INCOMING THREAT

"Grey, what time is it?" I asked as I woke up.

"It's past ten already" he said.

"Why didn't you guys wake me up?" I asked.

"You have to relax, we don't know why you're putting up with such barbaric treatment all in the name of training" said Enri, "But you need to understand that even you need some time off" he said sternly.

"Thanks man, but I can handle this" I said, "but honestly thanks, I guess I really needed that extra hours of sleep" I said.

Thanks to my new schedule for the past couple of weeks, I had to wake up at six in the morning, to start up my day, even though after the minor exercises I do after waking up I am still able to finish my duties of the day before going to bed at ease and comfortably.

"Stat menu" I said as I called up my stat menu.

BLUE BASIC STATS:

Strength - 40

Agility - 54

Vitality - 41

I experienced quite the large increase in my stats during this one and a half month of intense training, my Stamina and Agility stat were raised by a whooping Thirty Points, as my Agility stat became my highest rated stat before my Speed, Stamina and Vitality. Raising my Vitality stat was in no way easy since it had a lot to do with my physical body conditioning, I had to endure tremendous pain while I trained as I increased my Vitality stat. Thanks to the training with my speed, I could match a speed bike easily even without running at my max speed. My strength had a punching force of a thousand ponds.

From just looking my stat menu. I felt that all the pain I had to endure was worth it.

"Hyla" said Blue as he appeared in front of me.

"Hey, Blue what's new?" I asked.

"Nothing good" he replied in a slightly sour manner.

"What happened" I asked in a serious manner, knowing Blue he would only act in such a manner if it was serious.

"Using the satellite developed by your planet, I found a meteorite heading for earth" he said.

"So, meteorites usually approach earth, apart from you as the anomaly" I simply replied.

"Yes, I know that from the research I made on your planet but it seems this meteorite is definitely not an ordinary meteorite judging from its trajectory and speed through space" he said.

"So, you suspect he's one of you?" I asked.

"I'm afraid so" he said, "I suggest you prepare yourself" said Blue.

"Okay, when does it arrive?" I asked,

"Maybe sometime within the week" he said, "Its speed is continually increasing" he said.

"keep me posted about its movement" I said as Blue disappeared.

Blue was a very reclusive alien despite being able to projects his thoughts in my head, he seems to avoid making conversations except when necessary or when he feels like teasing me for no reason at all, but he was especially quiet during this period.

It was two days later before the government released news of the incoming meteorite, it was quite a big deal since it had been less than three months when the first meteorite crashed on earth. The incoming meteorite was also following an almost equal trajectory as the first one as it sent the whole world of Astrophysics into a quagmire.

I on the other hand had been dealing with everyday problems of a university student.

"Hyla can you help me tell Coach Michael I won't be able to make it to training this weekend" said Grey as he passed me his notes.

"I guess so, why?" I asked.

"Susanne says we don't hand out as much as we used to because of all the training and the studying, so I want to take out to enjoy the weekend." He said.

"Oh… I understand" I said, "What about you Enri, don't you need the week off?" I asked as Enri finally put his laptop down after he finished typing his assignment.

"I also need a break too" he said as he stretched as if making a show of how tired he was.

"Ok, it's settled, I'll ask for the weekend off for all of us" I said as I turned around before laying on the floor.

Today was way too hot, so hot that even with the windows wide open, there was not a single cool breeze that occasionally entered the room, we had all taken a shower at least thrice since waking up and it was just past twelve in the afternoon.

"I need another shower" said Grey as he grabbed his towel as he headed for the bathroom.

"I've got a much better idea, how about we go swimming" said Enri,

"Why didn't I think of that" said Enri as he slapped his thighs.

"That's a very good idea" I said.

"Of course, I thought of it" said Enri smugly.

"Whatever!!!" said Grey as he acted like some silly and proud cheerleader.

"Let's go"

Wasting no time Grey threw away his towel as he made his way to the wardrobe, in a matter of seconds he had changed into a beach wear, simple khaki shorts, a short sleeved Caribbean themed T-shirt, with a simple white body snug shirt inside before he put on slippers.

"Why are you guys looking at me like that?" asked Grey.

"Nothing, we're just going to the pool at the gym not the beach" I said.

"So, what? That does not mean I have to look completely average" he replied.

Enri and I just looked at each other before we shrugged our shoulders and got changed into a similar outfit as we headed out of the dorms.

"What's up?" asked Cynthia.

"Nothing much do you guys mind if we use the pool with you guys the heat outside is unbearable" said Grey as he flashed her his brightest smile.

"Sure, but I thought you guys didn't have training today?" she asked.

"Yeah we don't have training today but we do need to cool off" said Enri.

"I didn't ask you" she said before she ignored Enri and walked off to meet her teammates.

Cynthia is part of the Swim Team, she's a second-year student and also the second fastest swimmer on the team, she's just a couple of seconds behind the team captain. Cynthia always seems to become cold whenever Enri talks, but I suspect she's totally into him but does not know what to do,

"Why does she always do that?" asked Enri as he watched her beautiful figure leave. Although Cynthia was cold to him, he still had to admit that she was beautiful, like a feisty cat. Her long legs seemed to complement her beautiful curvy shape and her red-hair which ran down her back almost reaching her waist.

"Honestly, I wonder what she sees in this Enri at times" I thought to myself Forget I said to myself.

"let's get changed" said Grey as he headed for the locker room.
