CH25:HUMILIATION

The alarms in the base went off at 8pm, signifying that it was time for everyone to have their meals. All the teens moved out in their friend circles and headed to the main dining hall.

Once there, they found different looking tables that had different set up for the students. The tables were separated in five and it worked in a way where the strongest got the best meals.

1-2 had the poorest looking meals while 9-10 had the best. This, of course, was orchestrated by the military, as a way to boost the teens into growing stronger so that they could have better benefits. They thought this was going to plan out well, but not everyone was happy with this way of doing things.

Ace, who greatly despised this way of thinking, was actually thankful for being one of the weakest in the entire base. For one, he didn't have to be close to Jason or the others, he didn't have to be around his roommates and he didn't have to socialize. The one bad thing was that he and Sky, the only low levels in the entire base, got bullied mercilessly by everyone.

Those who could threw food and trash at them while others verbally abused them. Ace was used to such treatment and it wasn't new to him but Sky, who hadn't been bullied before, was deeply angered by it and yet she couldn't do anything about it.

"Don't let it get to you, Sky." Ace said as he slurped on the cold, droopy bowl of soup with sloppily chopped carrots. "You'll only give them more motive if you pay any attention to them."

"What?" Sky asked in disgust. "I can't just sit here while they eat like kings. They're going to mock us forever. I can't live like this." Sky was about to stand up and do whatever she thought was right but Ace held her by the hand and said, "If you dare to do anything, you'll humiliate yourself terribly."

"Pshh. Fine, whatever." Sky said as she went back to her meal. Looking at the soup drove her to a state of rage but she didn't show it on her face.

"Hahaha. Couple of weaklings enjoying their soup."

"Aww, they're so cute together. Weak orange head and pathetic girl enjoying their slop."

"So pathetic." Lilly said as she snuck from behind and poured another bowl of soup on Ace. The whole dining room was roaring in laughter as Lilly was hailed for humiliating Ace. The boy's wet hair covered his eyes but from the corner of his eye, he was Roy and Steven pointing as they laughed at him uncontrollably.

Sky watched in utter fear at what would have happened if it was her but more importantly, she was amazed at how calm and collected Ace was. She glared at Lilly's way for a quick second and felt a bone chilling aura coming from the ice cold smile she had on her face. Her calm but proud, arrogant composure brought a sickening feeling in the deep, pits of Sky's soul.

'How could one be so beautiful and yet so cold?' She wondered. Lilly glared back at her with a face of disgust and said, "Are you two pathetic excuses of humans really dating?"

"Err…No. He's…he's my friend." She replied.

"Figures. Even his taste in women is pathetic."

"What did you call me?" Sky got tipped over and released all the anger she was holding back. She slowly but angrily got up from her sit and stood face-to-face with Lilly. Their eyes were already at battle while both girls fantasized beating each other up to a pulp.

"Hah. I didn't give you permission to stand this close to me."

"I didn't ask for your opinion, b*tch." Sky replied. Lilly's cocky smile turned into a frown as everyone else went silent from Sky's remark.

"What the hell did you call me?"

"Did I stutter?" Sky replied. "I called you a b*tch. A self-absorbent, miserable, selfish, petty, good for nothing b*tch."

Lilly's eyes glowed brightly as a blue sword formed from thin air. Her special universal ability was energy manipulation. She could gather energy from anywhere and use it in whichever way she liked and right now, she made it into a double edged, diamond shaped sword.

She flipped it over and bumped the hilt of the sword on Sky's forehead. To any ordinary person, it may have seemed like a simple bump but Lilly used her sword to suck energy out of Sky. She also used a lot of energy on that simple bump, causing Sky to crash through the desks and leave a gaping hole of herself in the walls.

Lilly walked over to her as her sword disappeared and said, "A simple level two weakling like you cannot handle my power, so its best you back off and go back into whatever hole you crawled out off, b*tch." With a quick kick to Sky's stomach, Lilly walked away with her entourage following her.

Like nothing happened, everyone returned to whatever they were doing and no one cared to help Sky up, except for one person. "I told you you'll humiliate yourself." Ace said as he stretched out his soup hands to help Sky up. "You should have just staid quiet. Or at least fought back."

"I can't." She replied with a wince in her voice. Her body aced terribly, but she didn't suffer anything more than a few bruises and swellings. "Although I'm a body cultivator, I cannot transform any part of my body into anything else. It's been like this ever since I was given the serum."

"Well, Sky." Ace said as he removed the rubble and wooden shards off her. "I'll take you up on your offer about us sticking together. Also, we have to do something about your non-transforming thing."

"And what about you. You've got a lot to fix."

"Haha, Sky," Ace cackled with his head hung. "There's a lot about me you don't know. Stick with me and you'll find out soon enough."

"Ohh thank you, Ace." Sky replied with a tight hug. Ace's body tingled as he felt Sky's chest press against his. His imagination began running wild, and before he knew it, a certain someone wanted to get up.

"Err…don't mention it." He said as he gently pushed her away and put his hands in front of him. "We'll start first thing tomorrow morning. Now's not a good time."
