“A painful past"

We went inside the coffee shop. We ordered a cappuccino. She told me that she is a temporary teacher and soon she will resign. I remained quiet. She said, "I was joined as a teacher because I want to figure out something so bitter but unfortunately I can't find anything related to what I want".

I was puzzled that what she was talking about. She continued speaking. She further told that She was living with her brother and mother. They were living happily and she was so attached to her brother but one day something unfortunate happened. Her brother went silent.

He wasn't sharing anything with her. He didn't eat anything, it felt like he was stressed about something. She tried to ask him but he tell her nothing. She tried to ask his best friend. He told her that her brother was in trouble. He was involved in something that he shouldn't have.

Instead of telling her more about the incident, her brother's friend gave her a box. There was some picture inside it. He told her to ask her brother about it. She went home and asked her brother what was the matter. Everything was tense. Her brother screamed at her. He never talked with her like that. When she grabbed his collar and asked her more strictly than she told her everything.

He said to her, "I fell in love with a girl. She was kind beautiful and lonely. Her name was Liliana. At the start my love was one-sided but as we spent time together she fell in love with me too. Everything was going well until her brother knew about our relationship."

"I didn't know that her brother was a mafia guy and he was so possessive of his sister. He warned us but we didn't listen to him. One day we were walking together as always but there was a car that was about to hit a child, My love, Liliana got hit in front of my eyes. I was helpless. My brain stopped working. I became numb. she was bleeding. She took her last breath in my arms."

"When her brother knew about the incident he was broken. She was his only family. He blamed me for all of this. I also blamed myself. It was all my fault I can save her but I didn't. Now her brother wanted me to die too. He appeared in front of me daily he made to realize my fault daily."

Veronica said, "I had no words after hearing all of that I was speechless. My brother opened the box He showed me pictures of him with that girl. They were looking beautiful together".

"After two days of this conversation my brother went missing and the next day his dead body was found. My mother passed out after hearing about my brother's death. I believe behind this mysterious death of my brother there was something that was connected with ith mafia guy."

Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She was crying again. I was watching her helplessly. I wanted to take away her pain but there wasn't anything that I can do to help her. Staring at her made me cry too. I was crying. people were looking at us.

I asked Veronica about what she wanted to find and How can I help her. She was telling me not to get involved with her as it's risky. That mafia guy can harm me too. Suddenly a guy wearing full black, having a handsome personality, tall, long messy hai and fascinating face with a cold stare came and sat beside me.

Veronica was looking at him as if she knew him. I was curious who was that person. Why Veronica was looking at him as if she wanted to kill him? What's the relation between them?
