23 Shrieker

The next day.....

"Hang in there, Karin." Ichigo whispered while he was carrying Karin. Karin was coughing in his arms.

Ichigo was already in front of the Kurosaki Clinic. Karin looked at him.

"I... saw the memories of the Soul inside the parakeet last night because I'm the closest to him in age. Please.... save him, Ichigo. Tell him that he can see his mother again if he crosses over. " Karin begged weakly. She had tears flowing out of her eyes. Ichigo nodded with a serious face.

" I will Karin. That's a promise. Now let's get you back to bed. " Ichigo whispered with a soft smile on his face. He entered the clinic and put Karin to bed.

Ichigo immediately ran towards Rukia's location. He disappeared in a blur and arrived on top of the rooftop.

'Karin rarely cries. Actually, both her and Yuzu were crybabies until Mom died. Yuzu took over our mother's housekeeping duties in the following years.' Ichigo thought to himself while he was looking around. He disappeared in a blur again and arrived on another rooftop.

'Karin stopped crying altogether so she would not worry the rest of our family because she did not have much skill in anything. ' Ichigo continued to recount his memories. He stopped thinking when he set his eyes on something.

"Found you. Shrieker." Ichigo grinned. But suddenly, Ichigo almost burst out laughing.

Chad was repeatedly swinging his fists at the air. Rukia was sitting on the ground deadpanning at him.

"So he can't actually see him." Rukia grumbled. But then she looked to her left and saw Ichigo waving at her.

Rukia immediately stood up and ran towards him. Chad didn't notice her running away. Rukia put on her Gokon Tekkō and punched Ichigo in the chest.

Ichigo's soul flew out of his physical body. He looked at Shrieker who was about to attack Chad.

"Tryna kill the most motivated Mexican man? Not on my watch. " Ichigo appeared in front of Shrieker. Shrieker widened his eyes in surprise.

" Wha—

*SHING!!!*

Ichigo slashed downwards with his claymore in his right hand, slicing Shrieker's mask and head in half.

Suddenly, Shrieker's wound begins spewing a torrent of energy as a large set of gates with the upper torsos of skeletons sticking out of the center of each door appears behind him.

Rukia arrived beside him. "These are the Gates of Hell, Ichigo. The Zanpakutō of a Shinigami can only cleanse Souls of the sins they committed as Hollows. If the spirit committed heinous crimes as a Human, it will be sent through the Gates of Hell instead of Soul Society." Rukia explained to him. Ichigo nodded.

"He deserves to be there." Ichigo muttered as he watches the scene unfold in front of his eyes.

As the chains on the gates break apart, the gates open to reveal a red void within, and Shrieker screams as his mask is torn apart before a large arm wielding an equally large blade impales him from behind, causing the gates to close and shatter.

Ichigo watched it all with a big grin on his face. He turned around and looked at his surroundings.

"Now where's that damn bird...

Later that day, Ichigo, Sado, and Rukia gather around Yūichi.

" Your Chain of Fate has been severed. Unfortunately we can't return you to your physical body." Rukia muttered as she looked at Yuichi. Yuichi became depressed on the spot.

"But don't worry, Soul Society is a place better than the Human World where you will never be hungry and feel light all the time. " Rukia assured a dejected Yuichi with a gentle smile on her face.

"You will be able to see your mother again if you cross over, Yuichi. So you should be happy instead of being sad." Ichigo added. Yuichi perked up.

" Can I say one last word to Chad? " Yuichi asked Ichigo. Ichigo nodded and dragged Rukia away.

" Wha— Hey! We're supposed to perform the Konsō on him! " Rukia whined. Ichigo did the shushing motion.

"Just let the talk for a while. While they're saying their last goodbyes, we can make out in this alleyway right here." Ichigo grinned and dragged Rukia to the alleyway he was talking about.

" Wa-wait what! " Rukia shouted in disbelief. She was blushing madly. Her face was crimson red.

Ichigo smirked and slammed Rukia into the grey concrete wall. "Kyaa!!!" Rukia shrieked. She looked at Ichigo who was looking at her seductively. Both of them were breathing really heavily.

"Ichigo...." Rukia muttered. Ichigo raised an eyebrow.

" Get away from me or I'll kick you in the balls." Rukia growled with a tick mark on her forehead.

" But you're very beautiful. I just can't resist. " Ichigo whispered.

" The way you kick your feet in the air while you draw. I just can't stop watching you. " Ichigo growled as the aura around him darkened.

" I know you're doing this on purpose. " Ichigo muttered as he intertwined his hands with Rukia's.

" I'm not your idiot! You're the one being a pervert! Now unhand me this instant! " Rukia pouted at him.

" No. " Ichigo replied while looking at her with a deadpan.

"C'mon! What if someone sees us!" Rukia whined. Ichigo raised an eyebrow.

"They would only see you. I'm just a soul remember? " Ichigo grinned mischievously at her.

"Ehem."

They turned around and saw Chad standing there looking at Rukia. Rukia pushed Ichigo away from her.

"I assume that's Ichigo you just pushed away." Chad pointed out while carrying Ichigo's physical body with his left hand while carrying Yuichi's bird cage on his right.

Rukia nodded.

"Have you said your good-byes?" Rukia asked him. Chad nodded.

Ichigo who was invisible to Chad, tapped the hilt of his claymore on Yuichi's bird head gently.

Yuichi proceeds to sink into the ground in a pool of blue light as he is sent to Soul Society, and a Jigokuchō(Hell Butterfly) flies away from their point of departure.

Chad was silent. He looked at Rukia.

"Thank you Rukia and Ichigo for helping Yuichi." Chad thanked them. Rukia smiled and nodded.

"You're welcome. Now, be prepared to get your memories swapped." Rukia smirked at him while holding up a Kikanshinki(Account-Replacing Spirit Device).

"Wha—

*Poof!!!*

A bird's head pops from the top of the device and produces a puff of pink smoke. Chad was immediately knocked unconscious.

He dropped to the ground and stayed there. Ichigo returned to his physical body and got up. He looked at Chad and chuckled.

"I hope he thinks he got drunk." Ichigo muttered. Rukia chuckled.

"The memories are random so we may never know what's going to happen." Rukia told him. Suddenly, she glared at him and had an angry smirk on her face.

" Now let's talk about you wanting to make out with me....
