Chapter 15

It has been a week since I came here in Spain and in this whole damn week I haven't been able to gather much courage to come to this same cementary that my brother and Cam where buried at. The dew of the grass wetted the leather boots that I have worn as I passed through it and in the far distance you could see there was fog covering most of the tombstones making it a seem like a horror movie film, the only thing that was missing was something scary to pop up.

I walked slowly my hands wrapped around my body as held onto two roses as I got closer to there headstones and there it was. Perfectly engraved by there names. The parents of Cam actually agreed for Cammy to be buried next to my brother and my mother obviously offered to pay for their transport whenever they would like to agree to came back here.

I removed my dark sunglasses from my eyes as I looked at my brother's headstone and lean down so I could remove the dried leaves that were covering his names.

Micage Zayn Valkov

- Loving son, brother and husband-to-be.

The last part was my mother's doing, her way to honour what he meant to Cammy. My mum told me that Zayn already proposed to Cam a few months before their death and it just broke me knowing they weren't able to live the lives they wanted to.

My eyes drifted to the plot next to my brother's, where an identical stone marked her final resting place. In the same font as Zayn's headstone read,

Cammila Suèze Santèna,

- Loving daughter, sister and wife-to-be.

I always thought of her as a sister than a friend, she had always been there for me when I needed her and now it's because of me that she's a pile of bones under me.

I knelt down placing a rose at each tombstone as a tear feel onto my brother's grave. "I never had the courage to come here because I know its because of me your here. Maybe if I didn't escape you would have been kicking some asses and having fun." I stiffed a sob as I continued to dust off his headstone.

"I miss you. Really. We never even had a proper conversation the last time we had an opportunity." My lips trembled as I looked at the both headgraves. "You know now I can kick asses real hard this time and I promise you I will get revenge for the both of you. Just wait and see, whoever did this will be crying for mercy at my feet."

I stood up my face emotionless as I put back my sun glasses and just looked down at the headstones. I wish life was simple. I wish the world did hold the harted and revenge it had, that's what kills most of the people.

"Miss? Am sorry to disturb you but this is urgent." Daniella held for me her phone and I rolled my eyes seeing its Roman who's calling. I specifically turned off my phone so that he wouldn't bother me and it worked but now his also pastering Daniella.

I took the phone from here and she left before I barked to the phone, "What?"

"Why on earth did you turn off your phone? Do you know how long have been trying to get a hold of you?" Roman growled making me scowl at the phone, "no, please enlighten me. How fucking did you waste your precious time?" I asked sarcastically earning an animalic growl from him.

"Your fucking vacation is over, come back to London as soon as you can and this time its a fucking order."

"What right do you have in ordering me around? Remember am not one of your minions you could order around." I said lowly into the phone. "Just fucking come back, Katerlina. This is urgent and if its because of the whole marriage proposal deal its settled, your not getting married without your decision."

He sounded alarmed and really desparate. "What's going on?" I asked calmly trying to figure him out. "Just come back and I will explain everything to you when your here." I agreed ending the call and looked down at the headstones one more time before I went back to my car.

It took a lot of convicing that my mother finally accepted for me to go back to London even though I knew it broke her heart knowing what I was going back to. The flight to London was uneventful and I let out a sigh as I reached apartment.

"Shit! At least inform me that your in my place." I yelled shouted at my brother as I found him empting my bar-like kitchen. "Hi, Michael, nice seeing you budging in my apartment." I greeted sarcastically to Michael and he held a middle finger for me finishing his drink.

"Come, let's talk privately." Roman said leading the way to my bedroom and I followed him. "How do you have a key to my apartment?" I questioned him seeing a key on the counter, "I'm a fucking boss remember." He bragged and I noted to myself to change the locks of this place.

"Okey, what's so urgent that you had me come back here?" I asked him impatiently wanting for him to cut the chase already. "Dad is being transfered tomorrow evening to Mexico."

Okey, that's not what I expected. "What? Are sure?" I asked still not believing this is happening. "I just found out and we have to fucking get him out of there before its too late." I looked at him as if his kidding. "Are you freaking mad! Am sure there will be, I don't know lots of fucking trucks filled up with the cops. How will we be able to get him out of there if we won't be able to even escape."

He pinched the bridge of his nose pacing around the room. "I know. I know it will be hard but we have to at least try. I know he wasn't there for you when you were growing up, hell I even know maybe deep down in your guts you hate him for what he did to you but he is the man who brought me up. You know how much he means to me."

I could almost hear see the vulnerablity in my brother's state. He was desparate, I know that feeling, to save your loved one and coming out from him seeing his pleading for me to help him, he seems really genuine.

I let out a sigh as I slummed myself on my bed. "I promised you that I will help and so I will but Roman, this isn't like the shoot out you always get yourself into. Its the freaking big cops, if we get caught game's over. There will be nothing. Kabesh!.....We need help, from someone more powerful."

"I know that's why I already got help." I looked at him so he could say the person but he only pursed his lips. "Well, fucking tell me. Who is it?" I asked him impatiently.

"Quinn Linch." I looked at him as if his grown horns or even more than that and opened my mouth then closed it again, the words refusing to come out.

"I know you have a history with him but he will be of real help. Luis even-" I cut him off before he could even finish. "What does Luis even have to do with this. Your putting a lot of trust into that dude, for all I know his cunning like a fox, he can backstab you any moment."

"He might be cunning but his also good to what he does and Quinn is the fucking law in America. His fucking respected and feared in that place, so him helping us is a good advantage to us."

I swear I felt like snapping his neck right now. Is he really this desparate to get his father, well our father. "Did Quinn even agree to help you?" I asked and he nodded with a sly smirk. Of course he would accept. "Actually, he was the one who offered the help. He was there when I was discussing the problem with Luis."

"Ugh! Roman, you know I need to stay the fuck away from that guy. I really don't want my past to come back to me." I complained to him and really a fun in this plan of his. "Just ignore him the whole way but please don't backout in this."

I nibbled my lip running my hand continuously through my hair. "You owe me one because I swear if we get out of there alive, you will probably pray that you could have died in the progress."

"I highly doubt that. Be ready the plane is waiting for us in an hour." He said leaving and I groaned lying on my bed. Again, I have to meet that handsome jack.

"Daniella!" I yelled and not a moment passed by before she entered my bedroom. "Daniella, I need you to call a maid to pack my things ready for the next flight." I said lazy to do anything and she nodded ready to leave, "have Roman and Michael already left?" I asked peeling off my jacket and she nodded again before she left.

I drank some bourbon neat while I watched the maid scramble to pack my clothes. Unfortunately Olympia went back to work for Roman and I was left with this other maid. "Don't fucking pack my lingerie. Are you insane? Do you think am going to jump in bed while am in a mission?" I growled as the maid flinched when I spoke. I shook my head of any thoughts that where trying to come as I received an incoming call.

"What now? I'm already packing." I growled over the phone not happy that I will be soon in the same place as Quinn when I tried so much to get away from him. "Something has come up. I will meet you there tomorrow but the plane is still waiting for you." I heard some ruffling in the other side as Roman spoke.

"Fine, whatever." I hunged up not bothering what he would say next. I sighed and pulled on a black hoddie over my crop top and jeans. I changed out of my heeled boots and into my trainers.

I slipped into my red Ferrari looked at the setting sun through the tinted windows. Daniella promptly took a seat beside me and strapped herself in. I don't know why but my stomach kept on chugging in an unusual way, maybe because it sensed something really bad is about to happen.

I don't even know what I should feel right now. I mean am about to save the man that I had no clue about because my whole childhood was nothing but a facade.

I turned on the ignition to the car and felt the thrilling purr of the engine. I pushed my foot down and floored the car to its destination. Perhaps this is as free as I will ever feel. I winded the streets and along empty roads. I was breaking every law yet I evaded justice.

Upon arriving at the private airport, I exited my car. My mid back length hair fluttered across my face as I failed to it into a ponytail. My brother doesn't own this place so where did this damn GPS take me too.

Daniella got my suitcases out from the boot, one of the suitcases mostly filled with weapons. Always have to be fucking prepared. Daniella stopped at the bottom of the stairs, motioning me upwards. I don't know why but I think she knows something that I don't.

I looked at the plain once again and my mouth parted noticing this isn't even a plane that my family owns instead it is his. A bird was painted along the side. Unlike its real-life equivalent, the caricature made the creature artistically fierce. With gray head, white cheeks and a black bib, it appeared more predator than prey. The open beak covered the very front while its piercing dark eye surronded the window to the cockpit.

This isn't just any logo, its the Linch's logo. I can recognise it from anywhere because have worked for his company for an year and this logo is the same fucking one as the one he uses to represent his things, what he owns. And this means this plane is his.

This plane is for fucking Quinn Linch. I knew that I would see him but not this soon and because am already here I can't just go back.

Each step was harder than the one before. As my stomach twisted, I decided finding a restroom was my first priority before we took off. What little breakfast I'd eaten many hours ago was moving precariously upward as the taste of bile bubbled in my throat.

"Welcome, Ms Valkov," a woman in uniform said as I stepped inside from the sunshine. "I'm your pilot today, Marianne McGee." She lifted her hand to the right, away from the cockpit, "this is Zara and Keaton, your flight attendants for today's flight."

"Hello," they said in unison and my stomach twisted again seeing that Quinn always flies around with these hot flight attendants.I looked around seeing the opulence of the aircraft. There was a shiny round table, large by any standard with six seats as well as two along the side facing one another. Beyond the table was a wall with openings on either side but he wasn't anywhere.

I don't know if I should be feeling disappointed or relieved. As I gazed the direction she'd pointed, Zara spoke, "may I show you around?"

Swallowing the bad taste, I shoke my head no, "I only need the restroom where is it?" I asked politely and she gave me her customary smile and she lead for me the way. "After you're settled, let me know what we can bring you." She pointed to a keypad and screen on the wall, "you can reach us there."

I entered the washroom seeing it was regal, complete with a golden faucent in the sink and lever on the commode. I leaned on the edge of the sink and stared into the lit mirror. My brown eyes gazed back at me as the colour drained from my cheeks. I was panicking. I really don't know how to act in this situations. What would a normal person do? Run away or face their fate.

That thought was the last straw as my head grew heavy, the small room blurred and my legs turned to jelly. Falling to my knees, I managed to get my head over the commode ad the bile I'd been fighting won the battle. I should have eaten lunch.

My stomach contracted as I spat the nasty-tasting liquid, emptying the contents of my body shivered as I laid my head down, my arms resting upon the toilet seat.

Time passed, but I wasn't sure how much or how long until a knock on the door caused me to open my eyes. "Ms. Valkov, Marianne has complicated her checklist. She's ready to take off if you are?" On my shaky legs, I stood.

Surprised, my reflection looked better, though my makeup was smudged and hair tousled, there was once again natural colour in my cheeks.

I was ready. And after this am going to kill Roman with my own bare hands for not telling me I was going to be with Quin the whole flight.

Cupping some water into my hand, I rinsed my mouth. Another splash on my cheeks and I wiped the dark mascara smudges from beneath my eyes. After smoothing my hoodie and jeans, I took a deep breath and opened the door to find Zara's smiling face. I peered over her shoulder towards the front of the plane. From the angle and distance, I could see that the door to the outside was already closed. My escape route was gone.

I inhaled and exhaled in submission. "Where should I sit?"

"That's up to you. However for takeoff and landing, you must be seat-belted." Of course I knew that punk, I have been in several planes many times.

I made my way to one of the theater-like chairs and immediately stopped in my trucks when I saw him. In stunned silence, I scanned him up and down. His clothes were casual compared to the usual outfit he would wear. He wore blue jeans, worn in all the right places, hanging low from his hips and showcasing his long legs and thick powerful thighs. His collarless shirt fit well, highlighting a broad neck, a defined torso and broad biceps.

Though I could gaze upon his body for hours, that wasn't what stilled my pulse to the point of feeling faint. It was his eyes, the way they looked, not at me into me. No longer was I imagining his dark stare. It was trained on me making me feel like this hoodie and jeans I've worn feel like they are the most sexiest clothing have ever worn.
