1 Chapter 1

||Blue's Pov||

"Yeah, Bye." I chuckled.

"Bye Dear." My Dad said at the background then the call was ended.

I had just ended one of my occasional video calls to the United States of America where my dad and twin sister was.

I wondered if my mum had already spoke to them then I got up to clean my bicycle at the backyard.

As I walked through the sitting room, I noticed my mum had left for work already. My mother was a very hardworking woman even if she receives a large sum of money every month from my white dad.

I'm Blue, Eldest twin daughter of Mr Davies and Mrs Jaiyeola. My parents divorced when I was ten, I and my twin sister had to be separated according to the judgment which I never understood then.

My father is white, an American man while my mother, A typical Ijebu Epe Woman, I really wondered how they met everytime it crossed my mind.

Although we're not together, Violet my twin sister and I still kept in touch through the Whatsapp video calls, Skype and other social networks.

I also have a younger sister, Stacy, two years younger than I, hyperactive, playful and sometimes annoying.

I've got my dark face from my mother even if I've got the shape of my dad's nose. My favorite color is Blue and I love plantains, they are heavenly.

I cleaned my bicycle and moved it outside the door. I was about to go inside when I noticed lights in the other house besides ours.

"Stacy mentioned something like that last night." I said to myself and opened the door to my house.

"Did you see the new neighbors?" Stacy squealed as I got inside.

"No? Why do I need to see them?"

"They have two boys, One is my age and the other is about yours. I haven't spoke to the elder brother yet, but the younger one seems nice." Stacy continued talking.

"Stace? Are you fine?" I moved closer and put my palm on her forehead.

"I'm fine, you're the boring one." She said chuckling.

I shook my head and went upstairs to take my bath and prepare for school. My mum has gone to work already and I don't have to take care of Stacy as she's old enough.

I got out of the bathroom and I dried my hair. I wanted to the lotion on my body when I heard Stacy's voice.

"The bus is here, I'm gone!"

"Okay!" I yelled back.

I looked at the time, it was already 8 am. "Damn! I'm going to be late again," I muttered. I quickly dressed up in my cute school uniform and took my bag, put my phone in it and slid it on my back.

I locked the door and kept the key, then I got on my bicycle.

I put on my small helmet and rode off to school, the fastest way I could. I got to school in five minutes and was at my parking spot.

I looked and saw another bicycle, under the tree where I usually park.

"The person that parked this here is either new or stupid." I said and got off my bicycle.

I moved the bike to the other side of a car which was parked beside it. "I guess we've got new student." I said as I noticed the new blue Hyundai.

I parked my bicycle at my favorite spot and left, rushing for my class. I always miss the assembly, all thanks to being one of the school's prefect, I was never punished.

I got to my class, luckily the teacher wasn't there yet. Everyone in the class looked at me, like always. Like I had a paper on my forehead saying 'stare!'

I sat on my chair and stared outside the window.

"Good morning Teacher." I heard the class say. I looked up and saw the teacher with two new students. A boy and a girl.

"Good morning students, we've got two new members of the class, they are transfer student from Bells College, Lagos." She faced them. "Introduce yourself."

The girl spoke first, "I'm Jare Emmanuel, I love dancing and books." She said grinning widely.

I rolled my eyes."Is that why you have to grin so wide?" I muttered under my breath.

The boy spoke. "I'm Jacob Sanwo, I am mostly called Jake by my former classmates." The boy spoke normal, at least he was not grinning like the girl.

"You can have your seat, Sit anywhere you want."

The boy stared at me and I took my bag and put it on the chair beside me. He smiled and walked closer, then he sat beside Michael, the basket ball captain.

"Better." I muttered.

"Today on our Computer Studies, I've taught you how to create an app." The teacher paused, "Jacob and Jare, have you been taught how to create an application?"

"Yes," They said together and looked at each other, then they chuckled.

"That's good, So for this year's first project, you'd be given a partner." The teacher paused as my classmates started pointing, smiling and winking at themselves. "No, No." She said, stopping the commotion.

"What ma'am?" Lara, the class captain asked.

"Divide yourselves into two groups, Some should stay beside the window while others should stay here." She pointed.

I didn't move from where I sat as I was already beside the window. I groaned internally as I didn't want to do any group work. "Okay, Those beside the window, write your names in a sheet of paper. We'd continue all these tomorrow, right now you have Physical Health Education."

"Yes ma," Everyone said, except me.

We wrote our names on the paper and gave it to the teacher, after which she went out of the class. My classmates rushed out of the class as they all love PHE classes, who doesn't? Everyone except me, it was the class I and my ex best friend loved to go. Keyword loved.

I looked at her as she walked hand in hand with Olamide, my almost boyfriend.

I walked out of the class after I was sure no one could come close to me. I was on my way to my locker when I noticed some student in front of it. I got closer and saw that a boy was bullying another boy. "What's going on here?" I asked loudly.

I looked at the boy who was being bullied, he was in my class. So people still bully seniors, I thought to myself.

"Ade, let the boy go." I said, already getting impatient as people gathered up.

Ade, the big guy looked at me and shook his head "Blue, No. This boy is daring, he went to report me to the principal."

"If you had not done something wrong, he wouldn't report you." I responded.

He looked at me furrowing his brows "Are you supporting the nerd now?"

I shook my head "Don't you get? I'm not supporting anyone, Just let the boy go, he would not report you ever again." I looked at the boy, "Isn't that right?"

The nerdy boy nodded. In normal secondary schools, I don't think smart kids are called nerds, but I tell you, my school isn't normal.

"He's scared to death already." Someone said from the crowd.

Ade looked at me "I'd allow him to go because of you, but warn him next time I might not listen." he said and left with his gangs and soon everyone dispersed slowly.

I opened my locker not minding the stare of the boy. "Thank you." he said.

I gave a small smile and took my sports clothes, then I walked to the changing room.

I stretched my body after the long jogging around the school field and the short notes. I went to the bathroom with my school uniform, showered then I put on my uniform.

I went out of the bathroom, opened the door to go outside then I saw Alia, my ex best friend, rushing into the bathroom with tears in her eyes. I looked at her as she locked the door, I shook my head.

"Once upon a time when I cared, but they made me like this." I muttered and left to my class.

I sat on my chair and took out my phone, it was almost time for lunch. I played my favorite girly game while waiting for the bell. "Hi." I heard.

I turned and looked who was talking, it was the new boy. "Hi." I said and faced my game.

"I'm Jacob, what's your name?" The boy said.

I frowned at him. Boys have started again, this is why I don't talk too often to people, especially that other gender. They can't see a girl and sit somewhere quietly. I rolled my eyes and looked up. "I'm Blue and I don't mean to be rude but I'm busy right now."

"Okay, but-" His words was drowned by the ringing of the bell. I stood up with my bag and went out of the class.

After our last class for the day, I hurriedly rushed to the library to borrow some books for the first class tomorrow. I greeted the librarian and walked to the shelves where the books were arranged.

"Blue." I heard my name. "Hi," I said to the nerdy boy.

"Thanks for the other time." he said. "It's okay," I paused "Sorry, what's your name?"

He smiled sheepishly. "I'm Thomas."

"Okay, see you around." I said, already getting uncomfortable.

I took the books I needed and went to the librarian, he took note of the books and I left.

I got outside to the parking lot and saw the new boy, Jacob on my bike and also Jare looking at him, her back resting on the blue Hyundai.

"The person is not just new, he's also stupid." I said as I walked closer to them.
