36 Which sect should I rob?

"So, I think you probably know about this already. Our sacred pills stock has officially dried up, unless you are to consider the two pills that I saved up for emergency." Goldy spoke, as he showed me the two pills in the previously filled container.

"Ha… Well, it was supposed to dry up sooner or later, but I never expected it to be this soon. Surprising, to say the least." I replied while giving out a sigh. Who knew that sculpting one dragon statue will suck up all my Qi. Had I known that before, I would have used the Qi on other skills… not like I have any other though.

"Top-notch skills need a lot of Qi. So, don't think this is the last time that the dragon's rage is gonna drain up your entire Qi." Goldy spoke, almost as if he was giving out a stern warning.

"I see. By the way, how am I supposed to level up this? Hell, how am I even supposed to use this?" I asked. I genuinely didn't know how I'm supposed to level this up. In the game, for leveling up certain moves of the character, you have to get some sort of level up equipment. However, I have no idea what that equipment might be for the Dragon's rage.

"Hmm, practice the skill, believe in yourself and the power you have and give out the maximum effort you can muster up. That's how you can level up." He said with a straight face.

"Eh?" I couldn't believe it. Like, what the hell is that? "You sound like some motivational speaker back on Earth, you know that? Like those shortcut to success classes sound exactly the same as what you did right now. You can't fool me like that. Now tell me, what's the equipment. I mean it'll make total sense if the equipment is some amazing thing that I've never heard of. After all, the Dragon's rage is special." I replied, while giving out a laugh.

However, the more I laughed, the more I noticed that he wasn't kidding about what he said. "Why would I make a fool out of you? Why do you think I'm lying about it?" He asked.

"Well, as I said, isn't that a special skill? Don't you think special skills deserve special equipment?" I asked, curious about the reply that he was gonna give. By the way he talked, I could clearly confirm that it doesn't require a level up equipment, which is really useful, if you think about it. How hard will it be to find equipment for it? Really hard, right? However, now it's really simple. But, I would like to know the reason why. Is it because it's an intimidation skill, as he calls it? Since finding a skill like itself is rare, they might not need equipment or something.

Goldy sighed. "If you're gonna find an answer to your questions by yourself, then don't go asking me about it." He replied.

"Wow, I was right?" I couldn't just believe that my guess hit the mark. Maybe today's my lucky day or something? I mean, every dog has a day, right? Hmm, shall I take one lottery or something?

"Geez, pipe down. You just guessed just the one phenomenon correctly. You don't have to be so hype about it the entire time." He sighed yet again. His looks clearly said that he couldn't contain a volatile substance like me and even looked like he was about to leave my mentor post at one point.

"Okay, I won't flail around the house shouting that today's my lucky day." I promised him, so he took a breath of relief.

"So… About the pill problem…" Goldy began speaking before I rudely interrupted him.

"I mean… The cat burglar has to re-emerge, right?" I gave out a little fu~fu while I said that.

"Oh, it looks like you really love the name that they gave you even though the credit's being given to some other guy!" Goldy replied in a borderline sarcastic tone.

"Well, that's the fun part, isn't it? You doing some crazy shite and people having no idea who is responsible for it and diverting the blame to someone totally different. It really stimulates the sadistic part of my brain, you know? It's fun seeing people getting mentally hurt because of me!" I laughed before realizing that I totally sound like a maniacal villainess and stopped my laugh.

However, Goldy didn't take my statement seriously. Instead, he scoffed. "Says the person who cried in a corner when you accidentally ended up reading an NTR someday…" He spoke.

"Hey! I cry when I see something despicable like that happen right before my eyes. It's something that should never occur to a person! What's wrong in crying about that?" I asked.

"Well, it's messed up when you actively search up for something similar." He replied, giving out a sinister smile. This guy! Why does he have to look up these trivial memories? Idiot!

"Umm, that's because… I'm a sado-maso! I have to give some love to my masochistic side as well, right?" I spoke while cracking into a nervous chuckle…. I shouldn't have done that. The worst thing you could do in a situation like this is to crack under pressure and end up giving out a laughter. I mean, who won't understand the fluctuation in one's voice in such a tense atmosphere. I did something that easily leaked out my inner anxiety.

"Damn, you're acting as if I judge you by your expressions or something while I totally can see the stuff inside that thick skull of yours. As if I'm gonna play with your anxieties." He spoke in a soft yet firm tone, as if he was trying to reprimand and reassure me at the same time. It looks like he could be excellent around with babies. Well, I'm a giant baby after all… Man, self-deprecating jokes are the best! No one will get insulted by the statements you made about yourself. By the way, why did he think that the NTR thing is some anxiety that I don't wanna reveal? It isn't a big deal. I'm a degenerate, you get me? You don't have to act like this… Same could be said about me too, I guess…

"We're getting off point. We were talking about the Qi pills, remember?" I asked, trying to put aside the trivial conversation we just had.

"Yea, which one should we plunder this time?" Goldy asked, as he handed me the book in which I wrote the sect names. It still surprises me that a soul like Goldy can actually carry stuff. Well, I understand he's the upper echelon, but still…

I stopped thinking about it when I caught a glance of Goldy's excited eyes and started looking through the pages. In my previous attempt, I raided the Raging Thunder sect, and it went perfectly, so maybe I can go a bit ambitious and aim for the Tang sect… is what normies usually think. That's utterly idiotic. I was just plain lucky that the guard there were a bunch of lazy guys. That's not gonna happen every single time. And especially with the rumor floating around that the beggar sect, the ones upholding justice in these areas are actively sending out their sect members to prevent further robberies by the cat burglars is certainly concerning. So, rather than going ambitious and failing, I'll continue with my small scale invasions before I go absolute bonkers. However, the problem now is which one's the one with the least security. I would like it if I can waltz in just like the previous time. Thinking that as the main criteria, I carefully looked at the sect names, before finally ending up picking the perfect candidate for this turn.

"Hmm, this one! We'll go for this one… The Mediocre Sect…. Wait a minute, what's with the naming sense and how did I not notice it before? Did the developers seriously discard the sect early on and didn't even bother to give it a name?" I cried out loud. No matter how I looked at it, the name was totally radical. I mean, do you really think it's possible for someone brilliant to come out of the MEDIOCRE sect? Even if someone did, their skills will be seriously hindered by the name of their sect. I feel bad for those people. At least, we have a cool sect name like the Blue Moon Sect!

"Even with that name, I believe they have at least two warriors using the sacred pill." Goldy replied as he peeked at the book.

"That's impressive…" I was thoroughly impressed because they were able to break the stereotype. Kudos!

"Anyway, I got something for you." Goldy spoke.

"What is it? Are you gonna give me a gift or something? I mean, I will accept everything that comes in my way, except for malicious attacks." I replied.

"Well, it's nothing like that. I've just got a very important mission for you. This mission will evaluate your skills." He spoke with an incredible serious tone. I gulped as I waited for him to reveal this important mission that he spoke of.
