As I got ready for school, I thought about what happened on Friday. I didn't even know how to feel about it. I felt both thankful and invaded. Thankful that he isn't a Mafia leader out for my blood and invaded because the dude broke into my house.

"Aubrey! Bus!" Brenda snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Coming!" I yelled and went down with my bag strapped to my back. She met me in the living room with my little lunch box.

"Here. Love you baby." She said, placing a kiss on my forehead. "I'll be home earlier this week so we can chill together again." She said and mood lifted.

"Really?" I asked, excitedly.

"Mhm. The night shift girl's in so I don't have to cover for her." She said and I hugged her tightly.

"I'll be home as soon as school's done." I promised and she smiled. I left with a quick I love you and boarded the bus, greeting Fenwick. There was a guy with a hoodie on in the back and I sat beside him. I tried not to let my paranoia surface so I plugged my earphones in and looked out the window until we reached the school.

I got off and entered the school building to find Asher at my locker.

"Took you long enough." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"Good morning to you too."I said and she rolled her eyes this time. "What happened to you this weekend? Not even a single text or call. I'm hurt." I feigned hurt and she chuckled.

"Levi and I worked the whole weekend on our project. It's due this Thursday and we're almost done." She said excitedly. I cooed at her, poking her arm.

"Ooooh, look who's got a boyfriend." I teased and she shooed my hands away.

"I wish but no. I don't think so. Anyway what did you do when I was away?" She asked.

"I know you're trying to change the subject but I'll allow it because I've got something to tell you." I said. Her interested peeked.

"Why what happened?" She asked.

"That guy that we met last Wednesday?" I reminded her and fear crossed her eyes.

"Yeah?"

"He came to my place on Friday." I told her and she gasped.

"Wh-what? How did he find you?" She asked.

"He followed me home on Thursday but don't worry. He only came to apologise. We made a deal that we wouldn't acknowledge each other at all and we'll both forget what happened on Wednesday." I informed her and she sighed a breath of relief.

"Well that's a relief but how are you sure he's not just tricking you?" She asked. I shrugged.

"I don't know but he had this look of complete honesty which made me believe him. He looked like he doesn't want any trouble for himself." I said and she rose an eyebrow at me.

"Are you sure? Because Mr honesty seems to be the bad boy of this school and he's filthy rich." She said and I furrowed my eyebrows, confused.

"What?"

"His name's Kaiden Kensington aka Kai the King." She said.

"What are you talking about?" I still wasn't getting it.

"He's rich and he's a bad boy. He's complete bad news Aubrey. I heard some girls talking about the fact that his father owns like half of the school. They were looking at his picture and I saw him." She explained.

"So he's rich and sleeps around a lot. Big deal, the jocks in this school do that." I said. I don't know why I'm defending him but it just feels right to. Asher shook her head at me.

"No, he doesn't just sleep around Aubrey. He almost killed two guys from this school last year after he got extremely angry and beat the shit out of them at once. He rarely comes to school at all too. What do you think about that?" She asked. I didn't know what to think about it at all. I shook my head to rid myself of any thoughts.

"You know what, let's just continue with our lives like nothing ever happened. It'll be better that way." I said. I want to graduate in peace. Asher looked like she wanted to debate further but I shot her a look and she raised her hands in surrender and we began walking towards our history class.

After school we went home together. Brenda was crashing on the couch, watching TV already when we entered.

"Hey baby, oh and Asher oh my dear God, you look incredible. This summer did you a lot of good huh?" She said. Asher smirked cheekily and Brenda laughed at her.

"Mhm. I miss your food the most. it's been weeks since I had some so I suggest you get into the kitchen and make something." Asher said and Brenda rose an eyebrow at her.

"Really little miss attitude?" Brenda sassed and Asher just continued smirking. We all got into the kitchen and had a blast making lasagna together and when we finished, Brenda made us a sundae. We watched movies until we passed out on the couch.
