Secret compartment

Danny stared down and then the tears came rolling, danny who had never cried in his life cried today.he held on tighter to his father's body while crying quietly and without sound and then the tears stopped danny stared at his father some more and then stood up and started searching his father's desk.

danny knew his father he was peace loving,gentle,kind and smart, his father would have anticipated such a move and must have accepted his fate. he didn't have to search for long before he found the secret compartment; a fake candle holder which actually opened a small secret compartment; in the secret compartment were two things a letter and a locket. danny recognised the locket and immediately put it on; it contained a picture of his dad, his mom and him and then he opened the letter, he wasn't surprised just as he expected his father had anticipated and expected the massacre but that wasn't the only thing in the letter, his father told him to lay low and live for the rest of them who had died, his father told him not to blame the vampire king but the vampires instead, and finally his father made him promise to go with the vampire king when he came for him for he had begged the vampire king to spare him just as danny finished reading the letter he heard sounds of horses and knew that a carriage had pulled up outside the house.

danny slowly stepped out of his parents room and into the hallway when he heard footsteps coming and there in all his glory was the vampire king not even a blind man would mistake him for another.

The first thing danny noticed was that the vampire king had deep red eyes that changed colors regularly to an electric blue and sometimes black which puzzled him greatly, the king had a sharp defined jaw and very long pitch black hair, accompanied by a tall stature.

The king was in one word drop dead gorgeous. danny quickly noticed that the king was a smoker and that the king must have dyed his hair black. the king was still staring at him quietly with a puzzled look. well ain't this lovely danny thought and then on second thoughts he rolled his eyes.
