Chapter 63 Guardian spirit

Ichigo felt nothing when he looked upon those elders who struggle just to breathe under his spiritual pressure.

They were those who he hated the most. They did nothing but make this world hard to live for everyone.

They were pollution to the highest degree that needed to be gotten rid off as soon as possible.

The Karen elder wanted to beg for her life but Ichigo didn't care. He needed to be decisive when dealing with this matter.

"Contact your guardian right now. Or else I will treat it like you all trespassing to my territory. And you know what that means right."

Ichigo threatened them without mercy.

"Please, C–Can you just let us go and we would never step foot here again."

One of the elders begged. If they contacted their guardian it was the same as forfeiting their life.

Ichigo didn't care one bit. He wanted them to contact their guardian because he wanted to know their reaction to this kind of situation for further analysis.

If they showed concern about them that would mean they might think that they had big a supporter and might come to get revenge later. 

And to prevent that he might not have a choice but to kill them all in secret to cut the roots of the causes.

But if they just let him do whatever he needed to these elders. Then there was no need to shed blood as he could just give them the warning.

They would not dare do anything stupid when they couldn't afford to offend him and they didn't have anyone to rely on.

That's when leaving them alive was more beneficial to him.

'I hate politics but I need to live with it.'

Ichigo sighed inside. He needed to know what their stance was.

"I said… Contact your guardian. This is the final warning. If you do not contact them right now. I will kill you all!"

Ichigo increased his output of spiritual pressure making all the elders struggle harder on the floor.

"W–We will! Please have mercy!"

Ichigo then decreased the output so they could contact their guardian.

Then one of the elders pulled out a talisman and threw it on the floor. 

He recited something before the talisman burnt with bluish flame and then a being made of pure energy began to form.

It looked like a Chinese dragon. He then looked at Ichigo.

"Hum? Who might you be and why are all the idiots lying on the floor. Oh! I know they did something stupid again?"

The dragon didn't seem to care much about the elder and he seemed to hate them as well.

Seeing that, Ichigo was surprised.

"You don't seem to get along with them?"

Ichigo asked to confirm if the dragon hated them or not.

"Don't get along is putting it lightly, Of course I hate them because they always give me a headache. I really want you to kill them if possible. Unfortunately they still got one favor and if I return the favor for their family one more time. My job here is done."

Hearing that Ichigo's eyes sparkle. Even though it was kind of outside of his expected scenario.

But wasn't this a god… No soul king giving chance.

He didn't think that his luck would be this good.

The elders heard the dragon and their face went pale.

If their guardian treated this situation as returning the favor. 

Wouldn't that mean their family would lose their greatest support.

And they would decline until nothing left of it.

"Why don't you help them this time and treat it like you gave them a favor. If you ask, I can let them leave."

Ichigo recommended. With this he was absolutely sure that they wouldn't dare do anything.

No, They couldn't do anything even if they wanted to.

"Really, Are you really going to do that for me? Ophis's champion."

"Ophis's champion?"

The dragon called him a weird nickname. Since when he became Ophis's champion?

"You didn't know? My bad, let's treat it like you didn't hear me. About what you offer. I am very grateful and It will count as returning the favor to their family. Finally I can get on a vacation in Takamagahara!"

The dragon seemed to miss that place very much.

If he remembered correctly, Takamagahara was the heaven for Shinto faction.

"I will let them go then. But after that, Can I ask about what you mean by me being Ophis's champion?"

"I don't see any reason to refuse. It wasn't like she hid it or something."

Ichigo nodded, then he let the elders go.

The elders then ran away as fast as they could. They didn't even think about Tsubaki.

To them, having her or not wasn't important anymore. They needed to tell their patriarch about this.

And about getting revenge. Forget it. He wasn't just a captain of the Gotei Jusantai but also Ophis the fucking infinite dragon champion.

They would chose to kill themselves before having a problem with someone like him.
