107 Chapter 107 Purely platonic indeed

"Naruko, can you stop hugging me?"

Ichigo said to Naruko. She had been clinging to him ever since he helped her many times from the bullies. He also taught them not to bully anyone. Unless they want to be bullied by him,

Naruko reluctantly released her hold on Ichigo, a look of disappointment evident on her face.

Naruko looked up at Ichigo with a sheepish smile. 

"Sorry, Ichigo. I just feel safe and protected when I'm with you." 

She admitted it, finally releasing her tight hold on him.

Rukia looked between the two. How could someone hug her soon-to-be husband like that?

Ichigo looked at the jealous little midget. He couldn't help but laugh inside at Rukia's reaction. He knew that Naruko's affection for him was purely platonic and that Rukia had nothing to worry about.

"Rukia, this is Uzumaki Naruko, and Naruko, this is Kuchiki Rukia."

Ichigo introduced them to each other with a smile. Naruko returned the gesture, her eyes twinkling mischievously. 

"Nice to meet you, Rukia."

She said it warmly, extending her hand for a handshake. Rukia hesitated for a moment before accepting it, realizing that maybe her initial judgment had been too quick. 

But she felt a shock of electricity when their hands touched, causing her to quickly withdraw her hand. Naruko's mischievous smile widened.

Ichigo saw that and couldn't help but smack her head a little.

"Don't be mean."

"S-Sorry"

Naruko apologized sheepishly, her mischievous expression fading slightly. Ichigo sighed, hoping that Rukia wouldn't be put off by Naruko's playful nature.

"She meant no harm; She just likes to prank people."

Ichigo explained, hoping to ease any tension that Rukia might be feeling. 

"Naruko can be a handful, but she's a good friend once you get to know her." 

He glanced at Naruko, who was now looking apologetic.

Rukia understood, and she would not let Naruko's playful nature affect her opinion of her. Even though she felt jealous, she was not a jerk.

And it should be the time for them to order something so Teuchi wouldn't feel left out.

"Let's order something. Naruko, are you here to help Teuchi-san like usual?"

Ichigo asked, to which Naruko nodded. She would usually come here to eat and help Teuchi run his ramen shop.

To her, this shop was like her second home. She had spent countless hours here, enjoying the delicious ramen and the warm atmosphere.

"Yup, and what do you like to have, Ichigo, and you too, Rukia-san? Oh, and nice to meet you, by the way."

Naruko smiled cheerfully at Rukia.

"I recommend trying the special miso ramen; it's my personal favorite. But feel free to explore the menu and choose whatever you'd like!" 

Ichigo ordered his usual ramen. As for Rukia, She picked what Naruko recommended. This showed that she didn't mind it when Naruko pranked her.

"I like you, I will give you two more Narutomaki!"

"It looks like you gained her approval. From now on, she will help you when you are in Karakura town. Or in youkai teritory."

Rukia looked at Ichigo. She wanted to ask if Naruko was strong or not, and he gave her answer.

"She can fight with Soifon-taicho and never lose once."

"So strong!"

"Yes, Very."

Ichigo still remembers her nine-tail form. Even Yasaka couldn't hope to stand against her. Her power was truly awe-inspiring. It was clear that Naruko possessed immense strength and skill, making her a formidable ally in any battle.

As for him, he could beat her by sealing her. He was her natural enemy, so whenever she lost control, he would seal her altered ego inside her inner world.

'Hopfully Kurama wouldn't be angry at me for so long.'

Ichigo sighed. Even now, she still refuses to come out of Naruko's inner world.

They had lunch together, and Rukia knew Naruko better. They actually became friends. They had so many things alike.

Ichigo felt a sense of relief knowing that Rukia and Naruko had formed a friendship. When he and Soifon weren't here, Naruko could take care of Rukia for them.

Ichigo ate his ramen while Naruko brought Rukia somewhere with her. She said that he could go back to his duty. They would talk about the human world in more detail. This could be considered Rukia's work.

"I felt left out somehow, but okay."

Ichigo then paid for him and the two lunches. Teuchi didn't shy away from billing him the enormous Naruko bill because he knew that Ichigo was loaded with money.

"Keep her tab on me like usual."

Ichigo then went back to his duty, while he didn't know that Rukia and Naruko didn't talk about the human world at all. But talk about him instead.

Who said that Naruko only had platonic feelings for him? That was just some pure bullshit.

She batshit yandere him, and it made Rukia doubt her life choice.
