"What should I name you, kitty." Ichigo asked himself while looking at the black cat sitting in front of him.

Yoruichi was looking at him with a curious glint in her golden eyes. But on the inside she was panicking.

'Please don't give me a stupid name, please please please please—

"Oh I know. I'll name you Yoruichi. It means 'Night One'. It fits!" Ichigo grabbed Yoruichi and hugged her with a smile on his face.

'What the fuuuuuuuucccckkk!' Yoruichi cursed in her mind. She was very surprised but was also thankful at the same time.

Ichigo released their gentle hug and looked at Yoruichi. "I wonder why you were at my doorstep. Well it doesn't matter, I'll take very good care of you, Yoruichi. " Ichigo smiled kindly at her.

" Meow. "

" Fuck. " Ichigo looked down and breathed in and out.

" You're so cute. " Ichigo muttered and looked back at her. Yoruichi looked smug.

Ichigo put her down gently and he went to grab his khyber knife. Yoruichi looked at him curiously.

Ichigo sat down in front of her and looked at her with a grin. "Look at this, Yoruichi." He raised the knife and a small black ball appeared on the tip of the blade.

"Meow!" Yoruichi jumped a little.

"Cool right? I just found out I could do that a few minutes ago. " Ichigo told her proudly and the black ball disappeared.

Yoruichi secretly breathed a sigh of relief. 'I thought he was about to blast me with that! ' She thought to herself.

"When I master these powers, I'm going to go find that demon that killed my mother and sliced him into pieces like he did with her." Ichigo growled and gripped the hilt of the khyber knife tightly.

"That demon.... I know he isn't the only one. There are others out there who are definitely just as ruthless as he is. " Ichigo looked at Yoruichi who was looking at him with a blank look on her face.

" Meow. "

"God gave me this power for a reason. And I will use it to protect the defenseless like my family, friends and you. " Ichigo smiled warmly at her.

" You probably won't understand what I'm saying, Yoruichi. But all you need to understand is that I will protect you until I die." Ichigo declared to her.

"Meow~" Yoruichi meowed happily. Ichigo chuckled.

Ichigo put back the khyber knife and sat down in front of her again. He looked at her. Yoruichi didn't like that look.

"So Yoruichi, are you a man?" Ichigo asked curiously.

"Meow!!" Yoruichi meowed angrily and swatted his hand with her paw. Ichigo laughed loudly.

"You're a woman then, a very feisty one at that." Ichigo grinned at her. He gently patted her head.

"I like you already, Yoruichi. We're going to become the best of friends." Ichigo muttered.

" Meow~"

It was the middle of the night, Ichigo and his family were fast asleep, but their new family cat Yoruichi was wide awake. She climbed to the window and opened it with her strength.

She jumped out of the window and landed on the ground. She started running in a direction.

Kisuke was in his shop tidying up until he heard footsteps approaching him. He turned around and saw a dark skinned woman standing in front of him.

Kisuke narrowed his eyes. The woman looked very flustered and embarrassed for some reason. "Yoruichi. Why are you so flustered? How are you even flustered?" Kisuke opened his fan and hid his face. Under it he was grinning mischievously.

Yoruichi looked away and stayed silent. "C'mon. Just tell me. I won't laugh." Kisuke goaded. Yoruichi sighed.

"That kid. He took me into his house and said I was their new addition to their family. " Yoruichi explained.

"And then, he took me to his room and gave me a name. " Yoruichi clenched her fist. Kisuke raised an eyebrow.

" I don't know how, but the name he gave me was Yoruichi." Yoruichi muttered. Kisuke snickered.

"It's not funny Kisuke! Do you know how many times I have to hear him say I'm cute! He even said he'll take good care of me! He's definitely messing with me! It's so embarrassing!" Yoruichi ranted. Kisuke can't hold back anymore. He laughed loudly.

"Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!" Kisuke cackled. Yoruichi sighed. Kisuke looked at her with a grin.

"Well you can't turn back now. It'll be fine, it's not like he knows about our world. I bet he also can't sense Reiatsu either do you're fine. You're in good hands Yoruichi. " Kisuke reassured the chocolate skinned woman.

"I hope your assumptions are correct, Kisuke. If they're not I'll claw you're face until Tessai and the others can't even recognize you." Yoruichi threatened calmly.

"Sure sure. Now go away, you're disturbing my beauty sleep." Kisuke waved at her and walked away. Yoruichi sighed in defeat.

She transformed into her cat form and sprinted back to Ichigo's house.

It was the next day, Ichigo was at school again. Currently, he was having a conversation with Orihime and Tatsuki.

"So when can we visit your house again?" Orihime asked him.

"You can visit anytime, Hime." Ichigo answered while spinning his pen.

"Yay!!" Orihime cheered happily.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Orihime clapped her hands together. Ichigo looked at her curiously.

"Yesterday, Tatsuki and I baked some bread together. So I was wondering if we could bring them as well. " Orihime explained to Ichigo.

" How much did you bake? " Ichigo looked at Tatsuki.

"We baked too much. " Tatsuki muttered with an embarrassed blush on her face. Ichigo chuckled.

" That's alright. You can give some of them to my sisters and father so that they won't go to waste. " Ichigo replied to her. Tatsuki smiled.

"There's also a surprise waiting for you two at my home." Ichigo smiled mischievously. Tatsuki did not like that smile. She raised her hands and squished his cheeks.

" What are you planning huh? " Tatsuki growled at him.

" Meow~"

The girls looked at Ichigo's school bag that was on the ground. Ichigo glanced at it with a confused look on his face.

" Hold up. " Ichigo escaped Tatsuki's grasp on his face and reached into his bag with his two hands. He widened his brown eyes.

Ichigo pulled out his hands. The girls widened their eyes at what he was holding in his hands.

"Yoruichi? What are you doing here?" Ichigo smiled in amusement as he looked at her innocent face.

"Meow~" Yoruichi meowed happily. Ichigo laughed.

"Girls. Meet Yoruichi, my new friend." Ichigo turned Yoruichi around so she was facing Orihime and Tatsuki.

"Meow~" Yoruichi greeted them. Orihime and Tatsuki had stars in their eyes.

"Kyaaa!!!~ She's so cute!!" Orihime squealed happily. Tatsuki who was more restrained looked at Ichigo.

"Is she the surprise you wanted to show us?" Tatsuki asked him. Ichigo nodded.

"I found her sitting in front of my house so I decided to keep her." Ichigo answered her question.

Tatsuki looked at Yoruichi and gulped. 'Oh god. What is this feeling inside of me! Is this... my feminine side? ' Tatsuki was panicking in her mind.

"You can pet her, she won't bite." Ichigo told them. Orihime smiled and patted her head gently.

"Your fur is so soft!!" Orihime muttered. She was already obsessed.

"Meow~ Meow~!"

Tatsuki raised her hand to join in on the fun. But suddenly, the teacher walked in. The students immediately went back to their seats.

Ichigo looked at Yoruichi. "Be quiet okay? I'll give you milk later."

"Meow."

Ichigo sighed and put Yoruichi back into his school bag. He stared in front of him, not listening to the teacher droning on and on about how to calculate the mass of the sun.

'I don't need this. Being a Captain Commander is what I want to be.....
