Chapter-28<New Power-3>

When Fabian killed that those perverted men he felt that his hunger was being sated little by little. And finally, as he killed that third man he felt that he was not hungry anymore. But why was it that he didn't drink the blood of those people? Then how come his hunger was sated?

Now as he was thinking about it, Fabian remembered that before hunting those rabbits he was feeling as though he had not had anything to eat for the past few days. But after he killed those rabbits he calmed down a little bit.

Fabian then started thinking and made a theory. His theory was that maybe all of this had something to do with the inheritance of the ghost. After all, he didn't what was his inheritance. All Fabian had was this ring on his finger. Maybe all of this was because of the ring. He had to do some research about the ring to make sure but for now Fabian was sure that his sudden change in food preference was because of the ring.

But now the question was how the ring actually worked. He got the idea that the ring must work when he kills something. The rabbits and the teenager that he killed didn't give him a lot of energy. While two perverts and that man gave him a lot of energy. Why was that?

As Fabian started thinking about it, he came up with a bunch of theories. He started to think that maybe the amount of energy per kill was dependent on the power of the victim. Or perhaps on the age of the victim.

From what Fabian knows, the horned rabbits lived up to 10 years and then they die from old age. While the teenager was around 18 years old. In both these cases, the victim had not lived more than 20 years. Maybe that could be the reason for which they in both cases he received little energy.

This seemed to be a very feasible explanation. All the three guys that provided him with a lot of energy were all in their middle ages. That could explain why they provided him with a good amount of energy…

But it was then Fabian suddenly realized that he was wrong. If this theory of was his was indeed true then the family of rabbis should be given him a lot of energy. He was not an expert on animals but he could bet that the combined age of all the rabbits that he caught was more than 40. And if his theory was indeed true then those rabbits should have provided him with a lot of energy.

Then Fabian started thinking that maybe strength or power could be the factor here. Those three men that gave him a lot of energy were indeed very strong than most of his victims. The only reason they were killed was because of superhuman senses and healing factors. Otherwise, he would have been dead by now.

So Fabian came up with a theory that maybe the energy provided to him by the people that he kills is dependent on the power or strength that person possesses. Stronger his victim is, stronger would be the energy provided by them…

There were a lot of things that Fabian didn't know about this world. Even his body was a mystery to him. As he was lying on the bed he started thinking about the life that he had before he turned into a vampire. He lived a life of oppression and depression. But at least he was able to sleep peacefully then as he didn't have too many things to worry about. But now everything was different…

While lying on the bed, Fabian took out the ring that he took from the vampire's corpse. It was a small golden ring with no sort of engraving on it. It was just a smooth ring that looked like a normal gold ring. Fabian was thinking about selling this ring tomorrow. That way he would be able to pay for a bed tomorrow.

Back at home, he had some coins that he could have used to get by. But now as he was here he didn't have anything. And really irritated him…

It was then Fabian had a sudden thought. He had his fair share of rich kids. Even for a minute, those kids didn't feel behind to show off their wealth. Even the old men and women from rich families were the same.

He was puzzled that the vampire that was killed by the ghost, he seems really strong. And he was definitely way stronger than Fabian himself. But then why a guy with his stature was wearing a simple gold ring? This ring doesn't seem that valuable. Even this gold is made of pure gold, this was still considered and pretty normal ring for a guy like him.

So that made Fabian think….

Was this a normal ring?

Fabian then abruptly got up. He remembers that the inheritance of the ghost changed its color as Fabian wore the ring. So without any further thought, Fabian wore the golden ring. And as soon as he did he did start sensing something.

Fabian started sensing something very weird. He started feeling as though there was hair on the back of his head. He could feel the presence of the hair. But for some reason, he was not able to touch or cut the hair.

Fabian but then didn't lose any hope. He knew that this weird feeling was related to the golden ring in his hand. So he started concentrating on that feeling while closing his eyes and as he did, something else happened.

He started sensing all these things. He started sensing some fancy clothes. There was this armor, some books, a lot of money and there were some weird-looking herbs. Fabian opened his eyes and saw that there was no such thing in front of him. So why the hell was he able to sense them?
