57 Should I keep going? (Not a chapter)

First of all, thanks to everyone who has read up til now.

This is the first story I really got attached to, I'm extremely proud of the first arc and I love how nicely it lays out the background of the fic.

For me writing fics is both a hobby and training for whenever I would decide to try my luck with writing an actual novel.

My writing improved a lot, as well as many side skills such as planning and editing, so I'm happy about it.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way my motivation kinda crumbled. I realized that I spent over 250 hours writing ever since I started. And it made it feel like I might be wasting a lott of my time.

I did get asked to make a patre on and I even considered it at some point, but I don't know if anyone would be interested to begin with, nor do I know if it would fix my current problem.

I feel like not keeping up the schedule I used to have ruined the potential that this story had.

You guys might believe I stopped writing because I didn't update in a while, but the truth is that I almost always wrote at least 1 chapter a week.

I currently have 5 other chapters sitting in my draft, they just need to be edited. Yet I can't find the will to do it.

I thought of dropping this story quite a few times but always decided against it.

(I thought of making this into a discord post, but I don't know how many of you are still active there, so I'm just putting this here and will delete it by the time I release the next chapter. I just hope to get a few opinions on the matter.)

So if you're free please answer those few questions, I'll appreciate any kind of reply.

What do you guys think of the story? Is it worth continuing?

After this story, what should I do as a writer?

How can I gain back the motivation for writing without feeling like I'm putting too much time or effort into it?

Thanks to everyone who decides to play along and reply.
