48 Chapter 47 - The Way To Turn Berserk

They soon washed the soap off and dipped into the bath. Izuku hugged Inko's soft body from the back and snuggled his head on her shoulder.

"You're clingier than ever," Inko chuckled, feeling ticklish when his hair brushed against her skin. She didn't shy away and let Izuku do his thing as she enjoyed the warm waters while laying on her son's broad shoulders.

"Mnn…school's more tiring than I thought,"

"Don't worry honey, soon you'll have friends that make school more fun," Inko said.

"Mnn, thanks Mom," Izuku said, not wanting to reveal that his classmates were the ones tiring him the most. Izuku wouldn't mind if all he did in U.A. was use its facilities until he graduated but that's besides the point. He needed to work with what he had, and her words had sparked a match within his mind.

Getting more than a dozen people to his side is a long and tedious process Izuku was willing to do, but making them his friends? He'd never thought of doing that before.

Izuku shook off his thoughts and enjoyed the warm waters as well. He didn't even know how or why he should start thinking of his classmates as his friends. There was no reason to when keeping them as someone he can use provides more benefits.

'Maybe I'll visit Mitsuki later,' Izuku thought, wanting to clear his head even more.

~~~~~
The day after.
Izuku arrived at class 1-A and was greeted by a rowdy atmosphere. He arrived five minutes before the bell and most of his classmates were already present, including Bakugou who was clashing words with Ida.
Somehow Bakugou found a much tougher match than Izuku in U.A., in the form of an uptight and rigid elite student, Tenya Ida. Izuku head he came from a family with a prestigious line of superheroes and thought maybe the pressure of it made him this way.
It's not a terrible habit, but it was a pain to be around.
Izuku remembered giving Ida one of Mineta's quirk balls (like a slime but purple) back in the entrance exam and wondered whether he kept it still. Back then he didn't expect Toga to just off the dwarf. Had he known, he wouldn't have thrown one out to Ida. It would be better if he did not, as it'd end the whole thing with Mineta.
Izuku took his seat which was on the near edge of the room. Behind him was Shoji who sat on the very edge, to his right was Tsuyu, and in front of him was Momo. Top right sits Mina and bottom right is Kirishima, who was approaching him.
(A/N: How do ppl write seating arrangement without it being awkward…hmm)
"Izuku! I heard from Ochaco that you saved her and then blew up your entrance exam site!" Kirishima said as he reenacted Ochaco's recollection by balling up his palm and exploding it.
Izuku hadn't even had the time to put his bag down but everyone's attention was already on him. He sighed, knowing that the morning wouldn't be calm, and asked Kirishima, "How did you even reach that topic,"
"We were just wondering why you and Ochaco-chan were so close," Mina said from next to him. Her mouth and eyes formed a crescent as she posed as a detective with a magnifying glass over her eyes, looking back and forth between Izuku and Ochaco.
Izuku looked at Ochaco who had a panicked expression and shook his head, thinking she was too green, and decided to help her. "We just met earlier, and you're too rude to Ochaco you know, Mina-san,"
"Boo, you're no fun," Mina pouted but still kept interest in her face, "But really, how did your quirk go berserk like that?"
Izuku wondered whether it was alright to say the reason and thought there was no harm in doing so. It isn't like anyone here was thinking of using it maliciously or could even benefit it for that matter.
If anything, he would be the one benefiting since after that incident, he realized his pool of energy had increased. It's as if the container of his energy he had was forcefully expanded. Sure it overflowed in the form of the forced Chibaku Tensei but after that, what remained was a bigger energy pool.
"It's energy or stamina, or whatever you call it," Izuku said.
"Energy?" Mina tilted her head, still unsure.
"Every time I use my quirk, I expand some of my stamina. If I have too much, it goes berserk I guess," Izuku said, a bit unsure himself. It was, after all, his first experience. There were still many unknowns.
"So if you drink caffeine or energy drinks, you can go berserk?" Momo asked.
Izuku thought for a while and realized he had never tried or drank anything like that in his life. Coffee is the closest thing he'd try but even then it was on the lower quantity of consumption.
"Maybe?" Izuku said, "I've never tried it before,"
Momo rolled up her right sleeve and an energy drink appeared out of nowhere. She then rolled it back down as if nothing had happened and nudged the drink to Izuku. "Want to try? I'm curious too now."
Izuku grabbed the bottle and shook his head in a fit of jealousy. In fact, almost everyone did so. However, they now turn to Izuku, who held the bottle, and anticipate what is going to happen next.
Izuku saw everyone's glowing eyes and couldn't help but grimace at how naive these kids were. "Hey hey…what if I really go berserk? It may end up hurting someone and get Momo in trouble," Izuku said.
"Why me alone?" Momo asked, surprised.
"The only one who can bring this into U.A. is you, and I'd just put the blame on you forcing me if I was in trouble," Izuku said, and shrugged, as if finding a black sheep was his second nature.
Izuku heard a laugh slip through from behind him and ignored it before drinking the energy drink.
Even if he had never tasted it before, there is no way he is weak enough to succumb to one dose of what basically is just sugar and caffeine, He would genuinely be depressed if he actually did.
Momo was about to take back the drink, afraid it would actually do something to Izuku only for him to evade her every attack until he finished the whole bottle. He crushed it with his quirk and felt very energized.
He played around with the crushed can, sending it up and down with increasingly faster speed before stopping after a while and turned his attention back to the whole class.
"Yeah, it felt similar, but a lot weaker. I'd guess that 5 of them would cause me to start losing control,"
Everyone seemed to be content with that and slowly trailed off from the topic, though, Izuku noticed Momo who sighed in relief after seeing that He was alright.
"What? Did you think I would actually put the blame on you if I went berserk?" Izuku went over and asked with a laugh.
"Huff…It would ultimately be my fault since I got too curious and wanted to know more about your situation," Momo said and made an apologetic gesture.
"Don't worry, I'm also curious. Thanks to you, now we know right?" Izuku shrugged it off, "I'm not that petty to blame it on a friend," He said, calming her down.
Izuku thought it would be too much of a waste to turn Momo in for something this small. Someone like her who could create anything off of nothing is worth much more than that and he isn't keen on using her this early in their relationship.
Before Momo could answer, the door opened, revealing a gigantic man with yellow rabbit ears walking in as normal, much to the surprise of the class, including Izuku.
"IT'S ME!" All-might shouted, "Through the door like a normal person!"
As everyone took their seats and All-Might began explaining about the trial of battle they were about to do, Izuku poked Momo's shoulders from behind. She turned over and heard Izuku's whisper near her ear.
"Want to test my limits? We can ask Aizawa-sensei to help be our failsafe,"
Momo felt something new and unfamiliar from Izuku whispering so close to her, but after hearing his words, she tossed it aside and nodded, agreeing to meet Aizawa-sensai today after school. She didn't know why, but she was excited and couldn't wait for it to come.
(A/N: Give me STONESSSSSSSS!!! Also, thoughts on Momo? She's in like most bnha ff but for a damn good reason.)
