Feelings

Melda had just finished her warm shower, cocooning herself in a plush bathrobe that enveloped her in a comforting embrace. The soft, freshly laundered fabric clung to her skin, a sanctuary of warmth after the soothing cascade of water. She emerged from the bathroom with so much satisfaction, only to be greeted by an unexpected knock on her door. Before she could utter a response, the door swung open, and there stood Harvey, his gaze locking onto Melda's figure.

His eyes couldn't help but linger on her, captivated by her beauty. Her skin, aglow with a natural radiance, appeared soft and inviting. The shoulder-length hair, now slightly damp, caught the light, creating a halo effect that complemented her fresh complexion. But it was her eyes, a mesmerizing shade of emerald, that held him captive—deep, mysterious, and brimming with warmth and curiosity.

As Harvey stood there, completely mesmerized by Melda's presence, her calm voice jolted him back to reality. "Finished gawking?" she quipped, a playful undertone in her words.

"Uh... um," Harvey stumbled, momentarily caught off guard by her enchanting aura before regaining his composure. "Can we like, have a real chat?"

Imelda didn't even flinch at his words as if they were just another drop in the ocean. Harvey had always yearned for a real heart-to-heart chat with her, a chance to truly understand Imelda. The sooner he could unravel the mysteries surrounding her, the sooner this charade would come crashing down.

Imelda looked at Harvey, a hint of curiosity in her voice. "About me?" she asked, as she walked towards the walk-in closet to change. Harvey, on the other hand, found himself at a loss for words. His gaze remained fixed on her as if he were trapped in a mesmerizing spell. Harvey's mind was spinning with a whirlwind of emotions, caught off guard by this unexpected attraction. 'Why does she look so stunning even in a bathrobe?' he pondered, a mix of excitement and uncertainty swirling within him. It was a completely new experience for him and he couldn't help but wonder, 'Could Imelda be my bride? She's so mysterious, and I want to unravel every bit of her story.'

"Hello!!!!!!" Imelda exclaimed, snapping Harvey back to reality. She stood at the entrance of her walk-in closet, facing him directly. Harvey felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him, prompting him to cough awkwardly before responding.

"You're right, Imelda. I apologize if I've been getting on your nerves. I genuinely want to get to know you better," Harvey admitted, his voice filled with sincerity.

'I don't need your damn apology.' Imelda held back the urge to say those words, but her expression revealed her thoughts. She looked at Harvey, trying to gather her thoughts before breaking the silence with a direct question, "Do you have feelings for me?"

Harvey's heart skipped a beat as he wasn't prepared for that question. He felt a strange mix of emotions tonight, starting with being captivated by Imelda's appearance and now this direct question. It left him feeling a bit unsettled, unsure of what was truly going on. Did he genuinely like her? Harvey's thoughts were in disarray, but he knew he had to stay composed and not let it show.

Taking a deep breath, Harvey responded, "Yeah, I do." He chose to lie, believing it might help Imelda relax and feel more at ease. But deep down, he couldn't help but wonder if he was lying to her or to himself. It was a question that lingered in his mind, causing a hint of uncertainty.

Imelda let out a little chuckle before she headed into the closet to change. When she emerged, she was wearing the cutest blue pajamas with white spots all over. She looked absolutely adorable! As she walked out, Harvey was already sitting in the armchair, eagerly waiting for her.

Imelda plopped down on the chair beside Harvey, and as soon as her bottom touched the seat, she wasted no time in speaking her mind. "You don't have to lie to me. I don't think you really like me."

Harvey's gaze shifted towards the petite woman in front of him, completely lost in his own world. He couldn't help but fixate on her lips, wondering what they might taste like. Her presence had him completely distracted.

'Ahhh..focus Harvey!' He mentally scolded himself trying to regain focus before responding.

"Imelda, I really do like you. You're such a beautiful lady. Who wouldn't want you?."

A soft smile graced her lips as she gazed at the man before her. Deep down, she had a strong conviction that he was lying, and she was determined to make her point.

"Alright then, prove it," she challenged, her eyes locked with his, her unwavering gaze conveying her determination.

Harvey was taken aback once more by her words, but he knew he had to play along if he wanted her to believe him. Leaning in closer, his breath mingled with hers as he tenderly brushed aside the strands of hair that framed her delicate face. Cupping her cheeks in his hands, he couldn't help but admire the softness of her skin. Their connection grew stronger, their hearts beating in sync. Just as their lips were about to meet in a passionate embrace, an abrupt knock shattered the moment, leaving them both startled. Frustration welled up inside Harvey, his voice tinged with anger as he demanded, "Who the heck is that?!"
