2 Warm-Up

It was english class the next day when I realized school isn't that hard. I always had okay grades, nothing ever below a B. But when it came to an energetic teacher like Present Mic, you were never going to focus. I was laughing uncontrollably on the inside.

After english, lunch was provided by Lunch Rush. He gave me good tips about the food, commenting about how comforting white rice is and I had to admit he was right. But the real excitement began after that.

Hero basic training.

I was sitting down, looking out the window at the clear sky and the birds. The birds reminded me of Hawks. That man . . . he's gonna drive me crazy, oh I can't wait to get him off my tail.

"I HAVE . . . !" A voice shouted.

"He's here!" The cute green haired boy whispered to himself, staring at the doorway. I looked at him curiously.

"COME THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE NORMAL!" All Might had poked through the doorway. He was wearing his hero costume and a huge smile.

Whispers and shatter went around after he entered. He presented himself in a silly pose.

"Hero basic training! The class that'll put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into heroes! No time to dally. Today's activity is this! Battle training!"

The students cheered. Some looked nervous while some looked ecstatic.

"And for that . . . you need these!!"

All Might clicked a button on a remote and these shelves poked out of the classroom wall.

"In accordance to the "quirk registry" and the special request form your filled out before being admitted . . ."

"COSTUMES!" The class cheered.

I was internally excited, but I didn't think too much about my costume, so I kinda replicated the one I drew a few years ago.

"After you change, come out in ranking order to ground beta!" All Might announced.

"OKAY!" The class shouted.

"Alright." I said quietly. I don't think anyone would have heard me over their own cheers.

~Time Skip~

I came out first according to the test scores, I was ranked first in the class.

My hero costume was fitted according to my taste. Since my quirk didn't need any support advantages or gear, it was entirely based on keeping the suit from being ripped up in battle.

It was a black fitted torso and white sleeves. It had a black patterns on the sleeve but it was mostly white. The pants were black until you thiy the calves, that's where it started turning white. The mask was mostly black but the edges where a fade of white. And the cape was black.

I came out first and waited for the others with All might.

"Hello there! Who might you be?" He asked peering at me with a grin.

"(L/N)." I said looking away.

"Young (L/N), your hero costume looks wonderful!" He said.

"Thank you All Might." I said bowing my head slightly.

"LOOKING GOOD IS VERY IMPORTANT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! LOOK ALIVE BECAUSE FROM TODAY ON . . ."

I turned to see the others arrive and barely managed to stop my jaw from dropping.

"YOUR ALL HEROES!!!" All Might cheered.

Bakugou, the loud ash blonde, was wearing an arm revealing outfit that showed off his arm muscles. He had huge grenade gauntlets that I hope weren't actual grenades. The brown haired girl was wearing a tight outfit. It was pink and black with stripes of white and a helmet.

I would be lying if I said they looked lame. Some had a few interesting but unique designs. And a few were pretty cute too. A girl with a green and black suit with goggles looked freakin' adorable.

My classmates had conversations with each other. Complimenting or discussing their outfits.

Someone asked in a very mature manner a question and received a big "NOPE!" from All Might.

"You'll be moving onto step two! INDOOR ANTI-PERSONNEL BATTLE TRAINING!"

I zoned out on the rest of his instructions and thought over the topic.

"So we'll be fighting indoors. It's a test. A test to see how we manage due to our surroundings and how we think our way through it. Damage control, citizen evacuation, and actual fighting are all obstacles when it comes to indoor battle." I thought out loud.

I looked thoughtfully up at the sky.

"But that's not a problem when you get them out right? If you push a villain out of the building, doesn't that count as a victory?"

I looked around but nobody was paying attention to me. I sighed.

"Your battle partners will be decided by drawing lots!" All Might announced.

So we don't get to choose our partners.

A small exchange went on between students and everyone drew lots. Our class had 21 students so there was going to be a team of three. I was paired up with a blonde boy with a tail and a invisible girl.

I stood off with the rest of the class while the four went in to the battle grounds and prepared for their battle.

I zoned out and sat back in the very far back of the class. Ignoring everyone and everything except for the battle.

In the very beginning, Bakugou set off a huge explosion at the hero team. I narrowed my eyes at his form and his movements. He was slightly predictable with a few off balances. He had great control in the air but was clearly in it for something other than success in this class.

He grazed the student who had a design similar to All Mights hair and it was revealed as the cute green haired boy.

The next punch Bakugou sent at him was evaded and grabbed by the green haired boy. He threw him over himself and he landed hard on his back.

The battle went on for a moment longer before the green haired boy was forced to retreat. Bakugou was storming through the halls, looking for him.

At the level with the brown haired girl and blue haired boy, the girl was scoping out the boy while he guarded the weapon. He must of said something funny because the girl covered her mouth and started laughing which alerted the boy of her position.

I sighed and slapped my hand over my head at her stupidity. How do you laugh at something a villain says while guarding a weapon that could kill?

The girl must have informed the green haired boy that she was caught because he immediately started looking around for a way to get to her. He was about to make his way there, but Bakugou turned a corner.

They spoke a few words and Bakugou lifted his right arm, aiming the gauntlet at the boy. He said something and All Might panicked.

"Bakugou. Stop it now, kid." He said into a microphone.

Bakugou was clearing ignoring him and prepared to fire.

"You trying to kill him?!" All Might shouted into the microphone.

Bakugou shouted something and set it off. It was a huge explosion that rattled the entire building and where we were.

The battle went on again and Bakugou was taking the green boy down hard in battle. They both seperated and they both charged each other. Powered up and ready to take the other down.

"Shouldn't you stop them Sensei?! Sensei?!" A student yelled.

"BOTH OF YOU! STOP TH-" He stopped when the green haired boy yelled something. He threw a punch at the roof that went through all floors. The brown haired girl had taken advantage of that and made a pillar weightless. She picked it up and used it to bat a bunch of rocks at the blue haired boy.

She took his distraction as an opportunity. She attached herself to the weapon, securing it.

Everyone froze when All Might announced that the hero team won. Everyone returned to the class and they went over their scores.

I ignored the rest and returned to my thoughts of how I would do if I were on the defensive.

"I could always hide it in the walls." I whispered quietly to myself. "And then possibly kick the heroes out of the building?"

A new location was set for the next battle which was us.

I was sitting on a box, that was used as a object for the test, when the clocked started. That's when I heard the crackling. I looked at the door in time to see the ice spread ad shoot into the room. Across the floor and the boxes. I quickly used my quirk and floated above the ice.

The other two were frozen. Stuck in place a boy walked in. His costume had his left side covered in ice. He looked kinda like a villain.

He saw me floating above the ice that should have captured me too. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Well, that's a surprise." He fired off a trail of ice at me. "It's over."

I smirked at his attempt. I held out my hand and his ice stopped. I flicked my wrist up and the ice turned around and went right back at him. He quickly rose a wall of ice on his ice to block it.

"What?!" He exclaimed.

I flew over to my teammates and rested a hand on the ice surrounding their feet. Smoke started to rise from it and the ice melted. They both freed their feet and looked at me with smiles.

"Nice!" The girl cheered.

I looked back at the boy who had tight lips.

"That was impressive. Your quirk is a mystery." He fired off more ice and I canceled it out. I blew the earth under him and shoved him out of the room.

"You two get the weapon somewhere else! They know where it is so keep it out of their sights. He froze the whole building so I'm guessing his partner is outside. He won;t be an issues until he comes inside. I'll keep him busy until then!" They nodded and I blasted the boy through the halls. Away from them.

The boy caught himself and fired a ton of ice at me. I sighed and raised a hand. i whipped it at the ice, blasting it away from me.

"Your ice is pointless." I said moving to him, pulling out the capture tape.

"Your quite confident considering the fact that your going up against a recommended student." He said firing ice that caught me off guard. It blasted me back into a wall and trapped me there for a second.

I freed one of my hands and melted the ice. The earth under him exploded and he jumped back. I used the melted ice that was now water and rose it onto the air.

"I was recommended too." I said.

His lips tightened even more at that. He fired off more ice which I battled against. I cancelled it out and took him in my own ice. Which started to melt.

I looked at him, confused. But he was melting the ice. Does he have a quirk similar to mine?

I moved quickly and flew over to him and wrapped the tape around him. He lost. I was about to tie him tight when I heard something behind me.

"TODOROKI!" A voice shouted.
