CHAPTER 16: WHAT IS WRONG WITH WOMEN

"Please do not move," She said pulling herself closer to his body for cover. Jayson's face darkened, what the heck was wrong with these women?

Did she read a lot of R18 novels and now thinks he is that billionaire? To hell with such nonsense. What if she and that driver are working together to gain some publicity?

He looked around to see whether there were any news reporters around but luckily there were none. He became calm and alert after sending Eva's tensed body, the girl was even shaking and Jayson knew she would break down any time.

Eva's mind was in turmoil, she held tightly onto the man's body and her heartbeat increased as she buried herself on his body.

Eva was scared that her life would be hell going back to the pack, she would be a prisoner for life. That had always happened to whoever tried to flee from the pack like she did.

Come to think of it, Alex might turn her into a sex play tool to satisfy his desires, what would come of her if that happened? Would she be able to fight for her sanity as a woman? Alex might even go to the extent of raping her.

'Rape.' At the thought of that word her world crumbled and she knew there was no way to escape rather than asking for the stranger's help.

"He is here," She whispered in fear hoping the man would at least save her. "Count three men from your direction and save me from the fourth man." She said still hugging him from behind.

Jayson's eyes counted the men as instructed and strangely, he knew the fourth man, he was Alexander the Light Pack's Alpha.

"What did you do to him?" He asked unsure of whether to save her or not, Alex was a gentleman for heaven's sake.

"Save me first, I'll give you the honor to know everything afterward." She said with a hint of fear still evident in her tone.

Eva was so stunned that she almost turned to counter the Taxi driver's words. That bastard had just driven her from the Light Pack and was asking for three hundred dollars. Was he insane? That was too much and as far as she was concerned, ten dollars was way too much for his careless ride.

"That man, do not give him that huge amount of money." She paused. "The ride was from Light Pack for goddess's sake," She mumbled and Jayson chuckled lightly.

"Call the police on that man, he went too far to the point of charging excess money to someone he framed of theft."

"Hey, little one, don't hold me anymore. I have nothing to offer you." He said.

"Just save me this once and you'll never see me again." She pleaded.

"Okay, then will you let go of me a little?" He asked. Eva was afraid that he would not have any reason to save her if she let go but having no choice, she let go immediately closing her eyes.

She didn't want to come in eye contact with Alex and she would rather be blind for the rest of her life. That is how disgusted she felt for him.

Eva felt her waist encircled by huge arms and she instantly guessed it was Alex however, the perfume and body scent were nothing close to his. She began to open her eyes slowly and a sigh escaped her lips.

Jayson had carried her in his arms."Stay silent unless you want me to hand you over to Alex." He said and Eva tensed at the mention of that name.

'Silent,' She would rather stay silent than make this man angry. At this point, Eva even suppressed her breath, even breathing could make a sound, she thought.

Jayson who placed her in the back seat of his vehicle noticed how hard she struggled to hold in her breath. "What are you doing? You could die doing that you know." He explained.

" Stop distracting me handsome, even this, is part of staying silent you know." She scoffed and went back to being silent.

"I'd prefer it if you talk then," Jayson said after giving a second thought. "Because that disgusts me more than your voice," I said gesturing for the driver to move it.

"My prince, I think that Alex has been following us all the while." The chauffeur reported looking through the rearview mirror. "He turns in every turn we make my prince." He explained and Jayson's face darkened.

"Why does he want you that bad?" He turned to face Eva.

Out of impulse in fear of being captured by Alex, he gave the response to every noble gentleman with respect for women hated. "Make me his sex toy," She replied turning to look at the vehicles following behind them as the chauffeur had reported but unfortunately, he could see nothing.

"Stop the car, Byron." He said his face darkened. He was angered by Eva's answer.

"P_ please don't hand me over to him, I beg you." Eva was on the verge of breaking down as tears kept rolling nonstop. Jayson could see the sincerity and fear in her eyes. No woman would want to be a sex toy to a man no matter how charming they are unless they were just born for it. (Prostitution)

"Ask him what he wants." His words were precise and clear sending chills down Eva's spine. The fear in her rose tenfold as she secretly struggled to open the vehicle door to free herself before Alex could take her away.

Jayson could see and feel Eva's struggle but he didn't dare stop her. She wouldn't succeed anyway.

"Sir, he is with Gael too, they request a few minutes of the audience with you," Byron replied honestly.

"I'll go see them," Jayson responded even though it would seem fishy. He had never done that, but to save an innocent woman, he would shield her from those powerful prey.

"They are right behind me." Eva who had long sighed hearing Alex would save her froze in place. She was captured and there was nothing she could do to save herself.
