Chapter 5

Bloodseeker landed on the balcony and Sky landed beside him, they began to walk towards the door but their mother Queen Ashkeeper ran out and threw her wings around her two dragonets "oh my babies! I thought you'd never visit!" she cried "it's been, what two days?" Sky said, the armband that protected his mind from his mother finding out his power had a big, deep scratch from squeezing into a small gap to grab something earlier, they walked into the palace "I'll have the Chef make your favorites" said Ashkeeper as they walked into the dining room, the chef almost immediately came out of the kitchen with his favorite, Roasted Pig, he smiled and sat down, as he reached for the pig his armband snapped off, and he thought what would mother say if she found out i was an animus?

She stared at him, he looked at his upper left arm where his armband used to be, he got up and dashed to his room and laid on the bed, curled in his wings, Ashkeeper walked into the room "son, is there something you want to tell me?" "no" he said, shrinking in his wings "Why didn't you tell me? I'm very disappointed in you" she began to walk towards him he hissed and grabbed a rock "i enchant this rock so whoever touches it that ISN'T bloodseeker is teleported to the nightwing throne room" he threw it at his mother and she disappeared.

Sky walked in "How did she find out?" she asked "huh?"he asked, his eyes glazed with something, might it be rage? Anger? Aggression, or simply going...mad? "You would never cast a spell with her around unless...she found out" she walked to him and hugged him "she read my mind, my armband had snapped off as i was wondering what she would do…" he began to sob "she's going to take my soul...." "she won't, i'll make sure of that" she promised "follow me, i have a friend waiting outside" he nodded and followed her quickly.

On one of the landing pads, there was a nightwing/skywing/icewing "this is Stock, he's going to help us, we are going to my father's home, where she cant follow, right stock?" sky looked at stock as he nodded "But what about the great ice cliff? I'm fully Nightwing, I can't cross it" worry lingered in Bloodseeker's eyes as he looked at the two Hybrids "don't worry little Brother! If you stay close to me, the cliff wont shoot at you, it's what my father did for mother, well, that's what she told me'' she lifted off, stock following, he took a deep breath and followed, in the distance he could see the Mountains of morning, where his beloved waited for him to arrive.
