Nyx didn’t mind his gaze, but the man looked awkward standing right in the middle of the kitchen, just looking at her. She rolled her eyes at him and with her eyes on the ingredients she was getting out of the fridge, she said to James: /"Just go sit in the living room and play with Murmur./"

/"Murmur?/"

/"The cat. Sit on the couch, and she will come to you./"

/"Is your cat so friendly with everyone?/" James asked as he sat in the armchair instead. If he sat on the couch, he would be sitting with his back to Nyx. For some reason, that felt like a dangerous thing to do. He preferred to keep an eye on the woman. At least sitting in the armchair, he needed to just turn his head to the right to look at his pancakes being made.

/"Nope. She doesn’t like people at all./" Nyx answered him.

/"But she has been clinging to me this whole time./"
