Bloodline Chapter 5: Atsuro

Kazumi woke up in the same black room as his dream, and just like last time he heard the same whistling. Kazumi followed the noise until he finally reached the metal bars. Kazumi jumped backward as he heard

"You're a stronger vessel than I expected" Kazumi looked around rapidly, trying to Identify what was speaking to him. Kazumi's heart started racing, he felt like he was going insane. Kazumi eventually caught his breath and turned around toward the metal cage, he found himself looking directly into two massive red eyes. Kazumi stood in place, he felt frozen to the spot. The red eyes pressed up against the cage and Kazumi finally caught a glimpse of whose eyes these were. An enormous red dragon peered down at Kazumi with its wings at full spread. Kazumi said to himself over and over that it was just a dream,

"You're not real", Kazumi said.

"I am, and you'll have to accept me sooner or later" the dragon said. Kazumi was slapping himself trying to get back into reality but nothing was working.

"People are scared of us," The dragon said, seriously. And then suddenly, Kazumi felt a sharp pain in his arm and the black room melted away, but instead of being in a bed, he was in a cage of his own. he jumped on to his feet and ran toward the metal bar but he was pulled back by an abnormally strong force behind him.

"So your finally awake, huh?" said a deep voice behind Kazumi. The figure emerged from behind the pole in the middle of the room, it was a large man with baggy clothes and a calm look on his face, Kazumi, confused, said

"Where am I?, What happened?"

"We'll have to explain that on the way," The man said.

"Wait why am I in chains?" Kazumi said, the man quickly responded with

"You my friend are going to be, publicly executed-" Kazumi's stomach dropped,

"Wait wha-" the man interrupted him quickly and said

"People think that you're power is too dangerous and needs to be put to an end, I think differently, I think that you can be useful to us" Kazumi's eyes were about to pop out of their sockets, he kept trying to remember what happened that could have caused this. He closed his eyes trying to remember and then suddenly some of it came back to him, he was fighting that smug kid and then everything went black. Kazumi was still trying to process why he was locked up but it was too late the man pushed two massive doors open to a huge courthouse. Kazumi looked to both sides of him only to see crowds of people giving awful stares and screaming at Kazumi, Kazumi felt a smack as a tomato slammed into him

"SILENCE!!!" Kazumi looked up at the person who had just spoken, and saw that it was a large man with a massive white beard.

"I am minister Akatazu the head of the military government,.....today we will be addressing the power of the boy standing before me, Kazumi Tatsuya, who has been sentenced to death" The crowd cheered and screamed. Kazumi yelled

"Wait I didn't-"

"SILENCE!" the old man screamed again

"Even though this boy does have the power of Atsuro, he might be useful to us against our common enemy,... The Void Company,"

"I wonder if he has the emperors eye ?" said someone in the crowd

"Can he breathe fire?" another person said, Kazumi felt like he was a fly being swatted by 50 people at once, then he started to think about how they knew about the dragon inside him, and why they said it was called Atsuro. Kazumi's head was spinning, he looked up and screamed in anger,

"CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON!" the whole crowd went silent in a matter of seconds, Kazumi was still fuming when he heard

"Sir, Kazumi was unaware of the power the sword possessed. If anything, I brought this upon him by giving him the sword, I'm to blame not him.", It was Asashi looking up to the minister in anguish. The minister replied,

"I understand that this power may not be his fault but never the less he is too dangerous."

Asashi then said, "What about the Void Company, Kazumi could be the force that turns the tide if he is trained well."

"Hmm... that is true, I will discuss this with the members of my council and deliver my verdict within the hour." The minister said, deep in thought. He walked out of the stands, followed by five others who were wrapped in cloaks. The screaming continued as soon as the Minister left. Kazumi felt both confused and terrified.

An hour later the Minister returned and a silence fell over the room.
