Prologue

The sun was high in the spring sky as a werewolf pack was going about there day.

The Alpha pair were playing with their four year old daughter. It was her birthday and the whole pack was celebrating. The Betas were keeping sneaking pups away from the cake till it was time. The Gamma was smiling at the scene. Her 7 year old son was playing with the birthday girl while his mother held his new born baby sister.

The Gamma's husband, however, was by the porch to the pack house and keeping a watchful eye while the Delta couple were stacking the presents. Soon, the Alpha looked to her daughter and smiled. "How's your birthday Athena?" She asked with a smile and right before little Athena could answer a howl was heard in the distance.

It was a war cry. Another pack was attacking. The Alpha quickly gave her daughter to the Gamma. "Yasmin! Take the pups somewhere safe. I'll come find you when this ends." The Gamma nodded and took off with the three pups.

She was lost at first. She didn't know what to do as a pack war erupted around her. She was frantic until she saw a place her son could hide in and quickly placed him there.

"Mommy?" The young boy pipes up and his mother smiled. "Just…. Stay put Ashton. Okay? Mama loves you, but you need to stay put and be very quiet. Okay?" She explained and he nodded.

She then looked again. She even went off grounds after hiding her daughter. That was when she saw it. A human man walking to the woods. He had stopped his truck on the side of the road. Yasmin could only guess he was peeing. She looked to the pup in her arms. The scared girl looked to her. She soothed her before placing her in the bed of the truck. Yasmin didn't know what, but something, call it intuition, told her this was how Athena would survive.

She then ran to rejoin what would be a loosing fight for her pack.

The man drove all the way into a human town before realizing he had a stowaway. Not knowing where or when the girl appeared he took her to the authorities, only her to wind up in the local orphanage.

Not a month later a couple came in. The wife worked there and her husband, a military man, was coming in to read a book to the children. When the wife saw the girl the Orphanage dubbed Luna, seeing as she wouldn't talk and therefore wouldn't give her name, she new the girl was different.
