the past 2 or 3 years Arthur has good physiques and a handsome face and 180 cm tall Pack with his muscles. He looks like a model.

Today he takes leave from his part-time job to spend the day with his family for the new year

After 2 hours of jogging and working out. he takes a shower and goes to the dining room for breakfast.

When he reached the dining room his sibling and his mother were sitting on the dining table having their breakfast. His father already left for his job and will be back at 6 pm and his younger sibling has a holiday today because of the new year.

' Good morning brother ' said his sibling at the same time when they saw his entering the dining room.

' Good morning Millie , Michael and Mom '

' Good morning Son ' replied his mother

After dinner Arthur helps his mother decorating house and making lunch and will be having dinner outside.

' Arthur can you get some vegetable and Meat For Lunch ' said his mother.

' Ok mom ' replied Arthur

And goes to the mini market 10 min away from his house.

On the way he met his friend Eddy who was also buying meat for lunch.

' what's up Eddy. Where are you going. ' asked Arthur

' oh hi Arthur nothing much just on the way home after buying some meat and vegetables. What about you? '

' I'm also going to my something from the market for lunch and my sister wants to have dinner in your Restaurant. Is that okay with you because of New Year your restaurant will be full right '

' You don't worry about that I'm your friend I'll Book a table for your family. '

' Thank's Eddy '

' Then see you Arthur tonight at the restaurant with your family. I'm kinda busy right now. '

' Ok then see your Eddy we'll there at 9 '

By the time Arthur reach home it was already 6 pm and his father was back. They met road and come home together.

Before Arthur realised it was already 8.30 and they left their house at 8.45 because of his sister who was very excited to have dinner outside. His brother was also excited but he didn't show that he was excited.

It took them 20 min to reach the restaurant.

At 9.05 pm they were already at the restaurant gate and saw Arthur friend Eddy waiting for someone at the gate.

When Eddy saw Arthur he waved his hand and shouted.

'Arthur come over here. I was waiting for you '

Arthur saw this and smiled then took his family towards Eddy.

' Hello uncle Steve and aunty Emily. How are you. '

' Hii Eddy , we are good what about you and your parents ' replied Steve and Emily nodded.

' I'm good and my parents are also fine. They are busy right with the guest but they said Hii ' said Eddy.

' It's ok we understand it's new year and your parent are busy with the restaurant. '

' Hello big brother Eddy ' Said Millie.

' Hello brother Eddy ' Said Michael.

' Hii Millie and Michael , how are you two. ' Replied Eddy

' Follow me i will take you to your table ' said Eddy

They followed Eddy and Reach Room number 5

The restaurant has total of 10 room and each cost

1 gold that's higher than Steve Salary.

' Why did you book such a expensive room Eddy. You should have just booked a table ' asked Arthur. He was not angry because he knew Eddy doesn't mean to belittle him by doing this.

' This is just a new year gift from me Arthur. Just pay the same as the table '

' Thank Eddy, ' said Arthur in gratitude

' No problem bro , enjoy ' said eddy then left

After Eddy left a waiter came and took their order and then after 1 hour they left for home.

By the time 10.30 they got home then freshen up

Before 11.30. and then they sat together waiting for fireworks that will welcome the new year

When the clock hit midnight(12am) everyone from the Lyrius Planet heard a sound in their head.
