"So… Let me get this straight." A boy said towards a floating white orb as he massages his temples.
This is Ashton Grey, the unfortunate soul that is about to begin his journey.
"I died from a lightning strike while walking home from school, at 3 p.m. on the sidewalk, due to Zeus, who just finished an argument with Hera about him fucking another mortal that was pissed out of his mind, 'accidentally' threw a fucking thunderbolt at a random direction? And that random shot somehow hit me?"
"Yes. That seems to be the case."
"… I'm not sure why I'm so calm right now. I should be going insane from that explanation alone. I mean, Gods are real? And me being here means that I'm getting another opportunity from all the manga and fanfics I read. And what the fuck were the odds of that hitting me?!"
The orb stays quiet for a few seconds before speaking.
"For your first question, the office has a calming zone that keeps souls like you calm when we are explaining things. It makes it easier for us to communicate. Second, yes, the Gods are real, but they are but an ant to Celestial Gods who govern universes. Third, yes, you are getting another shot at life. Lastly, the odds were 0.00521%"
"Ugh,I was being sarcastic about the last question, now I feel shit."
Suddenly, a binder appeared out of nowhere, floating in the air. Ashton grabs the binder as the orb explains.
"This binder has all universes you can use your karma points to travel to. Our system counts the points by percentage to make things easier since an average person has about a million points."
Opening the binder, the first thing he saw was a table of contents. It was numbered as page one out of 999,999,999, and that was just the table of contents. This means that the multiverse is real. Shocking.
"You can use your voice or thoughts to search through and sort out the binder, by the way."
"Oh, thanks for the heads up."
Hmm… Remove every universe that can kill me in a second.
'Damn, the pages lost ¾ of their contents. There goes all power-scaling universes like Chinese cultivation universes, I guess. Goodbye Battle to the Heavens. I'll miss the sweet ass of '
OK, then now remove all dull and mundane universes.

OK, now remove elements like zombies and horror themes. I can't stand horror.

'3 million. That's interesting, so there are universes that don't have powers but are still considered not mundane?'
Er… Remove Marvel and DC verses. Oh, also anything related to beings that can kill my ass without using a minuscule of their power like the One Above All or the Beyonder. I want to have a chance to be able to win at least. Might as well add intergalactic themes like Star Wars and Star Trek. Hate those.

Deciding to take a peek at the pages one by one for reference of universes that the binder selected, the boy's eyebrows raised. Most of the pages were famous manga and anime series like BNHA, Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, DXD, and Fairy Tail.
Thinking thoroughly about it, he decided to go with BNHA, because 1. It's easier without much stake at hand. 2. He likes BNHA for the simplicity of none bullshit powers like being able to destroy a planet with a punch. 3. He just thinks that BNHA is a good series in general, even if he only watched 4 seasons of the anime.

Taking his time, he looked through each and every one of the universes, spanning from Izuku having a Quirk, to him becoming a Villain, etc.
"Hey, Mr. Orb, I want to ask. Can I specifically get a power that I want using my karma points? Like being able to use Ki as a Quirk?"
"… Yes, you can. Although there will be some nerfs to you or the Quirk depending on how powerful it is."
That's fair. He could live with that.
"And what if I want a specific scenario to happen, for example being born as Izuku's twin or reincarnating into a rich family?"
"That can be accepted as well as long as you have the karma points to request so."
"Hmm... Then I will choose BNHA-5-012 for the price of 21% of my karma points."

"How much are Jin Taejin's Renewal and Recoilless Taekwondo techniques? Since this technically isn't an ability but a martial art."

"T-Then at least can you give me a complete guide of it instead? I'd need to put the hard work in and all that."

"Deal! Also can I add a training capsule that acts as a gravity room from Dragon Ball?"

The binder disappears from his hand as the orb shines brightly, slowly increasing in brightness and intensity.

And everything went white.
