3 BSWS CH-3 Butterfly flaps its wings

Just as the bell was about to ring for the Genin assessment to begin, Sakura saw Iruka dragging the blond goggle wearing trouble maker into the class by his ear.

"No more excuses Naruto. Just get in and prepare for the assessment." Iruka said angrily.

"I wasn't making an excuse ya know," Naruto grumbled while rubbing his red ear "Someone really did break into my house and threw away my food. And I was not able to buy anything from the stores either because they wouldn't sell me any food."

"I will listen to the excuses later Naruto, it time for assessment now." Iruka said angrily as his assistant proctor for Genin exam, Mizuki, had arrived.

Sakura gave a hard look at Mizuki, wondering whether to interfere in the events that will follow with him and Naruto.

'I will just keep an eye I guess.' Sakura thought 'After all, I don't know if my reincarnation had any butterfly effects. Better to keep an eye and make sure if I still have advantage of knowing the future.'

Iruka made them all take their seats and gave them their written tests. Sakura barely had to give a glance at them and she knew all the answers. She thanked her predecessor for this, the original Sakura somehow managed to learn enough content to impress the proctors who would test a Jonin.

She swiftly finished her test and waited for the others to finish up. She noticed discreetly that Shikamaru and Hinata finished not long after her. Shikamaru went to sleep directly, while Hinata kept on glancing at Naruto, who seemed to be struggling hard with the test.

After the time limit was over, Iruka took everyone's papers. Sakura noticed right away that Choji, Kiba and Naruto had the most down cast expressions. She could understand Naruto not doing well on his test, but Kiba and Choji not doing well either was pretty much a disgrace in her eyes. They had no excuse for this result.

"Alright everyone, as you know, Theory is only responsible for 40% of the result. If you manage to do well in the Practical then it is a very good chance you might pass, since it is encompasses 60% of the result." Iruka glanced at Naruto, Kiba and Choji as he said that.

Kiba and Choji had a more lively expression after that, but Naruto was even more nervous than before. Sakura looked at him with pity. The future powerhouse that will be throwing Jutsus above S Rank like candies in future, was currently stumped by such unfair testing means.

How could they expect a child like Naruto, with no chakra control training, to manage to control a precise amount of his enormous chakra for the weak academy level Jutsus? Honestly, there was a reason Naruto was so good at Shadow Clone.

Shadow clone's basic principle was dividing chakra into equal parts. That is many times easier than controlling a precise tiny amount of it for Academy's basic clone jutsu. Asking Naruto to do basic clone was equivalent in unfairness to asking Lee to do Ninjutsus. Yet no one points that out and are happy to crush the poor guy beneath their feet.

Schooling her thoughts, Sakura focused on Iruka's instructions. As expected, Iruka set the practical exam to be one of the academy jutsu, Basic Clone Jutsu. Sakura noticed Naruto becoming paler than milk and sighed quietly.

Everyone made clones on their turn one by one. When Sakura's turn came and she created her self-created jutsu, Illusion clone, Iruka was extremely impressed and Mizuki looked are her in shock and wariness. And his wariness was very logical, She had managed to put two full-fledged Chunin in a Genjutsu based technique for quite some time.

In a battle, a single second can turn the flow of the battle. Genjutsu techniques can easily give that precisely required second and turn a losing battle into a winning one. Iruka happily congratulated Sakura and asked her to choose a ninja band amongst Headband, Armband, Neckband and Belt. Sakura decided to pick a Belt. She swiftly tied it over her Hakama.

Sakura waited and saw Naruto and Sasuke's performance too. Sasuke with his arrogance as always managed to clear the clone exam easily. Naruto on the other hand only managed to make a pathetic clone and failed.

At the end of the day when parents came to congratulate their children on becoming Genin, Sakura showed her belt to her mom and dad with a smile. Her mom looked at her proudly, she was the one who had seen clearly how hard Sakura had worked recently.

Sakura saw Mizuki approaching Naruto and leaving with him. 'So it begins,' she thought in her mind.

That night among the darkness that covered the village in its shroud, dozens of Chunin and Jonin rushed around searching for someone. Sakura watched all this from her room balcony and changed into her ANBU like outfit, except hers was in pale white color. She also had a Kakashi style mask she made herself.

She didn't take much equipment with herself to keep her speed quick. All she had was a dull iron blade, which she had bought in the name of training, some ninja wires and senbons.

She also used her special transformation jutsu to give herself the face of a random person she saw on market today while returning home. Done with her preparations, she jumped from the balcony and ran towards Dark Forest. From her memories, she knew Naruto would probably still be learning the jutsu there.

When she reached the forest, she tried a certain technique that she knew only certain ninjas with incredible chakra control could do. Fixing her hands into a hand sign to concentrate her chakra, she minced a portion of her chakra into incredibly fine chakra particles. These chakra particles then were sent like a wave outwards from her body.

Sweat poured down from her forehead as she concentrated hard and controlled those particles to search all around. She was counting on Naruto's humungous chakra and his emotional upheaval to succeed.

As she expected, her chakra particles soon came in contact with the flaring chakra signature of Naruto. He was pretty much an open flame on a light-less flat plain. She drew back her chakra and rushed in that direction while using Chameleon Hiding Genjutsu.

As she reached there, she saw Naruto crouching behind a group of trees, while at some distance away from him injured Iruka and angry Mizuki were facing off.

"So the face-off has begun? Hmm, how about I test my current progress again Mizuki?" Sakura wondered.
