85 Chapter 83: Aizen

Aizen is about to make a move.

Yamahiko tightly grips the short spear in his hand, his gaze fixed on Aizen. Aizen's strength is formidable.

Even advanced Kidō without incantation alone would be challenging for him to handle. His Zanjutsu and Shunpo skills are top-notch.

Aizen's prowess extends beyond the abilities of typical Shinigami, and his skill extends beyond Zanpakutō abilities, as he already possessed abilities surpassing Hollows and Shinigami.

Eighty years ago, he had already reached the pinnacle of a Shinigami's power, and he continued to pursue even greater strength.

Throughout the Seireitei, the only person who makes him apprehensive is Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni, a Shinigami who is at least two thousand years old.

Yamahiko isn't certain of his victory, especially with his body covered in injuries. The inevitable outcome is death.

Yamahiko doesn't wish for death, but when it looms over him, he is willing to fight desperately for that last chance at survival.

If he dies, the letter left to Unohana Retsu will be exposed, and the Gotei 13 will no longer provide a refuge for Aizen.

Electric arcs flicker in Yamahiko's right hand, ultimately converging at his back to form thunder wings.

BOOM.

Yamahiko's body flickered, appearing behind Aizen, and he thrust his short spear.

Bang!

Aizen's Zanpakuto swung down, effortlessly blocking the attack. However, in the next moment, Yamahiko's left hand was enveloped in a cluster of lightning, forming a constantly trembling thunder blade that pierced towards Aizen's face.

Rumbling.

Aizen reached out and grasped the thunder blade, crushing it with a gentle squeeze.

Yamahiko's eyes narrowed, and he thrust his long spear three times. With each thrust, several lightning birds were released, scattering in all directions.

Aizen's Zanpakuto lightly swayed, blocking Yamahiko's thrusts. However, when Aizen blocked the second thrust from Yamahiko, the lightning birds from the first attack had already circled around to Aizen's back and were aiming for his rear.

"Quite impressive," Aizen said with a slight smile. He waved his left hand, conjuring a circular shield behind him.

Bakudō #39. Enkōsen (Circle Lock Fan)

Boom, boom, boom.

Five lightning birds collided with the circular shield, shattering it. However, following Yamahiko's third thrust, several more lightning birds came flying.

Nevertheless, the circular shield, the "Enkōsen," still stood strong behind Aizen, blocking the explosive impact of the lightning birds. Aizen's version of the "Enkōsen" was more potent than Yamahiko's. In terms of Kidō abilities, Aizen could be considered a genius in the realm of Kidō.

After the third thrust from Yamahiko, the remaining lightning birds once again assaulted Aizen. Taking advantage of the distraction caused by the lightning birds, Yamahiko's left hand produced a small, round device.

A miniature electromagnetic cannon.

The acceleration time for the large electromagnetic cannon was too long, so Yamahiko had to resort to the miniature electromagnetic cannon, which could reach speeds three times the speed of sound.

Swoosh.

The projectile transformed into a beam of light, heading towards Aizen's waist and abdomen. Aizen, with his left hand blocking the lightning birds, swiftly unsheathed his Zanpakuto.

Clang.

The projectile was deflected by Aizen's Zanpakuto. However, at that moment, Yamahiko's right-hand short spear was aimed at Aizen. Electric arcs crackled, and a massive blue beam of light erupted, enveloping Aizen.

Hadō #88. Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon.)

The electromagnetic cannon and the lightning birds were used only as distractions, buying Yamahiko some time to prepare for this ability.

Facing Hadō #88, Aizen couldn't afford to be complacent. He waved his left hand, conjuring a transparent barrier.

Bakudō #81. Dankū (Splitting Void), which could defend against Hadō up to 89.

However, with a resounding crash, Danku shattered into pieces.

While Danku could block Hadō up to 89 without incantation, its strength was not particularly high. Aizen was able to use an incantation-less Danku to block Tessai Tsukabishi's incantation-less, Hadō #88.

However, Yamahiko's lightning cannon was a complete version, even more powerful than the incantation version, and purer, with approximately three times the power of the incantation-less version.

Shattering Danku only consumed half of its energy. The remaining lightning cannon engulfed Aizen.

But when the lightning cannon dissipated, Aizen's trace had vanished, appearing in the distance.

He had evaded it. His Shunpo was exceptionally fast, on par with or even surpassing Suì-Fēng's.

"Very impressive, strategic maneuvers, taking it step by step. If it were someone else, you would have injured them by now," Aizen said with a smile as he gazed at Yamahiko.

He continued, "Alright, time is running out. I'm not interested in Urahara Kisuke's location anymore. It's time to finish this."

As Aizen spoke, his figure flickered, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Yamahiko, swinging his sword down.

'I can see it.'

Yamahiko grasped Aizen's trajectory. His lightning wings moved, evading Aizen's attack. However, in the next moment, a beam of light came at him.

Hadō #4. Byakurai

Under Aizen's control, Byakurai had become exceptionally powerful, reaching Yamahiko in an instant.

Yamahiko didn't dare to face it head-on, so he dodged to the side. Byakurai grazed his cheek, and before he could regain his footing, another strike came.

Yamahiko raised his short spear to block it.

Crack

A shocking scene unfolded before Yamahiko. His short spear was completely shattered, and Aizen's Zanpakuto sliced down across his shoulder.

Splurt.

A long blood trail extended from Yamahiko's left shoulder to his right abdomen.

The Zanpakuto was broken.

His Shikai form, Raijinmaru, had actually shattered.

Shikai and Bankai were different. When a Shikai was shattered, it could automatically regenerate, just like when Ikkaku Madarame's Zanpakuto was broken by Edrad Liones and later fully restored when he deactivated his release state. But missing parts from a Bankai would remain absent, like Renji Abarai's Bankai. Once broken, they could only be rebuilt from scratch.

Only Sajin Komamura's Bankai could self-repair, but even his Bankai was shattered by Aizen's single strike.

This demonstrated Aizen's incredible power in his Zanpakuto strikes, which were beyond comprehension. The short spear in Yamahiko's hand had transformed into a Zanpakuto and fell to the ground, with the stored lightning energy disappearing completely.

Instinctively, Yamahiko reached for it, but four sword lights appeared, severing all the tendons and muscles in his limbs. Then, with a quick movement, a long blade pierced through his lower abdomen.

As the blade was pulled out, Yamahiko fell heavily to the ground, unable to move his arms.

Aizen descended from the air and produced a transparent cubic confinement device from his pocket, containing a blue sphere.

Hogyoku, although it was an incomplete Hogyoku, could break the boundaries between Shinigami and Hollows.

Seeing the Hogyoku, Yamahiko said bitterly, "Are you going to turn me into a Hollow?"

"It seems you really know about this."

Aizen smiled and said, "That's right, killing a genius like you directly could lead to trouble. I will turn you into a Hollow, and when your captain, Suì-Fēng, arrives here, how do you think she will react when she sees you?"

"Suì-Fēng will come?"

Yamahiko widened his eyes, and the thought of the upcoming situation filled him with despair.

Aizen smiled and said, "Of course, Suì-Fēng is chasing a rogue Shinigami, and that Shinigami is about to arrive here. Suì-Fēng will be drawn here, and then you will engage in battle."

Yamahiko gritted his teeth and said, "So you arranged that Shinigami as well."

Aizen smiled and said, "Doesn't that show how much I value you? I've set up so much, all just to kill you legitimately."

Yamahiko looked at Aizen and coldly said, "Aren't you afraid of being discovered?"

Yamahiko was referring to the letter left for Unohana Retsu, but Aizen mistakenly thought he was talking about the matter of becoming a Hollow. Aizen responded, "No, Lamierez's appearance has led most Shinigami to believe that it was the work of Kisuke Urahara, especially Captain Sui-Feng, whom you admire. No one will find out."

However, Yamahiko smirked and said, "But you will definitely die."

Aizen smiled slightly and remained unfazed by Yamahiko's threat. He chuckled and said, "I'm sorry, but you won't be able to witness my death scene. As for you, you will either be killed by the one you love or end up killing the one you love. So, remember this fear and embrace becoming a Hollow."

With Aizen's words, the containment device opened a small aperture, and the Hōgyoku was aimed at Yamahiko. In the next moment, as despair engulfed Yamahiko's heart, white substance emanated from his eyes, instantly covering his face.
