10 [New World Arc] Part 10: Changes

I was lying on the couch in the living room while looking at the ceiling. Now that I found out I'm a Fullbringer, what I wanted to do most at the moment was develop my powers even more, however, there were several things I needed to take into account.

Yato: 'I don't really understand what it feels like to have spiritual energy as I feel normal, but if my sudden tiredness has something to do with my Fullbring it means I lose a lot of spiritual energy when I use it. Not to mention that I appeared out of nowhere in this world. Did this body always have spiritual energy or did it have spiritual energy when I reincarnated? If it's the second option, I'm sure both Urahara and Aizen must at least have suspicions that I have powers. Living too close to Ichigo's house would only increase their suspicions.'

I looked towards the cat and saw that he was sleeping on the living room floor.

Yato: 'Considering the random time change, if this Fullbring works like Vanessa's magic from Black Clover, I already have an idea of what his powers are, but he seems to act automatically. But if that were the case, he'd be doing whatever he wanted from the moment I woke up.'

I started scratching the back of my neck a little uncomfortable with the situation. As much as I wanted to continue with my theories and learn how to use my powers soon, I didn't want to draw even more attention by accidentally activating my Fullbring's abilities again.

Yato: 'I'd better think about it tomorrow.' - I said as I got up to take a shower.

After the shower, I quickly changed into my pajamas because I didn't intend to leave the house anymore today. To make sure I wasn't late for school tomorrow, I set my cell phone alarm.

I watched TV for a few minutes but nothing interesting was on at the moment.

After turning off the TV and locking the house I finally went to my room to try to get some sleep.

# Next Day | April 2 - Karakura Town, Minamikawase - 06:00 a.m. #

I had already finished getting ready and was about to leave the house and I saw that the red cat was following me again. This could be a problem as if he followed me everywhere, anyone who had a certain amount of spiritual energy could see him.

Yato: "Can you stay at home until I get back? If you come along with me, Ichigo or Uryu might see you."

"Meow!"

The cat rubbed itself against my leg and then went back into the house.

Yato: 'Luckily for me, he's quite obedient. Which is strange considering I don't even control these powers yet.'

Nothing so interesting happened today. I managed to get to school on time, classes were smooth and even the conversations about my "marriage" were more bearable. The only ones who didn't touch on this subject were Ichigo, Tatsuki and Chad. Sometimes it's fun to interact with them. Since I'd rather listen than talk, that meant I didn't talk to Chad much. Ichigo and Tatsuki had similar personalities, but as Tatsuki was part of the karate club, I talked more with Ichigo than with her.

After school ended, Ichigo had left early with Chad, Keigo and Mizuiro. They intended to go play arcades and even called me in, but I intended to get home soon and get back to my theories. As I was leaving school, I saw Tatsuki and the karate club finishing their daily training and I couldn't help but think that it was impressive that Tatsuki was considered the second strongest girl in Japan.

Yato: 'Come to think of it…it doesn't make much sense for Orihime and Chad to gain powers and Tatsuki not. According to the anime, Chad and Orihime's fullbring awoke thanks to their interaction with Ichigo's spiritual energy and Hougyoku's will. If I'm not mistaken, both Chad and Orihime met Ichigo when they were 12 or 13 years old. But if living with Ichigo is an important factor…why wasn't Tatsuki affected when she met Ichigo when they were still kids?'

Yato: "Maybe it was just one more piece of information that the author must have forgotten to explain. Which is a shame. It would be nice to see what Tatsuki's powers would be like."

Suddenly I started to feel tired and leaned against the wall for fear of passing out at the school gates. The feeling of sleep only increased with every second.

Tatsuki was in the locker room finishing changing clothes after taking a shower. Today's training had been arduous and took longer than usual, not that it was a problem for her, but she had promised to go out with her friend Orihime and didn't want to make her friend wait too long.

As the girl left the locker room and closed the door, something caught her eye. There was something moving near the changing room door and when the young woman looked in that direction, she came face to face with a small animal.

Tatsuki: 'Huh? A cat? But why is his fur red?'
