44 BSWS CH-44 The Chunin Exams XII - Sealing and Healing

Sakura watched as everything went beyond her expectations. Bringing Karin into Leaf had opened up a whole new situation. She had officially at this point diverted the future paths by a wide margin. She was sure that from now a few unexpected events will happen, which made her both excited and worried.

Moreover, she never expected that the sly Hiruzen would find this way to bond the Uzumaki Clan to Leaf completely this time. By including her as the link between this new Uzumaki clan and Leaf village, Hiruzen had effectively tied them to a leash.

Naruto and Karin won't abandon Sakura, while Sakura won't abandon her family, and finally, her family won't ever betray the Leaf. Ultimately, the biggest beneficiary of this was Leaf, which received a Jinchuriki (Naruto), a prospective future Jinchuriki (Karin), and a rising talented shinobi (Sakura).

However, even despite knowing all this, she could not advise Naruto and Karin to go against Hiruzen's plans. Comparing the alternative of Naruto facing more loneliness and Karin facing a lifetime of threats, pain, and disappointment, Hiruzen's way at least gave them a boost on their path to power.

'Well played, old man..' Sakura thought silently 'well played indeed.'

After that, Hiruzen asked Sakura and the other two about their fight with Orochimaru. Sakura described the fight by downplaying her role and methods.

She didn't even mention that she knew Orochimaru's identity. As for the final seal that had trapped Orochimaru, Sakura downplayed its power by explaining it as an unstable one that had strong sealing power but didn't last as long as a result.

Her explanations, combined with the fact that they had escaped at the first chance possible, didn't lead Hiruzen to suspect any of the hidden plans of Sakura. He just assumed it was all a combination of coincidence and her battle instincts.

He even made a mental note to introduce Sakura to both Jiraiya and Tsunade, so that she can learn high-level Fuinjutsu and Healing arts. With her level of chakra control, Hiruzen was extremely confident of gaining another Tsunade in a short while if guided properly. And she had shown some talent in Fuinjutsu, as evidenced by her activities so far.

Hiruzen told Sakura to go and accompany Sasuke while he instructed Naruto and Karin in the ways of the clan. Sakura acquiesced as she didn't have any excuse for staying there. While Hiruzen had made her part of the Uzumaki, he had also clarified that she would not be directly involved in clan decisions.

'I can only trust in Naruto and Karin. Naruto is more mature and sensible than he looks and Karin has a good head on her shoulders. Together they should be able to make do.' Sakura thought as she entered Sasuke's room.

Seeing Sasuke still unconscious, Sakura gave a sigh and took a seat.

'I might as well use this time to do something productive.' Sakura thought 'UTS, transmit the new techniques recorded.'

'UTS managed to copy Summoning Technique too? Oh, it's in a non-contracted state. I won't be suddenly becoming a Snake Summoner then.'

'However, if I use this in such Non-Contracted state, I might get reverse summoned to one of the Summoned Animal Realm, whichever I have the highest compatibility with.'

'Both Pros and Cons …. I guess I will try out Summoning at some other time.' Sakura thought 'I will just learn everything for now and try them out later.'

Sakura's mind felt as if it had expanded with the inclusion of these five new techniques. With knowledge of Summoning and Five Element Sealing/Unsealing, Sakura's knowledge of Fuinjutsu took another step forward.

Summoning was one of the most advanced Fuinjutsu techniques which could be used in a wide variety of ways. With personal tweaks to the technique, one could summon both living beings and nonliving objects through it.

Kakashi, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, Minato, and Orochimaru were famous for their Animal summons, While Ibiki Morino had created a name for himself with his Iron Maiden and Torture Room summons.

Meanwhile, the Five Element Sealing/Unsealing technique gave Sakura her first glimpse into the Most Valued Category of Fuinjutsu Techniques: Tailed Beast Sealing/Unsealing. This was the first Fuinjutsu she learned that could interfere with Seals that contained Tailed Beasts within the Jinchuriki.

If she remembered correctly, the Five Element Sealing/Unsealing Technique was Strong enough to interfere with most forms of Tailed Beast sealing methods that existed currently.

This was demonstrated when Orochimaru had used this method to undo the Iron Armor seal of Blue B, previous Jinchuriki of Eight-Tails Gyuki.

'That reminds me of a possibility. I could probably devise a new Sealing method with a combination of the concepts of the Five Element Sealing method and Beast Sealing Chains to create a really powerful sealing technique.'

'If I could get my hands on some of the Uzumaki Techniques Kushina has no doubt left for Naruto, I would be able to combine that with these two and my new sealing technique would no longer simply be a possibility.'

'However, I am damn sure that it would need a lot of Chakra to power such a Terrifying Sealing Technique. Chakra, Chakra, and even more Chakra ….. No wonder Uzumaki Clan contained the great seal masters ever.'

'This is no longer the matter of simply having proficiency in Fuinjutsu. While I am pretty sure I can match at least a Jonin level Uzumaki in the prowess of Pure Fuinjutsu knowledge, a Fuinjutsu Master also needs to have sufficient chakra to power up the seals.'

'Without sufficient chakra, Seals are nothing more than a collection of well-written runic characters.' Sakura thought while sighing in exasperation.

Trying to distract herself, her mind went to the other three new techniques in her arsenal. Chakra Scalpel, Medical Analysis, and Mystical Palm.

Medical Analysis was just a specialized version of her own Chakra Sensing Methods. It sacrificed versatility and range in exchange for precision and detail. It was practically a more infallible and advanced version of an X-Ray, except it should any and all information about the body's condition.

Mystical Palm was the most widespread Healing Jutsu in Leaf. While its concept was simple to understand, the actual practice of it was terrifying.

Even with her terrifying chakra control and the knowledge that had perfectly inscribed into her mind by UTS, Sakura still marveled at the delicateness of this technique. A slight shift of intent and chakra control could transform this life-saving Jutsu into a life-stealing Jutsu.

Mystical Palm involved the careful and delicate infusion of Yang Chakra into the areas of the body that had been harmed. This infusion of Yang Chakra penetrated the cells and increased their vitality externally to help them recover. The more chakra control one had, the better they could employ this Jutsu.

A poor user of this Jutsu would either end up killing themselves or the target or both, while also wasting most of their chakra. However, a proficient user could probably even rejuvenate long-dead cells, which was what Orochimaru had wanted Tsunade to do to his arms in the Canon.

Finally, there was Chakra Scalpel, an incredibly versatile Jutsu that made Sakura often question why didn't most of the Taijutsu fighters employ it.

She could understand that it needed precise control but that was only if you wanted it as a tool during operations. For Assassination and even frontal attacks, Chakra Scalpel didn't require that much precision. Anyone with a decent level of Chakra Control could use it in fights, even if they would end up wasting a bunch of chakras.

All Jutsu that came under the category of Healing Techniques had chakra control requirements that were almost comparable to the Rasengan, only with more precision. While Rasengan was a TNT bomb, Healing Techniques were more like guided missiles.
