As time passed, those who underwent mutations discovered that some of them had significantly better physiques than before. Additionally, some of them could even harness the power of radiation within themselves after adapting to it.

They were walking energy units that could be harnessed in different ways. The radiation was designed so that humans could achieve what would have been considered superhuman abilities in the past.

But humans were not the only ones who mutated; animals that already had a numerical advantage on their side also evolved alongside humans.

That time was a challenging era for humans. They struggled for survival and resources, and they banded together to fight their adversaries.

As time passed, humans began to construct forts in the once-deserted buildings due to radiation, laying the groundwork for future generations.

Those humans who adapted best in a specific direction, such as mutation for enhanced brain function, became leaders, while others who mutated and improved their combat abilities followed suit.

Although human civilization had been abandoned and their future appeared bleak, they still drew from history and avoided the simple mistake of discrimination.

The minuscule human population was more united than ever before, compelled to band together to survive the irradiated world teeming with mutated animals.
