Chapter 23: Ghosts of the Vault

Raime: "Laura?"

In response to my words, she reacted with a slight twitch.

I had felt myself be forcibly teleported from where I was standing to a different location.

I looked at where I previously was and as I suspected.

Laura had her hand outstretched to the place my heart would have been.

She must have lost her senses when she was being pounded into the ground by Skagzilla.

She is still a kid so she would naturally get angry and throw a fit if something pushes her to that point.

I am not capable of reacting fast enough to Laura if she was a fraction of the Horsemen's power, which she currently is in this "Nephilim state" of hers where she has lost all sense of reason.

I was only able to evade her previous two attacks thanks to my preparation beforehand.

I had developed a ability that would act like a spatial awareness barrier, once something crossed this barrier while it was active, then I would be forcibly teleported by my own power to another random location.

The mindless Laura reached my new position in an instant and yet again, I teleported away safely.

This kept repeating in less than a few seconds dozens of times.

If it wasn't for this power I created, I would be dead a dozen times over, Nephilim from the Darksiders Universe is no joke, only the Nephilim from the Diablo Universe or Devil May Cry Sparda's descendants can be superior.

If I got Sparda Bloodline from the System then that's all I'll ever need.

(A/n Lore of Devil May Cry is broken. Nightmare is a demon that can destroy the Universe, Mundus defeated Nightmare, Sparda defeated Mundus, Dante defeated Mundus, Dante and Vergil are said to surpass Sparda completely in power with their Sin Devil Trigger. Just so you know. Btw, Dante can beat Kratos. Its fact and proven.)

I wasn't all too worried by a Nephilim Laura trying to kill me, since I knew it would happen, just not so soon.

When Laura tried attacking me again, this time I had teleported beside her rather than away.

I immediately stab a knife into her neck and she collapses to the ground wgile twitching uncontrollably.

After about a few dozen seconds, she stopped twitching and her eyes fluttered open as she sat up straight as if a jolt of lighting coursed through her body.

Laura: "What happened?!"

Raime: "You should worry less about what happened and more about the knife in your neck."

Her hands instinctively touched the side of her neck and she screamed in horror before she calmed down, having remembered that I told her she is practically Immortal.

She pulled the knife out of her neck and tossed it to the ground away from her.

The wound on her neck began healing at speeds that would make Deadpool look like a low-tier scrub in comparison.

The knife I stabbed her with had begun to vanish from sight as the blade cracked and shattered into hundreds of thousands of shimmering particles.

The knife was something I had requested Death to acquire for me as part of our deal.

It was specifically enchanted to be able to pacify or undo any negative induced effects, this also means things like "fear" will be removed from the person who is stabbed by the blade. This knife was enchanted by the Crowfather as per my request, in the timeline Death had killed the Crowfather, but his dead soul lingers in the Lord of Bones' Kingdom of the Dead.

Laura: "What the heck is that thing? .... !!! Wait for a second! You Asshole! That thing tried to eat me! And you let it try!"

Raime: "But you killed it, Congratulations! You just killed your first Doggo!"

Laura: "Shut Up!"

Laura huffed and crossed her arms in anger.

I teased her as a way to relieve her mentally, seems like it was for nought since she doesn't remember trying to kill me. That's for the best I suppose. She'll just cry about it.

I approached Skagzilla's corpse and saw the neck had snapped from colliding with the cliff.

I stored ut inside my Inventory and took Laura with me to the "Ghosts of the Vault" location.

We descended the mine shaft and entered the chamber where three Vault Guardians resided.

Ahhh, the nostalgia.

I remember I got the Elephant gun (rifle) from here. It was a great gun for me all the way until the Rakk Hive boss fight.

The Guardians didn't react at first when they saw me, but when they saw Laura their bodies began glowing slightly and they were on the verge of attacking her.

But I stopped them with what I did next.

Raime: "GOL! (Earth!)"

I used the [Bend Will] Thu'um, along with my Siren Heritage, to command the Vault Guardians to obey me.

They instantly stopped in place and looked as lifeless as they did when I saw them.

The second word of [Bend Will] is HAH" (Mind).

The third word of [Bend Will] is "DOV" (Dragon).

To use the Thu'um, you must first understand the definition of the Word of Power and what they are defined as individually.

For me, "GOL" which is "Earth" in the [Bend Will] shout means to command the will of animals, creatures and Mother Nature herself and the very Earth obeys your command. A Vault Guardian doesn't even have a "will" to begin with since they are just biological golems/constructs created by the Eridians, hence "GOL" was enough to dominate them, although special unique Vault Guardians like The Watcher, The Seer/Weaver and The Sentinel are the exception to this I assume.

For me, the definition of "HAH" which is "Mind" means to dominate the minds of those that are lesser than your own and of those around you. To make them submit to your will, to obey your commands, they are your puppet for you have taken their Mind from them. Their Mind is yours to control, all you need do is to command them to do so, via using [Bend Will].

The final Word of Power of [Bend Will] is "DOV" which is "Dragon". To command all beings, for Dragons stand at the apex of all life, they are Immortal, they are not to be dominated, but they were created by Akatosh to dominate others. It is in their nature. And for one to be able to command them, via [Bend Will], means that you can dominate ANYTHING to your will.

When one has their own deeper understanding of a Word of Power, they will be able to use the Thu'um with enough practice and meditation on those Words of Power.

1st word dominates weak animals or non "will" beings.

2nd word dominates strong animals and average Humans.

3rd word dominates Dragons (Except Alduin) and Powerful Human Minds and even Daedra.

Once I was certain the Guardians were obeying me completely, I took full advantage of this and ordered them to transfer all their knowledge to me by whatever means they decided.

In the end, the only option they knew how to achieve my orders was to use their staffs, they presented it to me and I used the System to determine what it contained.

Turns out they imparted their knowledge to the staff via a form of Bio Telepathy with their own equipment, after all, it is a part of them since they can channel their powers through it.

I told them to transfer it into a singular staff, but what shocked me was I was able to understand them!

They didn't speak with words, but through conveyed thoughts thanks to my Siren Telepathy, I had connected with them.

Wouldn't this mean Angel can control a planet's worth of Vault Guardians if she did what I did?

PhaseShift is broken...

They "said" that they couldn't impart their individual knowledge into another's staff, so i had to take all three. I'll figure out how to extract the knowledge later form the staffs.

Maybe the system, Angel or Tannis can help with that.

Once I was done here, I decided to loot the place for anything I could acquire before teleporting away from the ruins, but not before I blew up the entrance.

I will return here in the future.

The Guardians were transferred inside of my Inventory space, I plan to build a massive army of them.

But as long as The Seer remains alive, he can take control of any Vault Guardian I have, even if I am a Siren.

I teleported with Laura to the Fast Travel Station at Lucky's outpost.

I had received the Fast Travel codes for New Haven from the others only recently.

Seems like they made it?

Laura and I teleported to New Haven.

We decided to go meet up with the others but guess what?

???: "Don't you move from where you are or I'll open fire!

This B.i.t.c.h. There is a reason why her face is so deformed from that Skag Pearl Ring her husband gave her!

It's cause he couldn't stand her shitty character and gave it to troll her.

The woman with a face, that looks like Two-Face from DC comics, was non-other than Helena Pierce.

Interesting thing is what I said at the end about her husband giving the Skag Pearl Ring is true. I don't have time now, but in Author's note at the end tomorrow ill explain ut to thise interested in knowing.
