SHIVERING PREMONITIONS

After listening to Enri explain his situation, Grey and I just quietly took a sit since this was even more mind blowing than when I told them about Blue.

"I can't believe I thought my secret was the biggest secret ever" I said with a shocked expression plastered over my face.

Looking at Enri, Grey scoffed in a manner which said I can't believe this, "I can't believe this? How can the both of you have earth shattering secrets and leave me as the only normal guy in the room?" he asked as stood up enraged.

Enri and I just looked at him as if he had lost his mind.

"Dude, are you sure you've not lost your mind?" I asked. "Other people worry about other things but you are worried about not having an earth shattering secret" I said.

"easy for you to say when you have an alien living in your body" he replied coldly.

"I still don't see how you guys are related" said Enri as he watched Greys transformation, trying not to laugh.

"You… stop that!" screamed Grey, "just because you also have an earth shattering secret you think you can laugh?" he asked.

"Yes, I can" replied Enri.

"Don't worry, one of these days I'll also have an Earth shattering secret" said Grey as he puffed out his chest in comical arrogance.

"I can see why you think the both of us are not related" I said to Enri.

"Finally,"

A couple of days later

"The three of you have been slacking and Jeffrey is still hiding" scolded Coach Michael after assessing all of us. "I better not catch Jeffrey or I'm going to make work him like a race horse" he said as he looked around the gym.

"Sorry Coach" I said.

"Humph, you guys can't afford to be slack with the AGC coming up, there are guys who can easily match your performance Hyla, as for the both of you I know you guys are not able to match Hyla's level but you need to put in more work to be able to perform at the AGC" he said as he flipped through the chart in his hand.

"Yes, Coach but…" said Grey.

"No buts, now can you guys find Jeffrey for me?" he asked.

"Uhm sure" replied Enri.

Coach Michael immediately left without a single second for any questions.

"I guess the AGC is getting to him more than it's getting to us, I don't think I've ever seen him this on edge" I said as I watched him leave.

"Tell us about it, I can already see how our training is going to be upped another bar" said Enri as his shoulders slouched.

"I guess I have to figure out how when I'll be free to take Susan out for some fun" said Grey as he sighed.

"You're right, it's been a while since I last saw Macy" said Enri scratching his head, "What about you and Katrina?" he asked.

"We're alright, she has a competition coming so she has to focus on her studies plus she still has to complete a painting" I said smiling.

"I didn't know the both of you we're still talking so much" replied Enri as he shrugged his shoulders saying "it does not matter at all, unlike me who is supposed to get married with someone I don't understand" in a very low voice.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing" he replied snappily.

"We better get back to training" suggested Grey.

"What about finding Jeffrey?" I asked.

"That's easy, you are the one searching for him" he replied before pulling Enri, "it's not that I don't want to search for him but if Coach Michael sees either Grey or I searching for him he'll say we just want to slack off and double our training time but he won't do that if it's you" explained Grey.

"Are you sure it's not because Jeffrey is really good at hiding and you think you can't find?" I asked.

Smiling, Grey and Enri ran away.

It would surprise anybody every time someone found Jeffrey hiding, because you would never think he was so good at hiding. He was in a sense very different, yesterday he was found in the pool, in a garb that made him almost impossible to see while in the water, he even went as far as making a transparent snorkel pipe to ese when underwater. Talk about a genius at hiding.

The day before that he hid under the diving teams coach table because they were supposed to be training outside while Coach Michael searched the whole building muttering curses under his breath the whole morning.

"This is definitely going to be hard" I thought.

"Blue can you help me find Jeffrey?" I asked.

"Please, you do remember that I am an alien system with a superior skill set to what you humans possess how can you degrade me to performing such a task?" asked Blue as he adjusted his neck tie.

"Come on, can't you just help me?" I asked once more.

"Don't be silly, I will not help with such a task a second time" he said before disappearing and pulling up a 3D model of the building as he marked some places with red dots.

"What are the red dots?" I asked.

"those are the possible places where Jeffrey could be hiding based on past observations" his voice said as it echoed in my head.

"Thanks"

"Don't thank me, any other time I would have not helped you but the sooner you find Jeffrey the sooner you get back to working out" he replied.

"Thanks" I said ignoring him.

"I prepared a couple of tasks for you to complete so we can further improve your stats" he said, "you are getting closer to reach Level 20" he said.

"Oh… that's good I guess" I said.

"it's more than good, level 20 is a major turning point for your body and for the system" he said.

"Why?" I asked.

"There's no need to stress yourself, you'll figure it out when you reach level 20" he said snickering.

His snickers sent shivers down my spine for some reason I had a feeling it would not be very pleasant transformation.
