Blue Lock

The train was 30 minutes away from Tokyo, after Sho's hour and a half nap. So for the next 30 minutes Sho got on his phone, and watched funny YouTube videos, giggling to himself, in an empty train cart.

Making it out of the train station, Sho looked towards the clock as it read 5:15 in the morning. He had about 40 minutes to get to the Japanese Union building, so Sho put his directions into google maps and began walking.

The obscure buildings were kept hidden in the dark, as Sho turned the corner down into the dimly lit alleyway.

The sun just began showing itself to the world, as Sho began seeing some people walk down the road. Most of these people were old shopkeepers, getting ready for the day. One shop, startled Sho, as the metal storefront suddenly rolled up into itself. Sho unconsciously walked a bit faster away from the stores, deeper into the heart of Tokyo.

Just like that, Sho made it to a fenced off, moderately tall white building, with diagonal windows going across it. Sho was the only person at the front gate so he rechecked the address from the letter, and made sure the sign at the front gate said Japan Football Union.

After he was 95 percent sure he was at the right place, Sho placed his duffle bag against the wall, and patiently waited for people as he finished another funny video on YouTube.

Sho didn't have to wait too long for someone to show up as a lanky man with rectangle glasses and a black outfit, began slowly walking towards the Japan Football Union building. Sho quickly got up and watched as the lanky man approached him, Sho opened his mouth and was about to say something but before he could the lanky man pointed his finger at Sho and brought it back to him, gesturing to follow him.

Both of them walked in silence as the lanky man guided him into the lit open room inside the Japan Football Union building. He walked on to a stage and quietly said

???: "Wait here."

Sho did what the man said and waited at the front of the stage for around 10 minutes as other High School football prospects began flooding the open room.

The once open room became tight and uncomfortable as every high school prospect was shoulder to shoulder with one another.

The lights dimmed as everyone began quieting down. A sudden spotlight shone on the lanky man as everyone took notice of him. With a passionless expression he boringly said

???: " Welcome you unpolished gems, I'm Jinpachi Ego and you're here based on my own personal biases and opinions."

The 300 High School prospects began talking with one another, all of them slightly confused. Before the they could continue talking with one another, Jinpachi coughed into the mic and said

Jinpachi: "To put it simply, Japan only needs one thing to become the strongest powerhouse in football, and that is a revolutionary striker and this revolutionary striker will be one of you."

Jinpachi tapped a remote in his hand as a projection of Blue Lock popped up. He went on to explain what each of the 5 pentagon buildings hold and the main football field in the center of Blue Lock.

After the building was shown, Jinpachi let out the most important detail about Blue Lock.

Jinpachi: "You, the last player standing, will be crowned the best striker in the world. That's all for details, nice to meet you."

The gates behind Jinpachi slowly opened up as a player in a white tracksuit raised his hand and began arguing about Jinpachi's ideologies.

Sho didn't bother paying attention to the 2 as they began arguing with one another. He pulled out his phone and texted both Yushiro and Yoruichi explaining to them that he'll be gone longer than they expected.

As he stuffed his phone into his back pocket, he unknowingly grinned to himself and took a step forward. All eyes were on the player with a white tracksuit as only Jinpachi took notice of Sho as he began walking past him.

With a near demonic expression, Sho walked through the gates and made it to the multiple busses lined up next to each other. Sho chose one at random and sat at the very back of the bus, ready for Blue Lock

With Sho's eyes closed he slowed down his breathing and voluntarily entered his ominous mindscape. The sinister environment inside Sho's head kept getting worse as the days passed. The once smooth walls were now jagged, and the once smooth ground seemed to get more dirty and dangerous as the days passed.

With analytical eyes, Sho carefully examined 2 small chains, and one large chain all black in color. The 2 small chains seemed about ready to be unlocked, but Sho knew the other large chain was gonna take longer to crack.

As he was about to examine the rest of the chains, he was forcefully expelled from out of his mindscape.

He opened his eyes and audibly heard other rowdy players around him. Sho didn't bother paying attention to the other players, instead he looked out of the window as the bus slowly drove up a wooded mountain.

After an hour, the multiple buses made it to the Blue Lock building. Sho was the last to get off the bus and stared up in amazement at the size of Blue Lock.

Everyone from the buses lined up in orderly fashion and began walking into Blue Lock one by one until it was Sho's turn. Sho stared at the woman with neck-length brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, immediately remembering when they first met. He decided to keep it to himself and patiently waited for her to speak.

As she stared down at her notebook at the front entrance she rapidly said

Anri: "Name, Age, and what Prefecture you live in."

Sho: "Shihoin Sho, 16, Shizuoka."

Anri scrolled through the sea of names until she landed at Shihoin Sho. As she found his name, Sho interjected and said

Sho: "You can balance 4 footballs at once so you must be a decent football player yourself."

Anri half heartedly listened to what Sho said as she went through the numerous jerseys. She caught a glimpse of his blood red hair as she gave him a jersey with the number 253 and a W on it.

As Sho walked through the hallway into the building, Anri timidly blushed and turned around as she caught on about her balancing act. As she looked at Sho's back, confusion clouded her eyes instantly as she recollected her memories about the time she picked up a stranger with the same recognizable blood red hair.
