Grade 1 is one of the highest rankings achievable by Jujutsu Sorcerers. Those at this level are very powerful and capable of undertaking dangerous missions. Alongside the perilous missions, they also receive much larger rewards.

Special Grade 1 is a ranking referring to Jujutsu Sorcerers outside the school system (active Jujutsu Sorcerers without a ranking) whose strength is considered on par with Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Finally, Special Grade is a ranking intended for anomalies in the Jujutsu community. It is reserved for Jujutsu Sorcerers with such immense power that their destructive potential cannot be measured, making them highly exclusive and unique, hence called 'special.'
