1 Chap 1- A New Journey

In Denpasar, Sanglah General Hospital, a sweet cherry voice resonated, enveloping the room. The voice belonged to a woman in her twenties, adorned in a long white-sleeved robe.

Her fair hands clutched a pen and a notepad, poised to jot down any relevant information.

With her bold crystal hair cascading down her back in a long braid and her deep crimson eyes intently scanning the young man lying in the hospital bed before her, she exuded an air of warmth and compassion.

"How are you feeling, young master?" she inquired, her gaze unwavering. The young man appeared slightly bewildered as he met her gaze, his voice tinged with confusion.

As his eyes swept across the room and settled upon the woman, he struggled to comprehend the circumstances unfolding around him.

While the woman's beauty and amiable presence were not lost on him, his attention was drawn to the stark white ceiling above, the unadorned patient attire he wore, and the basket brimming with fresh fruits resting on the nearby table.

His gaze then shifted towards the expansive transparent window, offering a glimpse of the bustling urban cityscape beyond, as well as the modern furnishings adorning the room.

The woman's attire further emphasized the disparity between this era and the one he had known before, a jarring reminder of the vast temporal shift he had experienced.

"You're in the hospital, young master Desmond. We discovered you unconscious on the rooftop, prompting an immediate police response and subsequent evacuation of the crime scene-

"-You were swiftly transported here for medical care," the woman explained, deftly tending to various medical tasks while making notations related to his condition.

She paused briefly, her gaze fixed upon him, and then proceeded to delicately touch his face before gently lowering his eyelids.

"You've been in a coma for three months, young master. I've also contacted your family, who should be arriving soon. Please attempt to move your body and inform me if you experience anything unusual."

Desmond remained perplexed by his current circumstances.

His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, grappling with the notion of this new world, memories of the AI companion who had aided him in his previous realm, the people he had left behind, and an array of other considerations.

Suddenly, an overwhelming sadness washed over him, causing the once-spacious room to feel stifling and suffocating. His lungs tightened, leaving him gasping for air.

Tears welled up, clouding his vision as his emotions threatened to consume him. Observing his distressed state, the woman's concern deepened.

Why? Why am I crying? Is it because I've left them behind? Has this feeling already breached my emotional threshold? he pondered, the pain and heaviness in his heart intensifying.

For a brief moment, his vacant gaze stared off into nothingness until the woman's presence snapped him back to reality.

He peered at her, and in that instant, her face seemed to morph into a faint semblance of a young lady he had known in his previous world.

The maelstrom within him persisted for another minute before gradually subsiding, replaced by a newfound calm. His heart rate slowed, and the tidal wave of emotions gradually receded, as if they had never existed.

Take a deep breath. I have returned. The past is behind me, and it is only through movement that the future can take shape, he mused, finding solace in his newfound acceptance of the situation.

With a resolute determination, he resolved to follow the instructions of the woman he had come to know as Doctor Alice.

He gingerly flexed his arms and attempted to rotate his body while testing the limited mobility of his toes.

The muscles and joints responded weakly, resisting his commands and sporadically twitching in an uncontrolled manner. This unfamiliar sensation left him profoundly uncomfortable in his own skin.

"Doctor Alice," he called out suddenly, catching the physician off guard. Startled, she turned to face him, her heart skipping a beat as his pupils narrowed into slits, and his iris and pupil transformed into a striking magenta hue.

She froze, her hands, which had been exploring his body, froze in place, and she instinctively withdrew, wrapping her arms around herself, consumed by fear.

His mouth opened to utter words, but no sound emerged. His vision blurred, and a heavy drowsiness overcame him, as if he were being swallowed by darkness.

This unsettling sensation felt all too familiar, triggering a sense of déjà vu. Just as he attempted to shake off this disconcerting feeling, a faintly recognizable screen materialized, obscuring his vision once more.

Oh, not you again! Give me a damn break! He cursed inwardly, frustration seeping through his thoughts.

Aware of what was about to transpire, he summoned all his willpower and managed to forcefully break free from this disorienting state, his eyes half-opened.

"Doctor Alice, inform my family to search for someone experiencing the same condition as me! If they find them, detain them as long as possible and wait for me to awaken!" he bellowed with the remaining strength within him.

Doctor Alice, clearly flustered, yearned to learn more details, but time was mercilessly slipping away.

Within the vast expanse of an empty void, darkness reigned supreme, punctuated only by scattered points of light.

Then, in an instant, one of those points gleamed intensely, casting its luminous radiance throughout the space before gradually dimming, its size expanding until it was as large as a hand.

Ah, damn it all! Couldn't I get a warning? I've just awakened from a damn coma! Desmond grumbled inwardly, though the AI or System that had aided him in the past paid no mind to his outburst.

Wait, what's this peculiar sensation? As he pondered, the darkness that had shrouded his vision gradually yielded to an orange glow emanating from a small dot in the corner. The brilliance intensified, and a new scene materialized before his eyes.

Thousand Illusionary Sect, Upper Area, Distinguished Guests Area,

Within an expansive chamber adorned with intricately carved wooden artwork, a painting depicting a majestic bird and a figure gracefully treading upon a sword, as if suspended in flight, adorned the walls.

An ethereal blue energy permeated the surroundings, suffusing even the moon itself—a familiar energy reminiscent of the world in which he had been reborn, albeit with a serene blue hue.
