2 They Were Definitely Funny

Nyx Edgecomb was sick of moving around so much. She worked in one place for a few decades before moving on and getting a new fake ID and had since the 1920s when she broke up with Nero Venici. Being the ex of the coven leader was too much pressure for her to bear so she left and discovered that she rather enjoyed human inventions such as movies and novels. 

She got out and stayed out but had to admit that the loneliness got to her sometimes. Fiction couldn't completely fill the void inside of her and she didn't have any real friends to speak of. 

Having occasional conversations with other fae who weren't the judgy types wasn't enough to sustain her. She had met a few other loners, vampire or otherwise, over time but they never stayed in the area long enough for them to actually become friends.
