76 The duo plans a heist

"Well, I am God after all!" Goldy replied.

Thankfully to him, no one could see his face at that moment and the only one that could was concentrating on her cultivation. His face was kinda twisted from those prideful words he just said.

"Ha, yeah. Such things from you shouldn't surprise me, eh?" Guo Ning spoke.

"Hmm, I'd be fine if you got amazed by my skills, don't worry." Goldy replied in a low voice.

"Is that so? Then I'll continue praising you for it then." Guo Ning said with a smile on his face.

"Whatever." He played it cool, but on the inside he was jumping up and down in happiness.

[Damn it, am I becoming a tsundere as well?]

{Okay, when all of this is over, I need a lot of explanation from you!}

[What the hell are you doing? Concentrate on your cultivation. You know how delicate it is learning that skill, right?]

Goldy sighed. He had no idea how she didn't suffer a penalty for lacking concentration during cultivation, but she never did. Although that was the case all along, he continued worrying about it since there's always a chance that the unexpected could happen.

"So, are we going?" Guo Ning, who initially waited for Goldy to say something, took it upon himself to escalate the chat.

"Ah, sure." Goldy nodded his head, not that Guo Ning saw it or something.

"By the way, I don't know if you know about it, but there are a few unofficial disciples of our sect here and I don't want them running to the wild and escaping our clutches. So, can you make a similar barrier as the one you made with Miss Hua?" Guo Ning asked.

"Well, I can. But, I'm not gonna do that one." Goldy replied.

"But why, though?" Ning asked.

"You see, the one I made for Hua, she can walk out of it while we can't go in. So, if we make such a barrier here, it would be dangerous, so-" Goldy couldn't even complete his speech before Guo Ning interfered.

"Understood. Make a barrier through which both sides can't pass then." He basically ordered the ancient gold dragon posed as God into doing that.

Goldy was frustrated due to a multitude of reasons. He missed Hua, who knew basically nothing about the place and how he had to explain every minute detail to her. Compared to that, he absolutely hated how Guo Ning interrupted his explanation, talked back to him and basically ordered him to do something. Hua would never do that!

"Fine!" Even though Ning frustrated him, he built the barrier as instructed.

"Oh, wow! This one is pretty sturdy as well! You're great, Mr God!" Guo Ning praised Goldy as he repeatedly banged the barrier with all his strength.

"Ah, well. It's my speciality after all." Goldy spoke.

He was waiting for Guo Ning to appreciate him. The previously frustrated version of him was nowhere to be seen at that point.

"Ok, now that's done, shall we move towards our destination… Wait, where exactly is our destination?" He asked.

"Let me see. The closest one would be the Flowing River Sect. So, shall we set out there?" Goldy asked.

"Flowing River Sect. Aren't they the most gentle ones in the cultivation world? My conscience can't handle it. Can we go mess up the Bulldozer sect? I mean, they have been a nuisance for literally everyone, right?" Guo Ning asked in the most polite tone.

[Bulldozer Sect. This world really has garbage sect names. The developers could have at least named it something else. Raging thunder, mediocre and now bulldozer. Don't they have any artistic sense?]

[I know you're hearing it. But good job keeping your mouth shut this time around.]

"Mr God?" Guo Ning was waiting on a reply from Goldy, but upon receiving none, he called upon God.

In the guy's mind, God was someone with an attention span of a toddler, so had to be called to get his attention back. Only if Goldy knew he thought like that, he would've raged at this point.

"Ah, Bulldozer sect, huh? Thankfully, they have the pills we need as well. And they're relatively near, so let's head there." Goldy agreed to it.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Guo Ning, who stood before the sect base of the Bulldozer sect, asked Goldy.

"Well, we could do stealth. But, I feel like you don't have the practice to do that. So, how about we out-bulldoze the Bulldozer sect?" He asked back.

"Hmm, not a bad idea to be honest. I've always wanted to test my strength against them!" Guo Ning said as he cracked his knuckles.

"You masochistic battle freak." Goldy mumbled.

"What was that?" Guo Ning asked.

"Ah, you might need a disguise when you get inside the sect. Can't reveal your face carelessly, right?" Goldy asked.

"Somehow I feel like what you said right now is way off from what you said before. Might just be my imagination." Guo Ning had a suspicious gaze when he said that.

"You see, I said it in an ancient language. So, you might not have understood it." Goldy came in with a bullshite statement.

"Oh, is that so? I guess I heard it wrong!" Guo Ning was all smiles at this point.

At this point, Goldy was genuinely worried about people making a fool out of him just like he did just then.

"Disguise, huh? How about the mask that Miss Hua bought for me?" Guo Ning asked.

"No. It's something you wore when Hua was the empress. If you wore it, you might reveal that both are the same person." The dragon replied.

"You're right! What shall I do then?" Ning asked.

"How about covering your face with that shawl that you have so conveniently wrapped in your neck?" Goldy asked.

"Oh, are you talking about this one that I brought because I thought it would be cold even though the entire day was freaking hot? Great idea!" Ning said as he wrapped the shawl on his face. "Let's go!" He said as he walked towards the entrance of the Bulldozer sect.
