CHAPTER 3

The moment everyone in the room slept, Gohru's eyes shot wide open.

'Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes YES YES'

He mentally chanted as he sneaked out of the room through the sole window that led to the back of the orphanage. After silently sliding it back closed to not make anyone in the room cold from the nightly weather, he started trekking up the mountain with his backpack filled with plastic bottles and granola bars.

Objects in the capsule will never expire for some reason, maybe it was due to the orb's doing, but after testing it out with an apple he got from the orphanage, the capsule now served as his persona; pocket dimension.

'Wait a minute… I feel like I'm missing something…'

He thought, trying to recall what he was forgetting before shrugging.

'Meh, shouldn't be more important than this.'

The orphanage that he was in was located near a mountain, so to keep everything a secret, he trekked up the mountain to a cave. Specifically, a cave that the boy found when exploring once he could walk perfectly with his legs and was allowed to move around without watching eyes.

Once he stepped foot in the cave, he immediately went into his pocket to bring out the capsule. Pressing the button to activate it, he tossed the capsule far away from him to the end of the cave since the training room was huge.

POOF!

In the blink of an eye, the large dome-shaped training room formed from smoke emitted by the capsule. The technology really was cool, since it used smoke or fumes that contained the molecules of the training room that grouped back together when needed.

'I am so glad I bought this. It's like getting a new house since it has so much room!'

He thought as he turned on the power supply, revealing a lit training room. Rushing to the manual, he picked out the 1st edition of the manual and flipped to page 2.

============================================

Now that you have your Quirk, it's time to start training. Renewal Taekwondo is a physically heavy martial art that relies on muscle density and flexibility. To prepare your body for martial arts, you will have to train every day without any breaks (Unless something important happens) or stoppage to maximize the efficiency of the training regime.

This first manual to the third manual is meant to train both your body and spirit, to diligently maintain the training, and to prepare your body for martial arts. Both Mori and I are monsters with talent that can learn the art in just 5 years, while one with above-average talent would need 8 to 10 years to be able to master Renewal.

But do not be discouraged, reader who found this book, as "Hard Work beats Talent when Talent doesn't work HARD."

Flipping to the next page after getting the inspirational quote, his eyes blinked for a few seconds upon reading the material before muttering "What the fuck". Flipping to the other pages, his face paled at the crazy workout regimen that Taejin and Mori had done.

'W-What in the world? 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, 10 km run for one set, and I have to do this 5 times a day?! That's just impossible!'

Not only that, but each exercise also has a counter, indicating that this book was actually keeping track of his exercises. And each exercise had 5 columns!

'This is crazy! I-I can't do this much! I'm just 4! Mori, you monster! How the hell did you do all this?!'

After a while, the boy calms down as he ruffles his silver hair in annoyance.

'ARGH! Fuck it, if this is what it takes to get anti-city level kicks, then I'm in!'

Setting the book aside, he walks to the middle of the room before putting his arms in a push-up stance, his legs out parallel to each other. Down, up, down, up, down, up. He continues this with ease… is what he would like to say.

"F-Fuck!" It hurts! It fucking hurts! But he continues as he pushes up again. Down, up, down, up, down, up. Eventually, he falls to the ground.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!" Looking at the book to take a look at his progress, his eyes widened.

'Just 29?! But surely, I did more!'

Thinking about it, he could only speculate that his unrecorded attempts were all not "true" push-ups. Looking at the clock on the wall, he gave a tired sigh as he moved back into the same push-up position.

'Oh fuck. This is going to take all night…'

Returning back from the cave was a struggle. His body was failing him every time he took a step forward. His legs were shivering from the pain and his body was drenched in sweat as if someone pushed him into a pool of sweat. Panting in exhaustion, he could only weakly smile after the training.

'In the end, I could only do 1 set…'

Swearing to finish the other 4 sets later, he finally exits the forest. Seeing that no one was awake yet, he climbed into the orphanage through the window, which hurt a lot, he glanced at the clock next to the bell.

6.46 a.m.

'Maybe I can bathe and sleep late. Give an excuse later…'

He decided and was about to sneak into the shower when his eyes landed on the ready school bags that everyone put in a corner for school the next day. Blinking, he could only curse as he forgot about the important thing that he dismissed earlier.

'… I forgot about school. For the love of…'

"You look like you got run over by a truck." Ryuji said honestly to the tired Gohru as the orphans walked to their nursery and elementary school. Right now, Gohru was walking alongside Daiki, Ryuji, and Kodao.

"Shut up." He muttered as he took another step with difficulty. At least it wasn't as bad as earlier, meaning that his Quirk was working perfectly adapting to the pain.

"Onii-chan, what happened?" He asked innocently as Gohru pats his head, reassuring the younger boy that he just sprained his neck, which Daiki snorted.

"Really? Spraining your neck makes your leg shake so bad?" Daiki grinned as they looked at the boy's shaking leg.

"Just. Shut. Up." He muttered embarrassed as he walked even faster, causing the three to laugh at their brother's dismay.

'And I have to do another 4 sets… Plus today's 5 sets later… UGHHHHHHHHH'

Maybe he should have used his karma points for another interesting power, like Super Speed or something…
