The Prophecy

Years later...

"And here we are, Miss. Your dress is ready. It was a pleasure embroidering the skirt for you."

The sea-foam green-haired girl smiled at her customer, the daughter of the leader of the village. The young lady smiled back, and took the dress in her arms.

"What craftsmanship! You have talent, Hannah."

Hannah blushed. "Th-thank you, Miss."

Just as the lady turned to get her money, the local messenger burst through the shops door and flopped face-first onto the floor. Hannah and the Lady rushed to help him up.

Hannah laughed. "what is it that's got you so speedy? Just yesterday you grumbled about your job.."

"Yea, I know," The messenger dusted his hat. "But This...!" His hand emerged from his bag with a flourish. "..Is for you, Hannah! From the King himself!!"

Hannah and the Lady gasped. She gingerly took the letter from his hands, and cracked the wax seal. Opening the folded paper, she read these words:

" Dear Miss Amaryllis,

It has been fifteen years. Fifteen years since the last Chosen One had ascended the Blessed Tower to extend the life of our paradise. They have recently passed away, and we have instantly spotted signs of corruption in our land.

Recently, The Oracle had a vision. A vision of a woman with bright ocean eyes and hair that looked like elegant ribbons of emerald silk ascending the Tower---"

"No..." She sank into a nearby chair. Her childhood came rushing back like tides.

A little green haired girl was standing on a hill, a makeshift staff in her small hand. Her friends were behind her, looking towards a towering structure in the distance, seemingly disappearing into the clouds. She lifted a small fist towards the sky, and her friends followed suit.

"We can save this paradise!" they all shouted in unison.

" Hannah? Hannah! What is it? Oh God... Messenger! Get the poor girl some water!"

"No, Its fine, Miss..." She looked up from the letter, and for a moment, she felt lost. Then her eyes widened.

"I have to pack!"

Hannah hitched her bag over her shoulder and looked at the messenger and the Lady. They bowed to her in reverence, and the lady ran to hug her. Soon, a crowd was forming around them. they had heard the news.

"So she is..."

"I thought so. She's a nice girl.."

"I've seen her go to church every day...she's a holy gal, that Hannah..."

As Hannah walked through the crowd, people looked at her in awe. At the Outskirts of the village, she turned to them.

"Well... Goodbye! I'll get to the top of the Tower, nothing will stop me from protecting this paradise!" She lifted her fist in the air. The crowd cheered.

"Wait! WAIIIIIT!!" Two siblings, a brother and his sister, ran towards Hannah.

"We want to go with you!"
